Measurements

  • Basic White Thick CS – 8 ½” x 5 ½”, scored at 4 ½” to create card base; scrap for stamping sentiment
  • Watercolor Paper – 3 1/2” x 4 ¼”
  • Metallic Specialty Paper – 5 1/8 x 3 ¾”
  • Cajun Craze CS – 5 ¼” x 4”
  • Linen Thread – 12”

Instructions:

  1. Create white card base.
  2. Adhere Cajun Craze layer to card base using Liquid Glue.
  3. Adhere Metallic paper to Cajun Craze layer using Liquid Glue
  4. Fill spritzer with water and spritz front and back of Watercolor Paper (spritzing both front and back will lessen curling). Paper should be wet but not dripping.
  5. Ink up large sunflower image in Cajun Craze, stamp off onto scrap paper twice and then stamp image onto center of wet Watercolor Paper. Clean stamp and repeat quickly with Curry and Pumpkin Pie inks until entire sheet is covered. If paper dries before entire piece has been stamped, spritz that area again and continue.
  6. Use Heat Tool to dry stamped Watercolor Paper.
  7. When paper is completely dry, using each color of ink, stamp sunflower image full strength over other stamped images (from step #5). For final image in center, ink up sunflower in Early Espresso ink, stamp off twice and then stamp over the large Cajun sunflower.
  8. Wrap Linen Thread around stamped piece and tie into a small bow.
  9. Using Cajun Craze ink, stamp sentiment on white scrap and cut around to create a small rectangle. Adhere sentiment piece under bow using several Mini Glue Dots.
  10. Color 5 small pearls using Cajun and Daffodil Blends markers and then adhere to center of sunflower in a random pattern.

Junsas5

Just cut four rectangles of your favorite designer paper--you can use any scraps you have!  Don't forget--each piece has two sides, too!!  Adhere them to a piece of coordinating cardstock, then trim that to fit!  Super easy!

Artfully Layered Happy Birthday

oh gosh, will I miss this one!  It is such a pretty set, and the coordinating designer paper--LOVE!  But, alas, we have to say goodbye!  If you haven't purchased this yet, you only have until June 30th!  Don't miss out!

For this card, I used 3 different patterns from the Artfully Composed Designer Paper--the background, the leaf and the strip of Calypso Coral!  The sentiment is stamped in Evening Evergreen--too coordinate with the leaf!

Happiness Abounds!

I really love this card! Just plain 'ole stamping!  Well, the background panel is embossed, but other than that, just stamping!  No coloring or anything!  But look out bright and fun it is!!

Junsas2

The ribbon is simply tied in a knot and adhered with a mini glue dot!  The trick to this card is to stamp your sentiment first--this helps you with the placement of your other images!

Here are the supplies used on today's card--thank you for shopping small businesses like mine!
