Happy Friday afternoon!!  Are you all ready for the 3-day weekend?!!  woohoo!  I'm so excited because we have NO plans!  yep--just going to hang out with the family!  Can't wait!

But, before that starts, I need to share with your our sketch challenge for today!!

Cute, huh?!!!  You can find all the measurements for the sketch on the Stamping 411 Blog!

Here's my card:

Does this designer paper look familiar?!! LOL!  Yep, it's the Howlstooth & Scaringbone again!  And, yes, it's even the same sentiment!!  Guess it was on my desk from the last card! :-)  Now you can see how versatile it is! LOL!!!  I did use different framelits for this one:  the black is done with the Apothecary Accents, and the Tangerine Tango is cut with the Lots of Tags Sizzlet!  I also used the Adorning Accents Edgelit on the bottom of the designer paper and the Basic Black cardstock!  For the funnest part of this card, check out the ribbon!!!  It's the striped satin ribbon found in the Holiday Mini--it's just so cool!!  I was able to get a really good shot of it in the sunlight, so you can really see the stripes!

This will be our last post over at Stamping 411 for a little while.  It's a busy time for everyone, and the operators are no exception!  So, we've decided that a "vacation" is in order!  Please head on over to the BLOG and read all about it!

Sketch Frenzy Friday!

Happy Friday!!!  As you know, Friday means it's time for the Sketch Frenzy Friday Sketch Challenge!!  I hope you'll play along with us!!  Here's our sketch, brought to you by ME!! :-)

I used some fun Halloween design paper, Howlstooth & Scaringbone!  But, honestly, it's not really "halloween-y"--meaning you could use this paper for anything else, too!!  All the patterns are plaids or stripes or chevrons!  I think this paper would be perfect for some of those masculine cards we all struggle with!  But, because of the colors, it does make great Halloween cards, too!

My sentiment is from the Delightful Dozen Stamp Set--love it!  It's got all the major holidays covered, all in one stamp set!!  I stamped it in Black Stazon Ink, then punched out with the Modern Label punch.

Just FYI, the black squares are 2 1/2", and the designer paper is 2 3/8"!  I've had several people ask!

Hope you like it!!  Now, head on over to the homepage!!

Elegant Eggplant!

I love this color, and love using it for Christmas cards!  I've been working on my upcoming Christmas Card Class (Sept 16 @ 2pm), and this is one of the cards I created that didn't make the cut!  :-)

Snowflakes

It uses the Snowflake Soiree Stamp Set and our new Champagne Glimmer Paper!  I wish you could see it in real life--sooooo sparkly!!  I stamped the large snowflake in Versamark ink, then embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.  Actually, the sentiment, too!  Then, I stamped the other snowflakes in Elegant Eggplant classic ink.  The edges of the white and the card base are sponged with Elegant Eggplant ink.

If you'd like to come to my Christmas Card Class, click HERE to register!  There are only 2 spots left, so hurry!!  (class is being held Sunday, Sept 16 @ 2pm, at my house!)

and, my card:

Nac9tammy

I LOVE this new Snowflake Soiree Stamp Set!!  Of course, I do love all snowflakes, but this one is especially pretty!  I also love to use snowflakes with colors that aren't really "snowflake-y"!!  In this case, I pulled three colors from the Candlelight Christmas Specialty Designer Paper:  Early Espresso, Real Red and Lucky Limeade!  I really like them alot!!  Nothing complicated aobut this card--it's all straighfoward!  If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me an email, or leave a comment!

You can play along with us--just make a card based on the sketch, then upload it on the Nacho Challenge Blog HERE!  You can also find the sketch's measurents there, too!

Nothing today!

Divas Sketch Challenge #203

Good morning!!!  A Big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my niece, Ali!  Hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Here's our sketch for today's challenge:

Divasc203sketch

Banners seem to be all the rage these days, so this sketch was alot of fun!

Divasc203

Look--I got a new set!!!!  I love snowflakes, so I always buy every snowflake set they come out with!!  This one is called Snowflake Soiree, and it's so elegant!!  I really like it alot!!!

I wanted to use colors that aren't always associated with snow or snowflakes, so I pulled out my trusty Color Coach, and these were listed with Midnight Muse:  Cherry Cobbler and Bashful Blue!  I think they work GREAT together!!  This card is pretty simple--just stamp the snowflakes randomly in the three ink colors, then put it all together!  When it was complete, there seemed to be too much blank space in the lower right corner, so I added three of our Large Pearls!  Like it!!

Hope you have a wonderful day!!  Please head on over to the Divas' blog and check out the rest of the team's cards!!
