CARD: Soar Confidently

Good morning!  (almost afternoon!)  I have a great masculine card for you today!  It was really easy to make--give it a try!

DSCF5808

Measurements

  • Crumb Cake: 4 ¼” x 11”, scored at 5 ½”; 2” x 4 ½” (3), Scrap for sentiment
  • Basic Black: 5 ¼” x 4”;  1” x 4” (3); scrap for sentiment
  • World of Good DSP: 5 1/8” x 3 7/8”

Instructions:

  1. Stamp the balloon once on each of the 2” x 4 ½” pieces of Crumb Cake. Cut out using the Ornate Borders Dies.  Place the die in a different position for each cut—so you’ll have a right side of the balloon, a center and a left side.
  2. Adhere these to the 3 pieces of Black cardstock.
  3. Stamp sentiment on scrap of Crumb Cake and punch out using the Double Oval Punch. Also punch the scalloped oval from a scrap of Basic Black.
  4. Assemble card as shown. The three Balloon panels are adhered using Black Stampin’ Dimensionsals, along with the oval piece.  The rest of the card is assembled using Stampin’ Seal.

Forever Ferns/Emboss Resist Technique

Today's card features the Forever Ferns stamp set, and a neat technique using the Stampin' Spritzers!  I'm entering this into the Paper Players Challenge:  Scarecrow and/or Leaves.   Just leaves here!

SEPTCLUB4B

To do this technique, start with Fluid 100 Watercolor paper, and emboss your leaves using Versamark ink and white embossing powder.  Fill your Stampin' Spritzer with water, then add some drops of Shaded Spruce reinker.  (or your favorite color!).  I used 13 drops for this card.  Lay your panel on some paper towels, and spritz with your colored water!  You can stop with just a few drops, or go all the way like I did--for the saturated look.  Let your panel dry, then assemble your card!

Cottage Wreaths: BOO!!

The Cottage Wreaths is such a great bundle--so versatile!  I look for a set like this each year--to make sure I have a set that covers all the Fall Holidays and occasions!  This one certainly does:  Halloween, Gratitude, Christmas!!  And the coordinated designer paper helps, too!!

Here's one we made for Halloween:

Septsas3

I used a sheet of the Gingham Cottage Designer Paper, and stamped the 3 little dots directly on it--to add some fun!  The main image is cut out with the Layering Circles Dies.  So simple, but oh so cute!!!

Fond of Autumn

Septsas2

Fond of Autumn is such a pretty bundle!  But, for this card, just the pretty sentiment is used!  It's paired with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder (which might be my favorite product in the mini catalog!!) and the Celebrate Everything Designer Paper!  I love the brighter fall colors used in this paper!  What are your favorite fall colors?

Don't forget to RSVP for my WCMD Open House!  This is a free event!!  We'll have two cards for you to make and take home with you, along with lots of inspiration!!  I sure hope you can make it!!  Click HERE to register!   Will be held on Saturday, October 1st -- come anytime between 9am and 11am!

This Birthday Piggy

Good morning, and happy Friday!!  I've got a busy weekend ahead of me--a meeting with my team tomorrow morning, and then my first Holiday Card Class on Sunday afternoon!!  Should be a fun one!!!

Today's card is made with the This Birthday Piggy, and it's "Perfect Partner":  the Playful Piggy Dies!

Stamp the image once and color in using Stampin' Blends (or your favorite coloring method!).  Then cut out using the coordinating die.  Cut out two more of the dies (with no stamping).  You'll stack these three together to add dimension to your image!   Then, stamp your image and add some pearls!

Hello Harvest for GDP#359

Good morning!!  Today's card features the Hello Harvest Bundle--it's such a pretty bundle!  Love the pumpkins and flowers!   The theme for the Global Design Project this week is Autumn/Fall, so here ya go!

Septsas5

The pumpkin is stamped directly onto the Basic White panel, and colored with Stampin' Blends.  I stamped the flowers on a scrap of Basic White (I save all my scraps!! haha!), and cut it out with the coordinating die and Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.  I also used Stampin' Blends on the flowers, and I suggest coloring before cutting--seemed easier to me!   For some added dimension, cut an extra of the floral die (no need to stamp or color it), and glue it behind your colored image.

Pretty Medallion

Happy Saturday!  I'm getting a late start to the day--woke up with a migraine!  Boo!!  And, to add to it, they replaced my kitchen sink this morning!  Which is a great thing, but the noise was not fun!  But, after a long nap, and lots of banging, my headache is gone, and I have a beautiful new sink!

I'm sharing with you a card we made at my August Stamp Club meeting!  Along with the two "drafts"--I couldn't decide what colors I liked where, so I tried several different combinations!  This first card was my "final" version, although most of the ladies went with the Pool Party background!  Which do you like best?
