CARD: Everything Festive

Happy Halloween!!  

This card uses a great set called "Everything Festive" -- it has Halloween, Valentine's, Christmas and just Winter!  Very versatile!  I paired the Halloween sentiment with the Monster Bash Designer Paper for a simple, but super cute card!

Measurements:

• Whisper White Thick:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4";  2 7/8" x 2"
• Pumpkin Pie:  5 1/4" x 4";  2 3/4" x 1 7/8"
• DSP:  5 1/8" x 3 7/8"

Directions:

1. Stamp sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
2. Cut out small spider using your die cut machine and the Wicked Dies. I used the Black Foil Sheets (just a very small scrap!)
3. Assemble your card as shown.  I used the new Black Dimensionals to adhere the spider!

CARD: Gather Together

Here's another card using the Gather Together Suite.  This one uses just a sentiment, paired with the Come to Gather Designer Paper.

This was a "CASE" of Lynn's card -- you can see her card HERE. 

Measurements:

• Early Espresso:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
• DSP:  5 1/4" x 4";  4" x 3"
• Very Vanilla:  4 1/4" x 3 1/4";  Scrap for sentiment
• Pretty Peacock:  scrap for oval

Directions:

1. Stamp your sentiment in Early Espresso ink on scrap of Very Vanilla.  Cut out using the Layering Ovals Dies and die cut machine.
2. Cut out scalloped oval in Pretty Peacock.  Adhere sentiment to this oval.  Set aside.
3. Using Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends, color in the pumpkins on your designer paper.
4. Assemble your card!

CARD: Gather Together

Good morning, and Happy Monday!  This week, I'm highlighting the cards we made at my October Stamp Club!  Laurie requested the technique of inking the embossing folder, so here's what I came up with:

Measurements: 

• Soft Suede: 8 ½” x 5 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”
• Bermuda Bay: 5 3/8” x 4 1/8”;  2 ½” x 4 ¼” (for leaves)
• Very Vanilla: 5 ¼” x 4”;  2 ½” x 4 ¼” (for leaf and sentiment)   

Instructions:

1. Stamp large leaf in Soft Suede Ink on small piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock. Color in the leaf with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen – this will pull in color, and create a light brown leaf. 
2. Stamp sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink on the same piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock.
3. Using your die cut machine, cut out Leaf using the Gathered Leaves Dies. Also cut out a large leaf and smaller leaf from the small piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock.
4. Cut out your sentiment using the Stitched Rectangle Dies.
5. For the embossing: Using your sponge brayer, add Soft Suede ink to the “flat” side of the embossing folder (the side with the SU! Logo).  Try not to get ink into the “debossed” part.  Add your Very Vanilla Cardstock – I find it’s easier to place your cardstock on the side without ink, align it, then close the folder.  Run through the die cut machine. 
6. Assemble you card as shown in the picture. The leaves are adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
7. For the Clear Droplets—color them with Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends, then adhere to card.

 

CARD: To a Wild Rose

Measurements: 

• Rococo Rose: 2” x 5-1/2”
• Very Vanilla: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, 1-3/4” x 5-1/2”, scrap

Instructions:

• Stamp outline flower onto 1-3/4” x 5-1/2” strip of Very Vanilla – three times with Sahara Sand, and once with Rococo Rose as per sample
• Adhere stamped strip onto Rococo Rose strip
• Die cut scrap Very Vanilla cardstock with lattice/flower die
• Fold remaining piece of Very Vanilla cardstock in half to create cardbase, unfold before stamping
• Stamp “Blessed” at top left of cardfront and “and grateful” at bottom right of cardfront in Rococo Rose
• Adhere die cut strip onto cardfront under “Blessed”
• Adhere the stamped strip onto the cardfront with Stampin’ Dimensionals

CARD: Gather Together Bundle

Measurements: 

• Thick Very Vanilla: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, 3” x 3”, 2 1/4” x 3/8”
• Cajun Craze: 3 1/2” x 4 1/2”
• Designer Paper: 4” x 3”, 4” x 3/4”

Instructions:

1. Attach the plaid designer paper to the leaf designer paper, slightly off center so that the right end extends over the edge.
2. Wrap the Braided Linen Trim around the leaf designer paper and tie it in a knot.
3. Attach these layers to the Cajun Craze cardstock using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
4. Attach these layers to the card base.
5. Using Memento Black ink, stamp the leaf onto the square of Very Vanilla cardstock.
6. Use a die cutting machine to cut out the image using the coordinating die.
7. Using an Aqua Painter, color the leaf using ink from the lid of the Cajun Craze ink pad.
8. Let the leaf image dry.
9. Using Cajun Craze ink, stamp the splatter image over the leaf.
10. Attach the leaf to the card.

CARD: Gather Together

Measurements:  

• Merry Merlot CS: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored in half at 5-1/2”;           4” x 5-1/4”
• Very Vanilla CS: 4” x 5-1/4”
• Copper Foil Sheet: 4-1/4” x 5-1/2”; 3” x 4-1/4”
• DSP:                       2-7/8” x 4-1/8”                

Instructions:

1. Burnish the fold in the card base using a Bone Folder.
2. Adhere the larger Copper Foil piece onto the front of the card base using Snail.
3. Stamp the large leaf in Copper ink around the edges of the 4” x 5-1/4” Merry Merlot CS layer, and heat emboss with Clear powder.
4. Adhere the layer onto the larger Copper Foil using Snail.
5. Adhere the DSP layer onto the smaller Copper Foil piece using Snail.
6. Apply a piece of Copper washi tape (from the Tags & More Accessory Kit) onto the DSP and wrap the ends around to the back of the Copper Foil.
7. Adhere the Copper Foil/DSP onto the Merry Merlot CS layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
8. Powder a wood element liberally using an Embossing Buddy.
9. Stamp the sentiment in Copper ink onto the element, then heat emboss with copper powder.
10. Tie a piece of Cajun Craze linen thread (from the combo pack) through the hole in the wood element and tie in a bow.
11. Adhere the element onto the DSP layer using Tear & Tape.
12. Glue the Very Vanilla CS onto the inside of the card base.

CARD: Boo to You

Measurements: 

• Pumpkin Pie: 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, folded in half for card base
• Old Olive: 5-1/4” x 4”
• Whisper White: 5” x 3-3/4” (2); scraps

Instructions:          

1. Stamp werewolf and zombie on 5” x 3-3/4” piece of white cardstock. Stamp monster on scrap.  Color images as shown.
2. Adhere stamped piece to Old Olive and then to card base. Fussy-cut monster and attach with Dimensionals.  Add Googly eyes to all characters.
3. Stamp “Boo to You!” on scrap and punch with 1” circle. Attach with a Dimensional.
4. If desired, stamp “Just a Little Creepy” and monster on second piece of white cardstock, color, and adhere to inside.
