  • Tahitian Tide: 4” x 5 ¼” and 2 ¼” x 3 ½”
  • Whisper White: 7/8” x 1 1/2"

  3. Cut out a piece of Tahitian Tide cardstock using the 2 ¼” x 3 ½” die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies. Stamp the music notes on the cardstock using the matching ink pad. Add the layer to the card using Dimensionals.
  4. Stamp the bird and the wing using Tahitian Tide ink on Basic White cardstock and use the coordinating punch. Adhere the wing to the bird.
  5. Stamp the eyes on the bird using Memento Black ink.
  6. Punch out the beak with Mango Melody cardstock using the punch. Adhere it to the bird.
  7. Stamp the nest on Basic White cardstock using Crumb Cake ink. Cut it out using Paper Snips.
  8. Adhere the bottom of the bird to the back side of the nest.
  9. Stamp the branch on Basic White cardstock using Crumb Cake ink, then cut it out using Paper Snips. Adhere the branch to the card.
  10. Add the bird and nest to the card using dimensionals.
  11. Stamp the leaves on Basic White cardstock using Granny Apple Green ink, then cut them out using Paper Snips. Add them to the card using Dimensionals.
  12. Stamp the greeting on Basic White cardstock using Tahitian Tide ink. Cut it out using the 1” x 3” Stitched Rectangle Die. Place the die vertically on the right side of the greeting, put it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to make the stitched rectangle shorter. Adhere the greeting to the card.

Butterfly Brilliance Pop Up!

Good morning!  I'm playing along with Global Design Project's Theme challenge of "beautiful bugs"!   (and it's not last minute for a change! haha!)

May club 2

For this card, I embossed a single butterfly from the Butterfly Brilliance Background Stamp (I actually bought two of this stamp, and cut one into single butterflies!).  I stamped with Versamark Ink on Cardstock Vellum, then embossed in white.

May club 2a

I cut the same butterfly out of the Flowering Fields Designer paper -- just love the bright, happy colors in this collection!!   The So Saffron layer was run through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine with the Stitched Greenery Die--love the "paper piercing" from this die!   Adhere that to your Basic White Thick cardstock card base.  Glue the DSP butterfly to your card base.  Then add two small strips cut from a window sheet and folded in two--I tried to get a picture, but it was hard:

May club 2d

The vellum butterfly is adhered to the bottom butterfly using one piece of Tear-n-tape right in the middle of the butterfly.  The strips of window sheet are only adhered to the DSP butterfly, NOT the vellum butterfly.   This card will lay flat to fit into an envelope, but when the receipient pulls it out, the butterfly wings pop up!  It's so pretty IRL!!

This idea came from Jennifer MacGuire -- you can see her video HERE.

He's All That!

WOW!  I really love this new He's All That Suite!  It's a GREAT masculine suite for those of us that have husbands/fathers/sons/etc that don't fish or hunt!  haha!  I predict a lot of masculine cards coming in the near future!  For now, here's one I made for the Freshly Made Sketches this week!

Maysas2

The colors in the He's the Man Specialty Paper are amazing!  This sheet used Soft Succulent and Early Espresso!  So, the card base is Basic White, and then a layer of Early Espresso--which was embossed with the Gingham Embossing Folder.  I think it looks a bit like plaid?!?  The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso and colored with the Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends.  Be very careful when doing this, as the Early Espresso can bleed!

Here's my inspiration:

New In Colors!

Good morning!!  I designed this card for a Stamp-a-Stack happening next weekend--I wanted to show off the new In Colors!  As always, when I can't come up with anything on my own (which is often! haha!), I go to my Challenges Pinterest Board for inspiration!  I decided to use the Global Design Sketch #342!  Here's the card:

Maysas5b

The letters are from the brand new Alphabest Bundle (includes the punch!).  I also added coordinating 2022-24 In Color Matte Decorative Dots!  Each strip is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I loved the way it came out!  So, I tried a couple more cards along the same lines:

Gpc2b

For the above card, I did basically the same card, but adhered the strips to a 1/4 sheet of Basic White Cardstock, then added the letters at different levels for some added interest.  The dots were hand drawn, using the matching Stampin' Blends!

For this one, the strips are adhered to a piece of white cardstock, which was trimmed down so you can't see it!   I used the Charming Sentiments Bundle--using the die to cut out part of the striped panel.  The sentiment was then stamped on the card base.  I used my Stamparatus to make sure the sentiment was placed properly.  The dies cut out the sentiments very closely, so there wasn't alot of room for error!

I thought the right side of the card was a bit too bare, so added the flower from the Sending Smiles Stamp Set in Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party and Tahitian Tide.  And, once again added the In Color Decorative Dots.

Which one is your favorite?

Here's the sketch that inspired me:

Sending Smiles & Perfectly Penciled

I am really enjoying the Sending Smiles Bundle, and for this card, I paired it with the Perfectly Penciled Designer Paper!

IMG_2583--

The designer paper was colored with Stampin' Blends:  Real Red, Old Olive and Pool Party!   Love this bold color combination!

The "Sending" was cut from Basic White for the background, and Real Red for the more detailed image.  Both were backed with adhesive sheets, which make it so much easier to put together!!

The nice thing about this stamp set is the many choices you have!  I chose to make this a birthday card--as I always seem to need one!   The sentiment was stamped using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, and cut out with the coordinating dies (included in the bundle!)   Enjoy!

Here are the supplies used on this card!  Click on any item to be taken to my shop!  (and thank you!)

Happy Mother's Day!

Good morning and Happy Mother's Day!

We made this card way back in March for a Stamp-a-Stack.  So, I apologize because the designer paper is no longer available.

Marsas2

I used the Gold Metallic Paper for the butterfly--thought it tied in nicely with the gold veins in the designer paper!
Marsas2

I stamped the daffodil in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, and then colored with Stampin' Blends (Magenta Madness & Old Olive)  The ribbon is the Gold 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon--so pretty!!

Just a note--this is still available as a bundle--but just until June 30th!
