February 2019

TECHNIQUE: Stained Glass Glitter

When I was at the Stampin' Up! Onstage last November, someone showed this awesome technique!  Then, I received a beautiful card using the same technique (seems I was the last to know about it!).  It's so pretty, but I was intimidated -- it looked difficult!  But, I wanted to impress my stamp club ladies, so I went on the search for directions!  WOW -- it's soooooo easy!!

A quick rundown:  you stamp on a window sheet with Stazon Ink.  Then color in with Stampin' Blends.  Now, cut it out using the framelits -- and cut the same image out of Silver Glimmer Paper.  Now, just adhere the the colored window sheet over the glimmer paper.  I used Mini glue dots -- if you're careful about where you place them, you can't see them at all!!  That's it!!  The hardest part of this card is waiting for the ink to dry on the window sheet! haha!

Here is a list of all the fun stuff I used on this card:

CARD: Forever Lovely

Here's a beautiful card we made at my Stamp Club meeting in February!  I also made this for my husband for Valentine's Day!  It pairs the Forever Lovely Stamp Set and coordinating designer Paper, All My Love.

I used the Stamparatus to stamp the two images -- makes it so much easier to get it lined up perfectly!

Here are all the fun supplies I used:

CARD: Birthday Cheer

Good morning!!  Here's a fun card!  I love the foil sheets embossed -- so striking!!  The images in this set are very bold -- which makes it easy to color in or emboss!

This card also meets the challenge at Just Add Ink!  I follow a lot of challenge sites -- I use them to help me design cards for my clubs and classes!  It's always nice to have a starting point!
