Yep!  Three sketch challenges in ONE week!  Amazing, huh?!!  This card was created using the sketch at Fab Friday:

  • Berry Burst: 4 ½” x 2 ¾”
  • Lemon Lime Twist: 4 ¼” x 2”
  • DSP: 4 ¼” x 5”

  1. Stamp “Happy” using Memento ink. Let dry a few seconds.
  2. Color in using markers. I used:  Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Calypso Coral, Soft Sky and Emerald Envy.
  3. Stamp “birthday to you” under the Happy in Berry Burst Ink.
  4. Using the Banner Triple Punch, cut a banner tail in your Lemon Lime Strip.
  5. Assemble your card as shown. The sentiment piece is adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  6. Add sequins for a little extra pop!

Here's the sketch -- for your own inspiration!

Daisy Delight for Case This Sketch!

I've been on a roll this weekend!  Here's a card I made using the sketch challenge from Case This Sketch:

I stamped the daisies with Calypso Coral Ink, and then colored them with the Daffodil Delight Light Stampin' Blend.  I was trying to get the Calypso Coral ink to blend -- trying to imitate the paper behind.  It didn't happen!  I'll try just watercoloring next time!

Here's the sketch:

A Beautiful Day for Inkspire Me!

There's a great sketch over at Inkspire Me! today!  I love working with sketches -- helps the creativity flow!  Here's what I came up with, using the Beautiful Day stamp set:

  • Whisper White: 4 ¼” x 11”, scored at  5 ½”;  4” x ¾” strip for sentiment
  • Petal Passion: 4” x 5 ¼”
  • Old Olive: 3 ¼” x 3 ¼”
  • Watercolor Paper: 3 ½” x 3 ½”

  1. Stamp flower onto Watercolor Paper. Hold down for a few seconds to insure a good image.
  2. Using the lids of your Rose Red and Old Olive ink pads, color with your aquapainter. Color the center with Crushed Curry marker.
  3. Cut out using Paper Snips.
  4. Cut out a circle of Old Olive cardstock using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and Big Shot.
  5. Stamp sentiment on strip of whisper white, and cut banner tails on each side.
  6. Assemble card as shown. Attached the sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  7. Add 3 (or more!) medium rhinestones to center of card, and a strip of rhinestones below the sentiment.

Oh, I almost forgot--here's the sketch!

This card also uses Black and White Stripes, which is the challenge over at Just us Girls:

And here are the supplies I used on today's card:

Bird Banter Birthday!

I am so sad that this set won't be around after May 31!  I'll be using it alot until then -- you've been warned!  Ha!  They're just so cute!  This card base is from the Tutti Frutti Bases -- they aren't available anymore, but you could easily substitute So Saffron cardstock!

  • Whisper White: 3 1/8” x 2 7/8”; 1 ½” x 1 ½”
  • Daffodil Delight: 2 ½” x 1”
  • Ribbon: 15”

  1. Stamp the bird image on the larger piece of Whisper White cardstock, using Memento Black ink.
  2. Stamp the full balloon on the smaller piece of Whisper White cardstock, using Memento Black ink.
  3. Stamp the bird image again on a Post-it note and cut it out.
  4. Attach the cut out Post-it note to the bird.
  5. Stamp the branch image, going over top of the masked bird image.
  6. Stamp the Balloon image going over top of the masked bird image. Some of this image will not be on the page.
  7. Peel of the mask.
