CARD: Many Messages

MANYMESSAGES

Measurements:

  • Night of Navy- 4 ¼” x 11” and 2 ½” x 2 ½”
  • Bermuda Bay- 4” x 5 ¼” and     ½” x 2 ½” strip
  • Coastal Cabana- 2 strips @ ½” x 2 ½”
  • Pool Party- 2 strips @ ½” x 2 ½”
  • Basic White- approx. 6 ¼” x 5”
  • DSP: True Love DSP- 3 7/8” x 5 1/8”

Instructions:

    1. Fold the Night of Navy card base in half at 5 ½” and attach the Bermuda Bay 4” x 5 ¼” layer with Stampin’ SEAL.
    2. Next, attach the True Love DSP layer to the card front with Stampin’ SEAL.
    3. Create the ombre panel. Take the square Night of Navy cardstock (2 ½” x 2 ½”) and cover it with Stampin’ SEAL adhesive. Start at the top of the square and layer with the Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, and one strip of Bermuda Bay cardstock. Then, attach that panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    4. For the sentiment we are using the Stamparatus. Line your Basic White cardstock and stamp in the Stamparatus and stamp using Night of Navy ink. You will be making several sentiments at once that you can use later. Also, you can use any of the sentiments on this card. There are lots to choose from. After you stamp then die-cut the sentiments using the matching Messages Die.
    5. Make a faux bow on the ombre square by laying your twine in the shape of a bow and using a glue dot to keep it down. I shared a picture of this so you can see what is under the sentiment. I do this to keep the bulk of the card down. If you tie a bow there will be a big lump!
    6. Add a Stampin’ Dimensional under your sentiment. I added one on the top and the bottom of the sentiment away from the twine then attach to the card. Use a Mini Glue Dot to attach one heart from the stamp set.
    7. Finally, add some Blue Adhesive Backed Gems to finish off your beautiful card.

Clean & Simple for Two Challenges!

Good afternoon!  I was able to take an hour this afternoon and "work" in my stamp room!  (I love this job!!)  I made this card for two challenges:  the Paper Players and Color Hues:

Ppthespot

I am, by nature, a simple stamper.  BUT, I do like to use lots of designer paper, etc.  So leaving so much white space is much harder for me!  I am happy with the way it turned out!  Do you have a birthday coming up--perhaps you'd like to receive this card?  Leave me a comment!!

Supplies used:

CARD: Hey Birthday Chick

BIRTHDAYCHICK

Measurements

  • Seaside Spray: 5 ½” x 8 ½”
  • Basic Black: 5 ¼” x 4”
  • Playing With Patterns Designer Series Paper (DSP): 1 ½” x 3 ¾”
  • Basic White: 5 ¼” x 4”, 5” x 3 ¾”, scraps for fence & chicken dies
  • Sahara Sand: scrap for feed bag die
  • Misty Moonlight/Silver Twine from Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo: 8”

Instructions:

  1. Fold the Seaside Spray card base in half and use bone folder to flatten the fold.
  2. Swirl the Blending Brush on the Seaside Spray ink pad, blot on scrap paper and apply color to the center oval area of the 5” x 3 ¾” piece of Basic White cardstock using a soft swirling motion. Apply more or less ink and pressure to get a look you like.  Adhere the designer series paper strip to the bottom of this piece.  Adhere this to the Basic Black card stock and then adhere this piece to the card front.
  3. Die cut 2 pieces of the fence from scraps of Basic White card stock. Adhere to card front just above the designer series paper, trimming off excess fence.
  4. Stamp the chicken & balloon image and the party chick using black ink on scraps of Basic White card stock. Color with Stampin’ Blends markers and die cut the shapes with the Birthday Chick dies. Use the Color Lifter Blends marker to lighten the face, wings and tail.  Adhere to card front using dimensionals.
  5. Die cut a “Happy Birthday” sentiment from scraps of Basic Black and Seaside Spray card stock. Adhere the Basic Black sentiment over the Seaside Spray sentiment so that only a slight amount of Seaside Spray is visible. Adhere this piece to the card front using small slivers of dimensionals.
  6. Die cut the feed bag from a scrap of Sahara Sand card stock, accent the details with an Ivory Blends marker and adhere to card front with a dimensional.
  7. Make a bow from the Misty Moonlight/Silver bakers twine and adhere to balloon tie with a glue dot.
  8. Stamp remaining piece of Basic White as desired and adhere to inside of card.
