SUDSOL Blog Tour!

Come back for the SUDSOL Blog Tour - Feb 1, 2013

Good morning, and welcome to my stop along the SUDSOL Blog Tour this morning!  I hope you're enjoying the tour so far!

What is SUDSOL?  It stands for Simply Unique Demonstrators Sharing On Line!  And, that's it in a nutshell!  We do weekly challenges, share business ideas (and the forms!!), class ideas (with instructions!!), and tons of samples!!  I would be lost without all these ideas!  You can get a 2-Week Free Trial -- just click on the banner:

SUDSOL - Your 24/7 Upline
 Now, how about some projects!!!

My first is a fun frame I made for a great friend!  We both live here in Albuquerque, but met at a Stampin' Up! convention a million years ago!!  (Hi Lani!):

Sudsblogtour1

I started with a sheet of the More Amore Designer Paper--and chose colors to go with that!  I used Pool Party for the front "frame" and the letters (cut out using the Big Shot and Typeset Alphabet Dies).  The little heart was made using the Big Shot and the Hearts a Flutter framelits.  I also embossed it with the Adorning Accents Embossing Strips.  I also embossed the two sides of the Pool Party frame, but it's hard to see in the picture!!

One of my favorite items from the Spring Catalog is the Swallowtail Stamp!!  I just think it is beautiful!  Here's a fun card using it:

Scsample

The card base is Melon Mambo, followed by a layer of Basic Black.  I stamped the Swallowtail in versamark ink directly onto my First Edition Designer Paper, then embossed with Melon Mambo Embossing Powder.  I added some accents along the side:  first a strip of our new Natural 7/16" Trim Ribbon, then 3 butterflies punched out with the Elegant Butterfly punch.  This is the one in the "big" catalog.  I stamped three in Basic Black, then three out of Vellum cardstock.  I ran those through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder for added texture.  I finished them off with 3 tiny pearls each!  Fun and pretty!

My last card is super simple!!!

Jandivadays3

We made this card at my Diva Days in January!  My downline has chances to win the honor of attending this special stamp camp!  We made three projects, and enjoyed brunch together!

This stamp set is called Feeling Sentimental, and is a Sale-a-bration item--which means you can earn it FREE!!  I stamped the phone booth in Black Stazon, and the sentiment using our Classic Real Red ink.  The ovals were cut using the Big Shot (what did we ever do without these!!) and the new Ovals Collection Framelits.  Easiest way to do this--cut the ovals out, then stamp right through the "hole"!!  perfect placement everytime!

I hope you enjoyed my projects!!  Don't forget to sign up for your FREE Two Week Trial to SUDSOL!!

Honeycomb Birthday!

Sctammy1
This is a fun card using the new Honeycomb Embossing Folder!  To make it easier to cut out, run your designer paper through the Big Shot with the embossing folder--then use the embossing as a cutting guide!  It's really quick and easy!!

Nacho Average Challenge #31

Good morning!!  I love this week's sketch challenge over on the Nacho Blog

Nac31

It's wide open--what would you put as your main image?  Well, with the beautiful new Swallowtail stamp staring me down, I just had to ink her up!  LOL!!

Nac31tammy

I inked the stamp up using sponge daubers--start with your lightest color, and work towards your darkest color.  I started with Summer Starfruit, then added Marina Mist, and finished up with Real Red!  I probably even missed some spots--but that's the beauty of this technique--it doesn't matter!! I love the way it turned out!  Now to decide who to send it to!!  Do you have a birthday coming up?

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Paper Craft Crew!

Freshly Made Sketch #70

Good morning!!  Here's a fun "get well" card for you!  I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches for the layout:

FMS Final 70-001

and, here's the card:

Fms70

Very simple!  I cut the butterflies with the Beautiful Butterflies Die, then ran the vellum one through with the Polka Dots Embossing Foder.  The "body" is a strip of pearls.  I stamped the sentiment on cardstock vellum, then punched out with the word window punch.  This is layered onto the really cool Delicate Details Lace Tape!  This stuff is sooooo easy to use!

Supplies used:

Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set

Cardstock:  Crumb Cake, Tangerine Tango, Island Indigo & Vellum;  Sycamore Street Designer Paper

Ink:  Island Indigo

Misc:  word window punch, Beautiful Butterflies Die, Big Shot, Polka Dots Embossing Folder

Supplies used:

Stamp Set:  Itty Bitty Banners

Ink:  Primrose Petals

Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Basic Gray & Primrose Petals;  Primrose Petals Core'dinations Paper;  First Edition Designer Paper

Misc:  Vine Street Embossing Folder, Hearts a Flutter Framelits, Large Heart Punch, Bitty Banners Framelits, Rhinestones

This is one of the cards we're making at my "It's All About Love" Stamp-a-stack!  Would love for you to join us!!  (Sunday, February 3rd @ 2pm)  You'll be home in plenty of time for the Superbowl!!!

Sketch Frenzy Friday!

Good morning, and happy Friday!  Today's sketch over at Sketch Frenzy Friday is brought to you by Kim:

Sff012513kim

I combined the sketch with the Color Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers:  Pool Party, Soft Suede and Calypso Coral.  And, this is what I came up with:

Sff012513cc410
The senitment is from Delightful Dozen--I love the font on this one!  I used the Hearts Framelits to cut out the two hearts, and then I did some paper piercing around them!   The ribbon is from the Sale-a-bration brochure--you can get it FREE with a $50 purchase!

Be sure and check out the rest of the design teams cards at the SFF Blog!!

Have a GREAT day!

Happiest Birthday!
