Nacho Average Challenge #179

Good morning!  It's time for another fun challenge from the Nachos!!  We have a color challenge for you today:

Here's my card, using the Totally Trees Stamp Set!

This is such a fun set -- there are several different tree bases, along with the coordinating "shadow" stamps.  I can see a lot of uses for this one!!

WWYS #79 In the Meadow

Welcome to another week of What Will You Stamp?! This week, we were challenged to use the In the Meadow stamp set.  This is such a pretty set!   I thought of the idea for this card as soon as I looked at the set!  I love how the watercoloring turned out!

Love and Affection

So, I was cleaning up my picture files on my computer, and I found this lovely card:

I cased it from someone, but I can't find the orginial now. (sorry to the creator!).   I hope you haven't seen this before -- I might have already posted it once! haha!!  Oh well.........hope you enjoy it a second time!


Project Sheet Wednesday -- Designer Tin of Cards

Love the stamp sets that coordinate with our kits!!  This set, Designer Tin of Cards, goes with our new Tin of Cards Project Kit!  But, as you can see with this card, you can use it without the kit!!

Here's how:

Measurements:  

  • Festive Birthday Designer Paper: 1 ¾” X 5 ½”
  • Crushed Curry:                         ¼” x 5 ½”                               
  • Tempting Turquoise: 4 ¼” X 11”
  • Scrap of Pumpkin Pie to cut out scallop circle

Instructions:

  1. Stamp sentiment on Whisper White card stock in Tempting Turquoise ink and punch out using the 2” circle punch. Stamp 3 flowers in Crushed Curry randomly around the sentiment.
  2. Cut out a scallop circle (slightly larger than 2” circle piece you just punched) using the Layering Circles Framelits and the Big Shot.
  3. Adhere sentiment onto the scallop circle and set aside.
  4. Adhere small Crushed Curry strip to the right side of the Festive Birthday piece.
  5. Adhere the doily to the back of the Festive Birthday piece, leaving plenty of the doily showing.
  6. Adhere the Festive Birthday piece to the front, left of the Tempting Turquoise card base.
  7. Adhere the sentiment piece on the front using Dimensionals.

Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek

I can't wait until you all see the new Holiday Catalog -- it's full of beautiful stamps, paper and ideas!!  If you need one, please let me know!  You can pick one up anytime!!!  

The Star of Light Bundle is one of my favorites -- it's gorgeous!!  Some beautiful images, along with elegant sentiments!  It's a must-have!  Here's a fun card using this bundle:

Simple and elegant!  (and sparkly!!!)  Here's how it's done:

Measurements:  

  • Smokey Slate:   8 1/2” x 5 1/2”            
  • Basic Black:   5 1/4” x 4” ; 3 ¼” x 3 ¾”
  • Whisper White:   5 1/8” x 3 7/8”; 3 1/8” x 3 5/8” scraps
  • Silver Glimmer:   3 ½” x 4”  scraps
  • Red Glimmer: Scraps
  • Silver Foil: Scraps          

Instructions:

  1. Using Big Shot and Starlight Thinlets, Cut out the star frame with silver Foil Sheets. Next cut out the detailed star with Silver Glimmer Paper.  Also cut out the smallest star with Silver Glimmer and the next one from the red Glimmer scrap.
  2. Layer all your layers for your card in the following order. Card base, Basic Black, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer, Basic Black and Whisper white.
  3. Adhere your Foil Star using dimensionals, Adhere the intricate star with a few glue dots. Adhere your red glimmer with a dimensional and the last and smallest star with a glue dot.
  4. Using Smokey Slate ink, stamp the radiation details. Using Basic Black, stamp your Merry Christmas.
  5. Tie a bow using the silver 1/8” Ribbon and adhere using a glue dot.

 


Project Sheet Wednesday -- You're Sublime

Measurements:

  • Mint Macaron – 8 ¼” x 5 ¾”
  • Mint Macaron DSP – 2” x 5 ¾”
  • Shimmery White – 3 ¼” x 3 ¼” (2)

 Instructions:

  1. Score and burnish fold on Mint Macaroon base card.
  2. Cut Doily in half and adhere to opposite sides of Mint Macaroon DSP piece with Snail Adhesive. Attach this piece to your card base with Snail Adhesive.
  3. Stamp Loads of thanks stamp twice – on each piece of Shimmery White in Basic Black Archival Ink. 
  4. Cut one full image out with the Big Shot and the Layering Circles – using the circle that measures 2 5/8”. Adhere in center of Doily with Snail Adhesive
  5. Color your ‘wheelbarrow of flowers’ with Stampin Write Markers and Blender Pens.  Use your Marker where you want the color to be more intense and then spread/blend with your blender pen. Color as follows …
    • Back Left Flower – Center Pumpkin Pie, Petals So Saffron
    • Heart in Center – Real Red
    • Back Center – Wisteria Wonder
    • Right – Rose Red Petals, Crushed Curry Center
    • Front Left – Petals Peekaboo Peach, Rose Red Center
    • Front Center – Sweet SugarPlum Petals, Crushed Curry Center
    • Leaves – Old Olive
    • Wheelbarrow Base & handle – Pool Party
    • Wheelbarrow Frame & wheel – Basic Black
    • Ground – Sahara Sand
  6. Punch out with 2” Circle Punch once you are done colouring and adhere to larger circle with Dimensionals.
  7. Tie Whisper White Baker’s Twine in a bow and place on panel below circles with Glue Dot.

Nacho Average Challenge #178

Good morning!!  The Nachos have a great sketch for you today!!  I hope you'll play along with us!!!  I used some of the fun designer paper featured in the NEW Holiday Catalog for my card:

I cut out one of the Gingerbread Houses from the designer paper!!  No stamping! haha!!  I did stamp the "merry" from the Holly Jolly Greetings, but the rest of the card is just designer paper and cardstock!!
