Today's sketch is one of my favorites:

DivaSC182sketch

Isn't it cute, even on it's own?!!  Well, here's my card:

Divasc182

And surprise--no Summer Smooches!! LOL!  I pulled out an old favorite--For All You Do!  I stamped the stem three times on the base of the card, then three more times on the smaller panel.  The flowers were stamped on the smaller panel, then on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock.  I cut them out and adhered them with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The final touch is a rhinestone int he center of each flower!  The sentiment is found in the same stamp set, For All You Do.

Have a GREAT day!  Please head over to the UDI Blog and see the wonderful artwork there!!

Saturday Sketch Challenge #249

Hello everyone!!  Can you believe that March is almost over?!  I always hope for the end of the windy season here in Albuquerque, but it doesn't usually happen!  Oh well, I guess the high winds are just a good reason to stay inside and stamp!!!

Today's sketch over at the Stamping 411 blog is a fun one:

and my card:

Ssc249

I made this card about two weeks ago, and now that I'm posting, I've decided that I don't really like it!  You can't really see the squares.  Oh well, you win some, you lose some! :-)  I'll send it to my Mom--she loves me no matter what! LOL!!

Supplies used:

Bright Blossoms & On Your Birthday Stamp Sets

Tangerine Tango, Real Red, Island Indigo & Whisper White cardstock;  Summer Smooches Designer Paper

Real Red, Island Indigo and Tangerine Tango Classic Inks

1 1/4" & 1 3/8" square punches

Head on over to the Stamping 411 blog and see what the other operators came up with!!  You're sure to be inspired, so play along!!  Hey--maybe you can "fix" my card for me!

Sketch Frenzy Friday!

It's Friday!!!  Hooray!  And, of course, Friday means the Sketch Frenzy Sketch Challenge and blog hop!  Our sketch is brought to you by ME!!

Another sneak peek at the Summer Smooches Designer Paper!!  Just two days until you can order!! :-)

Not alot of stamping on this card--just the sentiment from Perfectly Penned.  The card base is Island Indigo, with a layer of Whisper White.  The ribbon is Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon.  I used the 1 1/4" square punch for the designer paper, and then the 1 3/8" square punch for the Island Indigo layers!  Very simple!!

Time to head on over to the HOMEPAGE now!  Have a GREAT day!

Simple Easter!

Good morning!  Are you shocked--a post from me!  I know I haven't been as consistent as usual, but it's been busy around here!  It's baseball season!  And, this year, my youngest is a freshman, and made the varsity tennis team!  As you can imagine, we are at a game or match just about every afternoon!  and, I LOVE it!!  It's so much fun watching them play!  But, it has cut into my stamping time! :-)

I did find an Easter card to share with you!!  It's made with the Everybunny stamp set!

Jugs126

All stamping is done in Black Stazon ink, then colored in with Stampin' Write markers.  The colors are Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue, So Saffron and Certainly Celery!

Have a GREAT day!!!

Distressed Acrylics

Good morning!!  WOW--after a week or so, I finally feel a little bit better!!  I had a cold from @#$#@!! LOL!!  I started antibiotics on Friday, and I'm feeling really good today!  Of course, I haven't done much stamping in the last week or so, but I did find this card that we made at my downline meeting awhile back!  The technique was published in the magazine that Stampin' Up! publishes each month for us!  It's always jam-packed with ideas, techniques, etc!

004

The quick version:  apply acrylic paint to your cardstock and let dry.  Punch out with your favorite punch or Big Shot die, then emboss with the Embossing Folder of your choice!  Then use a sanding block and rub across the raised parts of your embossing to remove some of the paint!  Isn't it cool?  Here's a close up:

I used more neutral colors, but you could really go bold--what about black paint on Melon Mambo cardstock?!!  The would be really cool!!  Give it a try, and let me see what you come up with!

Have a great day!!!

ps.  I've added a class to April's schedule--the Spring has Sprung! Stamp-a-Stack on April 22 at 2pm!  I'd love to see you there!
