Emboss Resist with Stencils

Woohoo!!  New stamps!!  Just received a new background stamp, Pretty Medallion, and had to use it right away!!

ERSTENCIL1

I embossed the medallion with clean embossing ink.  I laid my mask over the top, and using blending brushes, added ink.  Sorry, the mask I used is retired and no longer available, but you can use any masks/stencils you have on hand!  Colors used are Sweet  Sorbet, Gorgeous Grape and Tahitian Tide.  The sentiment dies are from the Amazing Thanks Dies.  I cut each out three times, and stacked them using Liquid Glue.  For some bling, I added Glossy Dots--I love these!!

This is another technique we learned at the Spring Card Camp!  So much fun!!

Color Blocking!

Good afternoon!!  It's been a fun weekend so far!  Family in town, pool and BBQ'ing.  All the time remembering those that gave their lives so that we could be free to enjoy our weekends.

I've been in an online class, learning all kinds of fun techniques!  One was color blocking!  We learned several different ways to do this, but this was my favorite:

COLORBLOCK

I used the Dots & Spots Die for the background--love the way the white pops through!!  With this, you actually get 3 cards for 1, as you cut each panel into three!  The trick is to cut the panel, and then cut another 1/8" off.  That leaves a nice gap between the panels.

The leaves were cut from the Forever Flourishing Dies, and the sentiment is from the Sending Smiles Bundle.
COLORBLOCK

Here are close ups of the dies--as you can see below, I cut stack the die cuts.  (cut three, and glue together).  This makes for great texture on your card, and the sentiments really pop off the card!  Love it!
COLORBLOCK

Give it a go--I'd love to see what you do with this technique!

Perfectly Penciled!

Good morning!  I have another fun card made with the Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper!  This time, I colored in the image, then fussy cut!

Thanksb

Colors are Sweet Sorbet, Orchid Oasis, Tahitian Tide, Granny Apple Green & Daffodil Delight.

For the sentiment, I used the Charming Sentiments Bundle--embossed in white on Basic Black cardstock!  I love this look!  And, the coordinating dies cut very close--it looks like I fussy cut the words, too!

Here are all the products used on this card--click on any to be taken to my online store!  Thank you for your support!

Charming Sentiments

I was so excited when I saw this set, Charming Sentiments, in the new catalog!   It's got such great sentiments, and, best of all, dies to cut them out!!  I paired it with the Perfectly Penciled Designer Paper to create this card:

Maysas6a

The leaves are colored with the Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends.  The sentiment  is stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto Granny Apple Green cardstock, and then cut out with the coordinating dies.  Love how closely they cut!!

Emboss Resist

Here's another technique I learned at the Spring Card Camp--emboss resist!

IMG_2658

I embossed the "Happy" using Versamark ink, and clear embossing powder.  Then, I used my new Artistic Mix Decorative Masks to color over the embossing!  Once you've finished with the masks, just use a paper towel to wipe the ink off your embossed areas!  Super fun!  I might try it again with white embossing powder to see if that will "pop" more!

Sending Smiles in a Wreath Pattern!

Good morning!  I warned you--this is one of my favorite sets, so you'll be seeing alot of it!

This card was made using a wreath stamping technique!   It used the Stamparatus--you stamp an image, turn your cardstock, then stamp again.  All the way around, then do it again with another image!!  It was one of the classes in the Spring Card Camp 2022!

Wreath
Wreath I'm still learning how to take photos of my cards.  As you can see, these were taken at the same time, outside in the sunshine, but the colors look different in each.  It's a work in progress!   Speaking of colors, my color palette came from the Just Us Girls Challenge this week:

I thought they were very pretty colors, and worked well with my images!
