This was my favorite theme song ever!! And, I've been to a few conventions!! Watch it, and see if it doesn't make you smile!!
I am slowly but surely adding pictures of the displays at convention! So many GREAT ideas!!! You can see them HERE! Be sure to "like" my Facebook Page for all the updates!
Today is the last day of our Stampin' Up! convention! :-( It's always sad to say good-bye to our far-away friends! But, we've sure had fun at convention!!! Learned so much--can't wait to share with you all!!
For now, we have our Divas Sketch Challenge!
and my card:
Doesn't that striped piece look complicated?!! It took me forever to cut them all perfectly straight and line them up -- NOT!! It's actually a piece of the designer paper!! I love it!! It's in the new Holiday Seasonal Catalog (coming August 1), and it's called Snow Festival! The colors are so fun in this paper--there are the traditional Christmas colors, but also Primrose Petals, Baja Breeze & Soft Suede!! Can't wait to play with it some more!!
Anyway, here are the supplies I used for this card:
Curly Cute Stamp Set
Gumball Green Classic Ink Pad
Gumball Green & Whisper White cardstock; Snow Festival Designer Paper
Scallop Edge Punch
Now, head on over to the UDI Blog and see what the rest of the ladies came up with!!!
Hi!! It's time for another great sketch from the Stamping 411 Operators!!
Isn't it a pretty sketch? Here's my card:
I love the way this card turned out!! I actually started my card with the Patio Party Designer Paper! It's such a fun pack of paper!! I took my colors from there! It's all fairly straight forward--but, if you have any questions, please let me know!! Here are the supplies used:
Word Play Stamp Set
Raspberry Ripple, Midnight Muse and Whisper White cardstock; Patio Party Designer Paper
Midnight Muse Classic Ink (along with a stampin' sponge for the edge of the largest circle!)
1 3/4" Circle Punch, 2 3/8" scallop circle punch; Big Shot, 3 1/2" circl die, Circles #2 Die; Chevron Embossing Folder; Raspberry Ripple Stitched Satin Ribbon

Your next stop on our blog hop is the Sketch Frenzy HOMEPAGE!
Every year, I try to make some fun gifts for the ladies in group attending convention! I always do some sort of notebook--so they can takes lots of notes!! This year, I decided to sew the notebook covers--not sure why! I am NOT a seamstress by any stretch of the imagination!! But, I set my mind to it, and even though it took me FOREVER to do, here they are:
I used several different fabrics--but all Stampin' Up! fabrics! They really are pretty! Oh, before you ask, I purchased the tutorial for the notepad cover HERE.
Here is the inside of one:
In addition to the notepads, I also made them these little bags--I included things like a highlighter, sugarfree gum, tic tacs, flavor packs for their water and of course, chocolate! Just some fun little things.
I found the instructions for this bag on LeeAnn's blog. It's really simple to make--if I can do it, so can you!!
Here's a close up of one of the bags:
And the Tic Tac Container:
Now, I didn't come up with this idea--they are everywhere! But, here are the measurements I used:
4 3/4" x 3", scored at 2" & 2 3/4". Pretty simple! I used Glue Dots to adhere the tic tac box to the back of the container! Added the image from MDS, and a ribbon! Viola! Easy Peasy!
And, I always try to do a tag for their convention bags--everyone gets the same bag for convention, so this helps identify your own! This is the front--the back is the red/white polka dot pattern (from the Summer Smooches Designer Paper) with their name and address:
This is another swap I did for my Up-upline's group. There were 15 of us, so I decided to make these lanyards. The group name is "Got Stamps?", so I was going for a cow print! (Stampin' Up! fabrics aren't long enough for this project).
The tutorial for the lanyards can be found HERE.
Hope you've enjoyed these gifts! Sorry for such a long post!! :-) Enjoy the rest of your week!
Good morning! My flight for Salt Lake leaves at 6:30am--what was I thinking?!! But, I like getting there as soon as I can--so much to see and do at the Stampin' Up! Convention!
I don't do alot of swaps at Convention--seems like I run out of time after doing my downline gifts and such! But, there's a group that I belong to--just 12 of us--and we decided to do a swap this year at convention! These ladies are super talented, so I tried to do a really special card for this swap! Here's what I came up with (kind of brilliant, if I do say so myself!!):
Okay, it doesn't look "brilliant" in the first pic, but how about when it's opened:
Cool, huh?!! I stamped on a window sheet with Black Stazon, and inserted it between the card front and the designer paper!! I love it!! And, I came up with this all on my own!! (LOL! You guys know how much I love to copy!) Anyway, I hope the other ladies like it!!
Here are the supplies used:
Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set
Lucky Limeade, Early Espresso & Very Vanilla cardstock; Orchard Harvest Designer Paper; Window Sheets
Lucky Limeade, More Mustard and Early Espresso Classic Ink; Black Stazon Ink
Big Shot, Bitty Banners Framelits, Cannery Set Framelits; More Mustard Ribbon
Come back tomorrow for a peak at my downline gifts!!
Hello all! And welcome back to another Nacho Average Sketch Challenge!!! This sketch is clean and simple--with lots of room for embellishing!
and my design:
The card base is Whisper White (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2"). The next layer is a Summer Starfruit Top Note Die. I cut another Top Note Die using the Patio Party Designer Paper, then trimmed it along the perforation. Then, a piece of Summer Starfruit Stitched Satin Ribbon was added around the card. (I cheated and used glue dots to hold the tails of the knot where I wanted them!!) For the butterflies, I used the NEW Elegant Butterfly Punch, and punched out one each in Baja Breeze, Primrose Petals & Summer Starfruit. These were embossed with the Petals-a-Plenty Embossing folder and Big Shot. I added some rhinestones for the body of the butterfly! Love a little sparkle!!
So, what are you waiting for--go make a card!! Then, post a link to it on the Nacho Average Challenges Blog!!!
