Freshly Made Sketches

Good morning!!  I stayed home from work yesterday with a horrible migraine.  It kept me up all night!  But, by the afternoon, I was feeling a bit better -- no more headache, just tired.  So, I decided to get into my stamp room and play!!  I've decided to try and use ALL of my current designer paper stash before it all retires!  That would be more impressive to you if you saw my stash!! haha!!  I love Stampin' Up!'s designer paper, and every year I buy it all!!  haha!!  So, here's a card I made with the Bohemian Designer paper:

Stampwithtammyfms

It's a VERY simple card -- and I made a bunch using this same layout!  I also used my retiring Blackberry Bliss cardstock!  2 birds with 1 stone.....

The layout I used is from the Freshly Made Sketches:

Fms

I always love their sketches, and use them frequently when I need some inspiration for cards!

The sentiment is from a past My Paper Pumpkin kit.  These kits come with some of the cutest stamps!

Project Sheet Wednesday - Feels Good

Good morning!!  I wanted to share a card to day made with another retiring stamp set, Feel Goods.

Feelsgood

Measurements

  • Whisper White Card Base 5 ½” x 4 ¼” when folded
  • Crumb Cake layer – 4” x 5 ¼”
  • Botanical Garden DSP strips – ¾” x 4”
  • Whisper White card stock – 4” x 4” (for deco label)

Instructions:

  1. Fold Whisper White card stock into 5 ½” x 4 ¼” card base. Adhere Crumb Cake layer to card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  2. Use paper snips to cut ‘triangle’ onto each end of Botantical Garden Designer Series Paper strips. Adhere to Crumb Cake layer, staggering their heights, as desired. Fold up the end of the strips a little, for some dimension.
  3. Stamp sentiment from “Feel Goods” using stazon on Whisper White card stock and cut on Big Shot using magnetic pad and Deco Label framelits. Sponge edge with Cajun Craze. Adhere on top of DSP strips using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  4. Punch out flowers from more Botantical Garden DSP using Itty Bitty Accents punch and Petite Petals Punch. Use glue dots to adhere flowers to card.
  5. Finish off card with a linen thread bow and rhinestones.

What Will You Stamp? #61

Welcome to another week of What Will You Stamp?! This week, we were challenged to use the Heartfelt Sympathy stamp set.  This is such a beautiful stamp set.  And, the sentiments are "just right".   I love it!  For this card, I used more of the Timeless Elegance Designer Paper -- I love to color it with my Stampin' Write Markers -- makes such a soft and elegant background.  The ribbon treatment did not come out the way I wanted it to -- not sure what I was going for, but this wasn't it! haha!  I do like it though!  To get this effect you'll need to use your Tear 'n Tape -- put it down first, then "scrunch" up your ribbon as you place it on the adhesive!  This technique works best with the seam binding!

TGIF Challenge #50

Good morning!!  I have a fun (and funny) card for you today!  It uses the stamp set "Just Kidding" -- it's not in any catalog, but can be ordered anytime!  I love the sayings -- works great for me and my friends as we all head happily into our 50's!

Tgifc50tammy

I really like this sketch -- so many possibilities!  I used designer paper for the stripes, but you could also use washi tape, ribbon or stamp an image!!!   Be sure to check out the TGIF Challenge site!!
