What Will You Stamp? #66

Welcome to another week of What Will You Stamp?! This week, we were challenged to use the Tap Tap Tap stamp set.  This wasn't one of my favorite stamp sets when I first saw it, but as I played around with it, it kinda grew on me!  I like that's it's a bit different!

Worldofdreams

Measurements:

  • Crumb Cake – 4 1/8” x 8 ¼”
  • Basic Black – 3 7/8” x 3 7/8”
  • Shimmery White – 3 5/8” x 3 5/8”

 Instructions:

  • Score and burnish fold on base card.
  • Adhere Basic Black layer to card base with dimensionsals
  • Using your circle punch – punch out a circle from your post-it note – ensure that when you punch it’s at the tacky side.
  • Position punched out circle to the right of half way. Using your sponges and inks sponge in a circular motion around your post-it circle gradually increasing the colour. Start with Saffron, then curry, then pumpkin then Cajun.  Go back over with the lighter colours for a smooth look.
  • When happy remove your post it and light sponge So Saffron to soften the ‘sun’.
  • Stamp your silhouette stamp in Jet Black Stazon on the left hand side with it slightly overlapping the sun. Then on the right just do a couple of the branch ends – this gives you card continuation or the illusion of a treeline. Stamp sentiment of choice at the bottom in Jet Black Stazon – my sentiment is from the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set
  • Adhere this layer to card using Dimensionals.

Sunburst Sayings

Measurement:

  • Whisper White Thick Cardstock: 5 ½” x 8 ½”, score at 4 ¼”
  • Tempting Turquoise Floral Designer Series Paper:  5 ½” x 4 ¼”
  • So Saffron card stock: 4” x 3”
  • White Vellum card stock 4” x 3”
  • Window Sheet: 4” x 3”

 Instructions:

  1. Adhere the Tempting Turquoise Floral Designer Series paper to the front of the Whisper White cardbase.
  2. Use the Square Framelits to create the So Saffron window frame.

TIP:  Use the 4th framelit die from the smallest of the set to create the inside frame.  Place the square framelit towards the top part of the So Saffron layer to create an even frame border.  Then shift the square framelit down to finish creating a full frame border.

  1. Use the 4” x 3” Project Life Card framelit to die cut the window sheet.
  2. Stamp the sentiments on the window sheet using Jet Black StazOn ink and let dry thoroughly before adhering to the back of the So Saffron frame using Fast Fuse Adhesive.
  3. Cut 2 rows of Stampin Dimensionals in half.  Stick these halves lengthwise (and touching edge to edge) to create a wall on the back of the So Saffron/Window Sheet frame.  Remove the paper from the Dimensionals, sprinkle a couple pinches of Metallic Sequins in the center, and place the White Vellum cardstock layer onto the dimensionals to seal in the sequins.
  4. Create So Saffron and Whisper White banners using the Banner Punch and adhere to the back side of the shaker frame.
  5. Cut a piece of Tea Lace Doily and adhere to the back of the shaker frame.
  6. Create a small bow with tails using Crushed Curry Bakers Twine and glue to the front of the shaker frame.
  7. Adhere the whole shaker frame ensemble to the front of the card.

Love You Lots

We had our monthly meeting last weekend with the Nacho Average Stampers.  We met at Jason's Deli and enjoyed some dinner, stamping and lots of laughs!!  Here's the card I created for the Shoebox Swap:

DSCF1413

I love the paper piecing -- stamped the elephant onto designer paper, and then cut it out and adhere it to the stamped image on vanilla!  Very simple, but makes a super cute elephant!  I used one of the new hostess sets, Love You Lots, along with some new designer paper, Playful Palette.  Lots of fun stuff in the new catalog!!

What Will You Stamp? #65 Endless Birthday Wishes

Welcome to another week of What Will You Stamp?! This week, we were challenged to use the Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set.  This was one of the very first photopolymer stamp sets that Stampin' Up! came out with!  And I fell in love!  It has so many sentiments, and such a cute font!  And, because it's photopolymer, you can easily place the words exactly where you want them!
