Project Sheet Wednesday

Ghiradelli

Measurement:

  • Shimmer White 4 ¼ x 11
  • Basic Black mat 4 x 5 ¼ and for the fry box 5 ½ x 8 ½
  • DSP 3 x 4
  • Scrap for the image in Shimmery White
  • Black Glimmer 1 ¼ x 4
  • Gold Glimmer ¼ x 4

 Instructions:

  1. Run the Tangelo Twist through the Big Shot using the Zig Zag Embossing Folder and attach to the Black Mat. Then attach the glimmer pieces to it and mount onto the card base.
  2. Cut the fry box and cut away the top from the bottom. You will use the whole bottom except for the center piece. You will use the top center for the background.
  3. Cut another top center for the background of the fry box and trim to fit.
  4. Assemble by taping the tabs to the back of the background piece after you’ve attached the DSP to it. Wrap ribbon around and adhere to back of box.
  5. Stamp image and cut out
  6. Cut strands of gold chord and attach to the front of the box with glue dots.
  7. Pop up the Poison Bottle using dimensionals.
  8. Attach Spider Web Doily to the front of the card with a few glue dots.
  9. Attach the candy Fry Box with Sticky Strip and add candy

Nacho Average Challenges #160

It's Tuesday!!!  and, that always means a fun, new challenge from the Nachos!!  This week, we have a beautiful color challenge for you:

It's almost October, so I went with the Halloween theme!!  Plus, these colors scream Halloween to me!!

Measurements:

  • Tangelo Twist:  4 ¼” x 11”, scored at 5 ½”
  • Basic Black:  4” x 5 ¼”, 2 ¾” x 2 3/8”
  • Whisper White:  3 7/8” x 5 1/8”, 2 5/8” x 2 1/8”

Instructions:

  • On large piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp images randomly in three colors of ink.
  • On small piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp “trick or treat” in Basic Black ink, towards the top of the cardstock.
  • Add two strips of washi tape below the sentiment. 
  • Add five basic black candy dots over the washi tape. (hint, you can color any light colored candy dot with a black sharpie!!)
  • Assemble your card!
  • Send to a friend!

What Will You Stamp? #30

Happy Monday!!!  It's time for another stamp set challenge at the WWYS? Blog!!  This week, we have a really pretty set from the Holiday catalog:

Very simple card!   I used our thick white cardstock for the base, and embossed it using the Woodland Embossing Folder!  The leaves were stamped in black, then sponged over, rather than actually "coloring" them in!  Simple, but elegant!

Measurements:

115316 Rich Razzleberry - 8-1/2 x 5-1/2

119683 Daffodil Delight - scraps for the stars, moon and windows in the houses

 Instructions:

  1. Use the Precision Base Plate and the row of houses from the Sleigh Ride Thinlits Dies set with the piece of Basic Black cardstock.  Carefully add tiny pieces of Daffodil Delight cardstock to the back of each house so it appears that lights are on.
  2. Layer this onto the Pumpkin Pie layer, trimming to fit.
  3. Slide the 1-1/2" Circle Punch into the edge of a scrap of Daffodil Delight cardstock and punch. Slide the punch back in a bit farther and punch to create the moon shape.
  4. Punch a row of stars from another scrap of Daffodil Delight and add the stars and moon to the Pumpkin Pie layer with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
  5. Stamp the "Trick -or-Treat" greeting using the Basic Black Archival ink where shown.
  6. Tie the ribbon around the Pumpkin Pie layer and attach it to the Rich Razzleberry card base.

Measurements:

  • Basic Black: 4 ¼” x 8 ½”
  • Very Vanilla:  4” x 5 ¼”; 3” x 2”

Instructions:

  1. Fold Basic Black card base in half and crease with bone folder.
  2. Emboss large Very Vanilla piece using the Brick Wall Textured Embossing folder.
  3. Using Stampin’ Sponge and Gray Ink, distress front of embossed piece.
  4. Adhere three pieces of torn Washi Tape to left side of embossed piece and stamp “happy halloween” in black ink just to the right of top piece of Washi Tape.
  5. Using black ink, stamp spiders to the right of sentiment, up just about ¼”.
  6. Stamp EEK in Tangelo Twist ink on the Very Vanilla scrap.  Die cut using the 2nd smallest Oval Framelit, Magnetic Platform, and Big Shot. Distress with sponge and Gray Ink; stamp two spiders over letter using Black ink.
  7. Using Fine Tip Glue Pen, adhere spider web doily to embossed piece in the top left corner.  Using Basic Black Marker, draw lines from web to three spiders on card front.
  8. Using two Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhere “EEK” oval to the top of the web.
  9. Using black sharpie, color in small rhinestones and attach one to each spider body.
  10. Mail to your favorite Halloween goblin!
