Project Sheet Wednesday --

Swirlybird4

Measurements:

  • Crumb Cake – 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”
  • Dapper Denim – 4-3/4” x 3-1/2”
  • Whisper White – 4-5/8” x 3-3/8”
  • Emerald Envy 3/8” Ruched Ribbon – 14”

Instructions:

  1. Start by scoring your Crumb Cake card base at 4 ¼”, fold and set aside.
  2. Working with the Whisper White layer, ink up the three ‘swirly’ images from the Swirly Bird set using VersaMark ink and randomly stamp them over most of the surface. Reink the images after stamping each time.  Leave the bottom right corner free from stamping.
  3. Cover the entire surface with Clear Stampin’ Embossing Powder. Shake off excess powder. Use Heat Tool to set embossing powder...be sure to move the heat tool to next area as the powder melts. NOTE:  if you overheat the embossing powder, it will eventually melt into the paper and will not give you the shine and raised texture of the images.

What Will You Stamp? #70 - Birthday Fiesta

Welcome to another week of What Will You Stamp?! This week, we were challenged to use the Birthday Fiesta stamp set. I absolutely LOVE this set!  It's just so much fun!  And, the colors of the coordinating designer paper, Festive Birthday, are my favorites -- BRIGHTS!  The llama is probably my favorite image in the set, but I decided to try and use some of the other images for this card!  I chose the cactus -- he's cute, too!!!

I can't wait to see what you all come up with!!!  Go have some fun, then come back and share it with us!!

Two Challenges in One!!

So, I was playing around yesterday morning (avoiding housework!!), and made this card for 2 different challenges: Fab Friday #90 and Case this Sketch #178.  Just a side note, I misread the red for Fab Friday -- I thought it said Rose, so that's what I used!  I should really wear my glasses!!

I've also been playing around with PicMonkey -- I've seen alot of photos lately with the stamp title, and loved it!  So, I gave it a shot!  What do you think?

Here are the challenges:

And, here's what I used for the card:

Love and Affection

I think this is one of my favorite new stamp sets!!  It's a very versatile set, and can be used with so many color combinations!!  Here's a soft and subtle one:

Measurements:

  • Whisper White card base: 5 ½” x 8 ½”, score at 4 ¼”
  • Flirty Flamingo cardstock: 4” x 5 ¼”
  • Tempting Turquoise cardstock: 4 ¼” x 3 ¼”
  • Whisper White cardstock: 3” x 4”

 Instructions:

  1. Fold the Whisper White card base in half.
  2. Run the Flirty Flamingo cardstock through the Big Shot several times, repositioning the Floral Affection folder so that you emboss the outside edges of the cardstock.  Layer onto card base.
  3. Stamp the sentiment of choice in the lower right corner of the 3” x 4” piece of Whisper White cardstock, using the Black Memento ink pad.
  4. Stamp the large flower randomly using Flirty Flamingo ink.  Stamp the inside of each flower using Blushing Bride ink.
  5. Stamp the small open flower randomly using Tempting Turquoise ink.  Stamp the inside using Pool Party ink.
  6. Stamp the stems/leaves randomly using Pear Pizzazz ink.  Fill any white space using the small flowers and Tempting Turquoise ink.
  7. Mount the white mat onto the ¼” larger piece of Tempting Turquoise cardstock and mount onto the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Birthday Fiesta!!

This was the first set on my "must have" list!!  I love the bright colors in the designer paper, and the images are perfect for fun cards!!!  I made this card for the current Freshly Made Sketch:

See how fun and bright the colors are?!!  LOVE!!    The llama is watercolored using Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink -- who says llamas can't be orange?!!!
