CARD: Pocketful of Sunshine

Measurements:  

• Blueberry Bushel: 5 ½” x 8 ½”                       
• Crushed Curry: 1” x 4 1/2”
• Whisper White: 4” x 5 1/4"; 3 ½”x 3 ½”
• Real Red:                   4” x 1 ½”            

Instructions:

1. Stamp the sunglasses, the “Yay” and the “tab” over the “Yay” using Blueberry Bushel stamp pad on the Real Red cardstock.
2. Cut out the sunglasses and the “tab” using the matching framelits.
3. Stamp the pocket on the 3 ½”x 3 ½” Whisper White cardstock using Blueberry Bushel stamp pad. Stamp the “pocket detail stamp” 2 times on the pocket.
4. Stamp the “pocketful of sunshine” stamp in Crushed Curry on the pocket.
5. Cut out pocket using the matching framelit. Trim off the flaps.
6. Stamp the “sun” using the partial circle stamp up in the upper right hand corner.
7. Sponge in Crushed Curry ink to fill in the “sun”.
8. Punch the Crushed Curry card stock using the Banner Triple punch.
9. Adhere the “tab” to the back of the pocket using the fine tip glue pen.
10. Adhere the Crushed Curry banner to the back of the “pocket” using the SNAIL adhesive.
11. Adhere the sunglasses to the front of the pocket using Stampin Dimensionals.
12. Adhere Whisper White card stock with the sun to the front of the Blueberry Bushel card using SNAIL adhesive.
13. Adhere the assembled “pocket” to the front of the card using Stampin Dimensionals.

CARD: Touches of Texture

Measurements:  

• Whisper White (Thick): 5 1/2” x 8 1/2"
• Grapefruit Grove:            4” x 5 1/4”
• Whisper White:            3 3/4" x 5”
• Shimmery White:               3” x 3”
• Sahara Sand: 1” x 4”                  

Instructions:

1. Score Whisper White (Thick) cardstock at 5 1/2"; fold for card base.
2. Stamp lace border image around edge of Grapefruit Grove cardstock with Grapefruit Grove ink. Adhere to card base.
3. Spritz Whisper White panel with water using Stampin’ Spritzer; emboss with Pinewood Planks embossing folder. Adhere to card base with Tear & Tape.
4. Stamp flower image on Shimmery White cardstock with Memento ink. Die-cut with largest circle die.  Use Blender Pen to watercolor with Granny Apple Green and Grapefruit Grove ink.  Ink spatter image with Sahara Sand ink; stamp off once onto grid paper and stamp onto die cut.  Repeat until die-cut is covered.
5. Adhere 12” of ribbon behind die-cut; adhere to card front with Dimensionals.
6. Stamp sentiment on Sahara Sand cardstock with Sahara Sand ink; die-cut and adhere to card front with Dimensionals.

CARD: Incredible Like You

Measurements:  

• Gray Granite: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”               
• Calypso Coral: 5 1/4” x 4”         scrap for die cut
• Whisper White: 5 1/8” x 3 7/8”   scrap for die cut                                     

Instructions:

1. Stamp parallel lines on the white cardstock. Turn paper and stamp perpendicular lines.
2. Die cut white and Calypso Coral scraps.
3. Stamp flowers, leaves and accents on the white die cut.
4. Layer all cardstock using dimensionals under the coral cardstock pieces.
5. Add ribbon around the coral base. (It will lace through the top layers)
6. Color rhinestones with Stampin’ Blend. Be very careful that you don’t damage the tip of your marker. Place rhinestones on your card as desired.

CARD: Humming Along

Measurements:

• Whisper White: 4-1/4”x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”; 1-1/2” x 3-1/2”; 3” x 4” (for hummingbird)
• Mossy Meadow:  1-3/8” x  3-3/8”

Instructions

1. Fold Whisper White in half to create card base, burnish along score line.
2. Use Mossy Meadow ink to add splotches on card front (as shown in picture), and stamp greeting on small white rectangle.
3. Use Big Shot and Rectangle Stitched Framelit to cut around greeting.
4. Using Tuxedo Black Memento ink stamp hummingbird on 3x4 white.
5. Color hummingbird as shown in photo.
6. Use Big Shot and hummingbird framelit to cut out.
7. Adhere the greeting to the Mossy Meadow rectangle with Snail Adhesive, and adhere to card front.
8. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, attach hummingbird to card.

CARD: Lovely As A Tree

We'll miss this one!!!

Measurements: 

• Whisper White Thick: 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, folded in half for card base, 4” x 5 1/4” for card layer, and a scrap for sentiment
• Basic Black: Scrap for scallop oval

Instructions:          

1. Stamp the tree image onto the 4” x 5 1/4” piece of Whisper White card stock. Stamp the image on a scrap piece of paper to make a mask, cutting along the bottom of the trees.
2. Attach the mask to the bottom of the trees. Using the ink colors sponge color over the mask and onto the card stock. Start with Daffodil and then add in Mango and a little bit of Flamingo.
3. Attach a 6” piece of ribbon to the card
4. Stamp sentiment with Stazon ink and but out with Layering Ovals.
5. Cut a Basic Black Scallop oval. Attach the sentiment piece to the scalloped piece
6. Attach to card layer to the base.
7. Add Wink of Stella to the trees and ground.

 

CARD: Beach Happy

Good morning!  For the rest of May, I'd like to highlight some of the great stamp sets that we are saying goodbye to!  Order these now through the end of May!  This first set, Beach Happy, can be fund in the Occasions catalog, page 37.

Measurements:  

• Granny Apple Green: Base - 4¼” x 11”, scored at 5½” and 2¾”;
• Pineapple Punch: 4” x 5¼”; 2½” x 4”
• Coastal Cabana: 3¼” x 4½” (2)
• Whisper White: 1” x 4½”; 3” x 4¼”; scrap
• Tropical Escape: 2¼” x 3¾”; 3¾” x 5”

Instructions:

1. Fold Granny Apple Green card base in half on score line and then fold the top back to the fold line to create a Z-fold card.
2. Adhere small Pineapple Punch and Tropical Escape pieces to the left side of the card base.
3. Adhere the large Pineapple Punch and Tropical Escape pieces to the left side of the card base.
4. Stamp “Thanks” with Coastal Cabana on Whisper White strip.
5. Adhere Coastal Cabana and stamped strip to the right side of the card base.
6. Adhere the remaining Coastal Cabana to the left side of the card base – covering the Coastal Cabana underneath.
7. Stamp the beach scene on Whisper White:
   1. Stamp the tree leaves with Granny Apple Green.
   2. Stamp the chair/umbrella with Soft Suede.
   3. Stamp the tree trunk with Soft Suede.
   4. Stamp the inside of the umbrella with Pineapple Punch.
   5. Stamp the inside of the chair with Coastal Cabana.
   6. Stamp the umbrella & beach chair on post-it notes; cut out.
8. Color/Sponge the beach scene:
   1. Color the chair frame and tree trunk with Crumb Cake Blend.
   2. Place cut post-it note images over umbrella and beach chair.
   3. Place plain post-it notes across to mask off the “water”; sponge with Coastal Cabana. Remove post-it and blend the edges slightly on the bottom.
   4. Sponge the “sand” with Sahara Sand and Crumb Cake.
   5. Sponge the “sun” with Pineapple Punch.
   6. Sponge the “sky” with Balmy Blue.
9. Adhere to the front of the card
10. Stamp & Color accessories on scrap Whisper White:
    1. Stamp hat & beach bag with Soft Suede.
    2. Stamp inside of basket with Crumb Cake.
    3. Color basket handles with Mango Melody Blends and trim with Coastal Cabana marker.
    4. Color hat with Mango Melody Blends and trim with Coastal Cabana marker.
11. Cut accessories and adhere to card with mini dimensionals.
