Nacho Average Challenge #135

Good morning, and welcome to another great challenge from the Nachos!!  It's a sketch challenge this week!  I sure hope you'll play along!  Be sure to leave your link HERE on the Nacho Blog!

I used the Bravo set, along with the Zoo Babies stamp set!  Colors are Bermuda Bay and Soft Suede!  Can't get much simpler than this!  But, I think it's cute!

Freshly Made Sketches #179

Look!!  Another card!!  That's 3 days in a row!!  Woohoo for me!!!  :-)  This card is based on the Freshly Made Sketch:

and, once again (3 days in a row!), I used the Painted Blooms designer paper:

Again, I reached for my Painted Blooms designer paper!  I paired it with a cute new photopolymer stamp set called "Lovely Amazing You"!

Nacho Average Challenge #134

So, it's Tuesday again, and it seems as this is the only day I post anymore!! :-)  So sorry--life has just gotten busy, and I don't spend as much time on the computer as I used to!  I do post pretty regularly on my Facebook page, so be sure and check that out!

Now, on to the important stuff -- the Nacho Challenge for this week:

Such warm, cheery colors!!  So spring-like!!!  Here's my card:

I used the "Something Lacy" background stamp -- stamped it twice, and then punched out 3 circles from one of the images.  I colors the circles, then adhered them to the non-colored image!  My own little version of the spotlight technique!

Cheerful Critters

Measurements:

  • Melon Mambo: 5.5”x8.5”
  • Whisper White: 5”x3.75”, plus some for die cutting

Instructions:

  1. Cut card base from Melon Mambo, cut base layer from Whisper White
  2. Emboss Whisper White with Happy Heart embossing folder, then stamp ‘heart’ stamp from Best Day ever inside random embossed hearts; adhere to card base
  3. Stamp bunny from Cheerful Critters and sentiment on Whisper White; use Oval Framelit to die cut
  4. Die cut Bermuda Bay washi sheet with the next size oval to mat the stamped Whisper White oval
  5. Color the bunny stamped image using Markers
  6. Trim the bottom of both ovals where the stamped image ends
  7. Adhere the washi oval and stamped oval on to the embossed base layer
  8. Cut a small section of Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim to create a little belt for the bunny’s outfit

Nacho Average Challenge #132

Good morning!  I know St. Patty's Day is still a week away, but we're hoping to inspire you to get your cards done now! :-)  Here's our color challenge for you:

I used the Bravo Stamp Set and alot of stars!!  Hope you enjoy!  Be sure to head over to the Nacho Blog and admire the team's work!  They never cease to amaze me with their talent!!

Sheer Perfection!

Vellum

Measurements:  

  • Mossy Meadow Card Base - 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”
  • Whisper White Panel - 3 ¾” x 5”
  • Pear Pizzazz Panel - 3 1/8” x 4 3/8”
  • Basic Gray Panel - 2 7/8” x 3 1/8”
  • Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper and the Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum Stack panels are both cut at 2 ¾” x 3”        

Instructions:

  1. Run the Whisper White panel through the Big Shot with the Spring Flowers Embossing Folder. Adhere to the front panel of your card base with SNAIL.
  2. Use SNAIL in each corner of the vellum panel and secure to the Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper. Use SNAIL to attach this panel to the Basic Gray panel.  
  3. Put Dimensionals onto the Basic Gray/Floral panel and secure to the Pear Pizzazz panel.  
  4. Wrap the Mossy Meadow Thick Baker’s Twine around the Pear Pizzazz Panel and tie into a knot. Trim ends as shown.
  5. Use Dimensionals to attach the decorated Pear Pizzazz panel to the Whisper White Panel.
  6. Put card into an envelope and give it away to someone who needs to be reminded that Spring is coming!!

I really needed a new "guy" set, and this new "Guy Greetings" in the Occasions Catalog is perfect!!  It's got a bunch of different images -- shoes, an anchor, a car, etc, along with some great sentiments to go along with them!  Here's a card we're making at the Card Clubs this month:
