Project Sheet Wednesday -- Spooky Fun Bundle

Measurements:  

• Whisper White – 4-1/4” x 11”
• Basic Gray – 5-1/4” x 4”
• Halloween Night Specialty Paper – 5-1/8” x 3-7/8”
• Basic Black – 4-1/4” x 2-3/4”
• Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper – 3” x 3-1/8”
• Smokey Slate Cardstock – 1-5/8” x 1”
• Pumpkin Pie Cardstock – scrap piece for words

Instructions:

1. Score the Whisper White card base at 5 ½” and fold in half.
2. Ink up the solid Witch from the Spooky Fun stamp set with Archival Basic Black ink, stamp onto the Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper, and cover with Clear Embossing Powder. Tap off excess powder and set using the Heat Tool on high making sure to move the heat tool to the next area as the powder melts. NOTE:  if you overheat the embossing powder, it will eventually melt into the paper and will not give you the shine and raised texture of the image. Let cool.
3. Adhere the Designer Paper to the Basic Gray cardstock piece; and add to the front of the cardbase.
4. Die cut the Spooky tree from the Basic Black cardstock piece using the Halloween Scenes Edgelits Die. Make sure to position the die close to the top edge so that your ground level has some height.  Only add liquid glue to the ground portion of the die and add to the bottom of the matted layer on the card. NOTE:  Not adding glue to the tree allows for it to pop up on its own and reflect a “spooky” shadow effect.
5. Tie some Pumpkin Pie/Basic Black Baker’s Twine around the tree and finish with a bow.
6. Die cut a Swirly Scribbles Thinlit from the Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper and center it around the embossed Witch; adhering with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
7. Stamp the tombstones image from the Spooky Fun stamp set onto the Smokey Slate cardstock with Archival Basic Gray ink. Die cut with the coordinating framelit from the Halloween Scenes Edgelits Dies.  Add to the Spooky tree with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
8. Stamp the sentiment with Archival Basic Gray ink onto a scrap piece of Pumpkin Pie. Use Paper Snips to cut the sentiment into blocks and position onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

WWYS #80 Swirly Bird

Welcome to another week of What Will You Stamp?! This week, we were challenged to use the Swirly Bird stamp set. This was one of the first sets that caught my eye.....but, I haven't purchased it yet!!  Always seems to be another set that I need for a class or worksop!  But, Maria was nice enough to stamp some images for me, so here's my creation!!

Jar of Haunts

I love how Stampin' Up! gives us coordinating framelits and stamp sets!  This fun set from the Holiday Catalog, Jar of Haunts, coordinates with the framelits, Everyday Jars, in the Main Catalog!!  More than one use for something is always good, right?  :-)

Measurements:

• Whisper white Card Base: 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” (fold in half)
• Halloween Night DSP: 5-1/2” x 4-1/4”
• Scrap: Whisper White & DSP

Instructions:

1. Stamp images on whsper white card stock scrap (jar in smokey slate, words and candy corn in black).
2. Cut out using the Jar framelits on the Big Shot.
3. Cut DSP circle using the Layering circles framelits.
4. Attach DSP to the front of the card base using Snail adhesive.
5. Punch top right corner with the corner punch.
6. Attach the circle and jar layers with dimensionals.
7. Tie a bow and attach ribbon.

Now onto today's project featuring one of my favorite sets from the Holiday Catalog: Totally Trees!!

Measurements: 

• Very Vanilla: 4 1/4” x 11”, 4” x 5 1/4”, 2 1/2” x 2 1/2”
• Bermuda Bay: 3” x 3”, scrap piece
• Emerald Envy: 3” x 3”
• Early Espresso: 2 3/4” x 2 3/4”
• Moroccan Designer Series Paper: 2” x 4”, 1/2” x 4”            

Instructions:

1. Texture Emboss the Very Vanilla cardstock (4” x 5 1/4”) using the Petal Burst embossing folder. Attach to the Very Vanilla cardstock base (4 1/4” x 11) using dimensionals. 
2. Attach Moroccan Designer Series Paper (2” x 4”) to the bottom of the Very Vanilla. Attach Moroccan Designer Series Paper (1/2” x 4”) to the top of the last piece. 
3. Stamp the palm tree using Early Espresso ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock (3” x 3”). Ink palm leaves image first with Bermuda Bay ink, then tapping gently with Emerald Envy ink then stamp over palm tree image.  Die cut image using Layering Squares Framelits (2 3/8” x 2 3/8” framelit). 
4. Die cut Early Espresso cardstock using a scallop square from Layering Squares Framelits to fit Very Vanilla square. Attach stamped image using dimensionals. 
5. Die cut Bermuda Bay and Emerald Envy cardstock using two squares stacked inside each other to create a thin square die cut. Attach both squares to the card front slightly off set using dimensionals.  Wrap a piece of Linen Thread a couple of times secure with a dimensional. 
6. Attach stamped image over Linen Thread.
7. Stamp the greeting using Early Espresso ink onto Bermuda Bay cardstock scrap pieces. Trim around greetings closely.  Attach near palm tree image using Fast Fuse.
