and, my card:

I used two sets from the Holiday Catalog:  Googly Ghouls and Mixed Medley.  For the texture, I used the spider web embossing folder.  The spider's "web" is actually just a thin piece of black cardstock!

Supplies used:

Googly Ghouls & Mixed Medley Stamp Sets

Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White cardstock

Pumpkin Pie and Black Stazon ink

1 1/4" circle punch, big Shot, Spider web embossing folder

Nacho Average Challenge #8

Good morning!!  It's time for another fun challenge over at the Nacho Average Challenge Blog!!  I hope you'll join us!

Today's challenge is a Color Challenge:

Nac8color
Such fun, bright colors!!  Some of my favorites!!!  And, here's my card:

Nac8

I stamped the flower from Mixed Bunch in each of the three colors on a piece of First Edition Designer Paper, then punched them out with the Blossom punch.  The card base if Basic Black, then I added three panels--one of each of the challenge colors!  I finished it off with some of our new 7/8" Cotton Ribbon--and look, you can stamp on it!!  I also added a sentiment from Petite Pairs on the Pumpkin Pie panel!

Head on over to the blog now and see the team's work!!

Don't forget to play along with us!

One last one from the August Christmas Class

Augchristmas3

This is a simple card to make.  I wanted to showcase the new Core'dinations cardstock--it's so pretty!  It's got a neutral "inside", so when you emboss it with the Big Shot and an embossing folder (Lacy Brocade on this card), you can sand away the color to leave a antiqued look.  This is the Early Espresso, and it's so pretty!  We used markers on the stamp--Gumball Green and Early Espresso.  Then stamped the "Merry Christmas" in real red ink.

Divas Sketch Challenge #202

Happy Saturday!!  I'm so excited--a friend of mine and I are heading up to Santa Fe for the Indian Market!  Can't wait to see all the wonderful things!!!

I'm also excited to share with you the sketch from the Divas' Sketch Challenge:

Divasc202sketch

I see so many possibilities for the "flower"--you can use any shape you'd like there!!  Here's what I did:

Divasc202

I started my card with the designer paper--love this piece from the Candlelight Christmas pack--just Real Red and Very Vanilla!   So, I stuck to those to colors and basically just did alot of layering!  The sentiment is from the Christmas Blessings set, and is stamped in Real Red ink.  I layered that onto Real Red cardstock, but it didn't "pop", so I added another layer of Very Vanilla--now it stands out!  The "flower" is made up of different punches:  Scallop Circle, 1 1/4" scallop circle, and Boho Blossoms.

Hope you enjoy it!  Be sure and check out all the designers' cards on the UDI Blog!!!

Saturday Sketch Challenge #269

Good afternoon!!!  I've been busy all day getting ready for our team meeting tonight!  Can't wait to see everyone!

Here is our sketch for you today, from the Stamping 411 Blog!!

Ssc269sketch

Cute, huh?!!  Well, here's what I came up with:

Ssc269

Isn't it pretty?!!  I love Silver and white together!  For this card, I embossed the tree from Snow Swirled, and the sentiment from Delightful Dozen with Silver Embossing Powder.  I layered those onto pieces of Silver cardstock.  The bottom portion is silver cardstock dry embossed using the Big Shot and the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder.  Then, white organza ribbon was added!  Very simple and easy, but elegant, I think!

Now, head on over to the Stamping 411 Blog and check out the other designers' inspiration!  Then, play along with us!!!  We'd love to see what you do with the sketch!!
