It's been a busy week--I have my first Friday Card Club meeting on Friday (still room, if you'd like to join us!), my Nacho Diva Day on Saturday (for my wonderful group of demonstrators), and then a New Catalog Stamp-a-Stack on Sunday!  So, I have been busy--just can't share it with you yet!! :-)

June Card Clubs!!

Hi!  Our next club meets on Friday, June 22nd.  This will be our first meeting of this round, and it will run through November 2012!  We meet on Friday evenings, and you'll make six cards each month.  Your only requirement is to place a $25 order (before ship/tax) each month!  And, one of those months, you'll be the hostess--which means at least $25 in FREE stuff!!

We are desperate for new members!!  If you're ready to have some fun and build your stamp supply a little at a time, please consider joining the club!!  Click HERE for all the details!  To sign up, just select one of the months to be the hostess!

Here is one of the cards we'll make on Friday:

This one uses the Betsy's Blossoms Stamp set, along with a couple of NEW Big Shot items:  the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder and the Apothecary Accents Framelits!  We also used the new Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack!

Have a GREAT day!

Divas Sketch Challenge #193

Wow!  Can you believe it's already the middle of June?!!  Summer is flying by!  I hope yours is going great!

Saturday brings us another sketch over at the UDI Blog!!  Be sure you head over there and check out the design team's creations!!  I'm always blown away by them!!

Our sketch today is brought to us by Elizabeth!

Divasc193sketch

This one took me FOREVER to figure out the right size for the squares!!

Divasc193

My card base is Whisper White (5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4").  The next layer is Tangerine Tango (5 1/4" x 4").  I then layered my Floral District rectangles (1" x 5/8") onto squares of Lucky Limeade (  1 1/8" x 7/8").  I arranged them in place, then adhered them!  I wanted to make sure I had even spacing.  Then, I added a flower in Tangerine Tango ink.  The bird is also stamped with Tangerine Tango, hand cut, then layered onto Lucky Limeade (which was also hand trimmed).  It's popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Banners--stamped in Lucky Limeade and cut out using my Big Shot and Bitty Banner Framelits.

That's it--sure seems like alot of steps for such a simple card, huh?!! :-)

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

Sketch Frenzy Friday!

Hi!!  and welcome to Friday!!  I'm looking forward to a day with my boys!  They're both so busy with baseball, tennis, etc, that we don't get alot of down time together!  It's going to be a great day!

Friday also means it's time for another Sketch Frenzy!!  Our sketch today was drawn by Tina!  It's fairly simple and straightforward, which means lots of room for embellishing!!  Here's the sketch:

and my card:

Yes, it's a Christmas card!!!  Can you believe it?!  Well, I've been busy designing cards for my upcoming Christmas Card Classes.  I love this new designer paper!!  It's called Be of Good Cheer, and it's got such fun patterns!  I paired it with a new set, Chock-Full of Cheer!  Colors used are Gumball Green and Cherry Cobbler.  The ribbon is Cherry Cobbler seam binding.  For the sentiment, I stamped then punched with the Word Window punch.  That is layered onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler that I cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits!   The embossing folder I used is retired--I didn't even realize it!  I went to look in the catalog to find out the name, and it wasn't there!  Oh well, it's still cute! :-)

Your next stop on our little blog hop is Tina's Blog!!  I can't wait to see what she did with her own sketch!

I hope you'll play along this week!  Be sure to leave your link on the homepage!!

Dynamic Duos #6

I love the colors they come up with on the Dynamic Duos blog!!  This week is a really pretty combination:

I love pink and gray together!  Here's my card:

Duos

I used the Elements of Style stamp set--such a pretty set!  I stamped it in Basic Gray ink on whisper white cardstock.  Then, I stamped again on a scrap piece of whisper white, and colored it with my aqua painter and Regal Rose ink.  I punched this out with the 1 1/4" circle punch and layered it onto a 1 3/8" circle of basic gray.  That was mounted onto my card!  This is called "spotlighting"--such a simple technique, but very striking!

Hope you enjoy the card!!!  Have a GREAT day!

SUDSOL Blog Tour!!!

Good morning and welcome to the SUDSOL Blog Tour!!  We're featuring some of the new products in our 2012-13 Stampin' Up! Catalog!!  I can't wait to show you my fun projects, but first I wanted to explain what SUDSOL is!  It's a website just for Stampin' Up! demonstrators--there are loads of business files, projects, templates, class outlines, etc!!  It's my go-to place when I'm "stuck" for ideas!  And, while the website is absolutely awesome, the people are the main reason I'm a member!  At any time of the day (or night!), you can post a question and get an instant answer!  Everyone is very supportive, and Patti and Coleen keep things on track!  I have been a member for as long as I can remember, and I don't think I'll ever leave!!

Okay, enough of the chatter!! :-)  On to the projects!  I wanted to highlight our new Bitty Banner Framelits and this great new specialty paper, Natural Composition!  This first project is a tall box--the pattern can be found on the SUDSOL site HERE.  The tutorial is by Kerin Sylvester.

Sudsol 012

I used the Natural Composition Specialty Paper for box, as well as the accents on the lid.  I had planned on adding some fun embellishments on the sides of the box, but once I had it together, I didn't want to cover up the print!  This paper has "glossy, raised patterns printed on heavy-weight Natural Paper".  Love it!

For the lid, I used 5 strips of the Raspberry Ribble ribbon:  7", 6", 5", 4" & 3".  I made each one into a loop, and then layered them on top of each other!  A small strip of ribbon was wrapped around to create the "bow".

and a side view:

To go along with the box, here's a simple card:

Sudsol 014

I used the same sheet of specialty paper, along with the new In Color Patterns stack.  The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set.  I stamped it on whisper white cardstock with Raspberry Ripple Classic Ink.  Then, I cut it out using the Bitty Banner Framelits and my Big Shot!  I also cut a banner out of the designer paper, cut it in half, and layered it behind the Natural Composition paper.

And, another example using the In Color Designer Paper Stack:

Ccjune5

I simply cut banners out of each color of the stack:  Gumball Green, Primrose Petals, Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit and Raspberry Ripple.  Then, I stamped with Midnight Muse ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock, then cut out using the Bitty Banners Framelits again!  The card base is Crumb Cake, with a layer of Midnight Muse!

I hope you enjoyed the projects!  I kept them simple--great for workshops or classes!!  All the projects will also be uploaded to my gallery on SUDSOL HERE.

If you'd like to give SUDSOL a try, they offer a free 2-week trial!!  Click HERE to check it all out!
