My clubs met last weekend -- always so much fun!  I was finally able to take pictures of all the cards we made!  This first one highlights the fun Petal Passion Designer Paper from the Occasions catalog.  Only available through May 31st!!

We used Real Red and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers for the coloring -- love these colors together!!  Here are all the other supplies used:

 

Flying Home

Measurements: 

• Pear Pizzazz Card Stock:  3-3/4” x 5”; 11” x 4-1/4” (card base)
• Whisper White Card Stock: 3-3/4” x 2-1/4”; 5 1/2” x 3/8” (inside card)
• Pool Party Card Stock:  2-1/4” x 1/2” (banner)
• White Ribbon: 15”

Instructions:

1. Stamp bird nest on left side of white card stock with Memento Ink. Color using Stampin’ Blends.
2. Stamp greeting on right side of Pool Party banner in Memento Black, trim left end and adhere to top right edge of colored bird nest.
3. Emboss leafy layer on smaller Pear Pizzazz card stock using Petal Burst embossing folder and Big Shot.
4. Fold long Pear Pizzazz card in half to create a top-fold card.
5. Adhere bird nest layer to leafy layer. Tie ribbon around the bottom edge of white card stock.
6. Attach front of card to base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
7. Stamp inside greeting on large white card stock and adhere inside card (optional: add a 3/4” x 4” embossed leaf strip along the bottom edge of white card stock inside greeting card)
   

Petal Passion Designer Paper

Sometimes, I make a card that I just really like!  So, I copy myself! :-)  I made this card for a sketch challenge a while back:

I loved the simple layout, and the way it really highlighted the designer paper!  So, I made another, but using the Petal Passion Designer Paper this time:

The black and white background really makes the glimmer paper "pop"!  The sentiment is a thinlit from this year's Sale-a-bration, but don't worry -- it will be back in June with the new catalog!!

Also, the Myths & Magic 6x6 Glimmer Paper is half price right now!!!  GREAT deal!

Measurements:  

• Very Vanilla: 4 ¼” x 11”, 3” x 4 1/4”
• GrapeFruit Grove: 3 1/8” x 4 3/8”

Instructions:

1. Taking the smaller of the two stamps that resemble a circle, randomly stamp on the card base to resemble Polka Dots in Grapefruit Grove.
2. Stamp the Flower Image and the Thank You in Black Memento
3. Fill in the color for the flowers using the same stamp as you used for the background using Grapefruit Grove (you may have to stamp twice to fill in).
4. Add a little Splatter using Grapefruit Grove from the Birthday Backgrounds Set
5. Cut five lengths of Linen Thread and tie into a bow. Secure to flower stems using a glue dot.
6. Add two diamonds to either side of the Sentiment.
