Stamping 411 "Blast from the Past"!

I've got another Blast from the Past for you today!  What is a "Blast from the Past"?  It's a fun post where I use a sketch from the past and create a scrapbook page!!  I used the Saturday Sketch #112 today:

And, my scrapbook page:

I'm trying to catch up with all my scrapbooking--this is the 2002 Bermuda Cruise with Stampin' Up!  So, I'm only 10 years behind!! :-)  My two best friends went with me, and we had a GREAT time!!  Here are the supplies I used:

Fabulous Phrases Stamp Set;  Bashful Blue, Night of Navy and Whisper White cardstock.  Scallop Edge Punch and Boho Blossom Punch.  I also used the Night of Navy Stampin' Write marker for the journaling and title.  Very simple, but that's the way I like to scrapbook--the photos should be the focal point!

Blast from the Past!

This is my week for the "Whatever" post on Stamping 411!  Here's what I did:

Good morning!!  Today's post is a fun article in which I take an "old" sketch from the Stamping 411 archives, and turn it into a scrapbook page!!  Today's sketch is from Dec 25, 2009!

And, here is my sweet and simple scrapbook page!

Supplies used:

Just Perfect Alphabet Set

Basic Black Cardstock (12 x 12;  8 1/4" x 8 1/4")

Whisper White cardstock (8 1/2" x 8 1/2";  1 1/2" x 11")

Brushed Silver Cardstock (2 3/4" x 11")

Misc:  Big Shot, Stars #2 Originals Die; Extra Large Oval Punch

The pictures are all trimmed to 4" x 4", and mounted onto the 8 1/4" x 8 1/4" Basic Black cardstock.

Hope you enjoy it!!

Be sure and check back tomorrow for the Stamper's Showcase!!

Albuquerque Regionals!

We had so much fun yesterday, and learned so much!!!  Not sure how they fit so much into just 4 hours!  I was lucky enough to be chosen as a Workshop Wow presenter, and I showed "masking", but with a twist! I used our window sheets, and punched shapes out.  These were my templates!!  Then, I simply sponged, then masked with post its, then sponged some more!!

This is the card I demonstrated:

Workshopwow6

You might remember this one from THIS post!  I won't bore you with the details again--just click on the link to check it out!

Here are some of the samples I showed:

Workshopwow5

I used the Modern Label and Curly Label punches for the border at the bottom.  colors are Real Red and Marina Mist.

Workshopwow2

This one was fun!!  I first sponged all the cirlcles (1" circle punch).  Mask these with post it notes.  Now, sponge all the squares (1" square).  Mask these with post its--but, don't remove the circles!!  Now, sponge over all the masks, to fill in!!  Colors are Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz and Concord Crush!

Come back tomorrow for more samples!!!  Please email me at [email protected] if you have any other questions!

Another Layout (6x6)

Good morning!  Here's the last layout we did with my Scrapbooking Club!

Scmay2

Colors for this one are Peach Parfait and Whisper White!   I used the Designer Series Paper Pack (In color).  It's one of the Level One Hostess choices!  The flowers were punched with the wonderful new Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch!  These punches are soooo much fun!  The "banner" at the bottom was left blank on purpose--so they can add their own title or journaling!

The new Scrapbook Club will start up again in August, and run through May 2012.  Here are the meeting dates (all Sundays @ 2pm):  (We'll make two 2-page, 8x8 spreads each month)

August 7

September 11

October 2

November 6

February 5

March 4

April 15

May 6

If you're interested in joining the next round, email me and I'll let you know the available hostess months!  Don't worry--it's just the month that you'll get all the FREE stuff!  You don't have to have the meeting at your house! :-)  All meetings are here in my stamp studio!

Have a GREAT day!
