Saturday Sketch challenge #239

Wow!!  Leadership has been so much fun!!  I've learned sooooo much, and enjoyed some great times with my friends!  Tomorrow I'll be home, and it's back to normal life!

Today's sketch is a fun one--I hope you'll play along with us at Stamping 411!!  Be sure and leave your link there!

Ssc_239

We're just a few weeks away from Valentine's Day, so here's a fun card:

Ssc239

I used all kinds of fun stuff from the Occasions Mini Catalog:  Take it to Heart Stamp Set, along with the Hearts Collection Framelits to cut out my layered hearts.  The hearts on the small circles were cut and embossed (at the same time!) using the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit Die!  I added our new Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details to the small hearts (just put a dot on, and smear it around with your finger!) and to the outline of the stamped image!  So sparkly!  My colors are Real Red and Whisper White!  You can see the measurements on the Stamping 411 Blog!!

Don't forget to play along with us!! :-)

Sketch Frenzy Friday!

Hi!!  How is your week going?  My time in San Antonio has been a blast!!  Spending time with my friends is so much fun!  Next up--Convention!!  woohoo!!!

But, for now, it's time for the Sketch Frenzy Mini Blog Hop!!  Today's sketch is brought to you by Tina:

Sff012012sketch

It was a fun one!!  I actually had a idea right away--which is unusual!  I usually sit and stare at the sketch for awhile before anything comes to me! LOL!!!  Here's my card:

Sff012012

I love this paper!!!  It's called Everyday Enchantment, and can be found in the Sale-a-bration Brochure!  You can earn it FREE starting January 24th!!

For the big circle, I adhered strips of designer paper to a 4" x 4" square of Very Vanilla cardstock.  I used the adhesive sheets to make sure the adhesive covered the entire square.  Then, I used the 3 1/2" Circle Die and cut it out.  I also cut a 3 1/2" circle of Poppy Parade cardstock for the layer beneath it.  I stamped the medallion from the coordinating stamp set, Fresh Vintage--also a Sale-a-bration item!  The sentiment is from the set Perfectly Penned--it's a nice bold set!

I hope you enjoy the card!  For your next stop, click HERE to see what Tina has come up with!!

Leadership Gifts!

I'm in San Antonio, enjoying the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference!  It's always fun to spend time with friends and "co-workers"!!  I made gifts for the ladies in my downline that attended!  The first is a DVD Tin, with a notebook and calendar inside:

Leadergift1a

and, the other design:

Leadergift1b

Here is the inside:

Leadergift1c

I made the calendars all by myself!!  I was pretty proud! lol!!!  Inside of each, I tucked a small laminate name tag:

Leadergift2

These are for the bags that Stampin' Up! gives us when we check in!  When you have 1500+ ladies carrying the same bag, it's nice to have a tag attached to help you tell yours apart!  The "ribbon" is our new Twitterpated fabric--it's sooooo pretty!!!  I just tore it in strips!

Anyway, I hope the ladies like them!!

P.S.  Check back on Sunday for a cool wristlet/key holder!!

Sweet Cake

Good morning!  Here's a fun card using the Sweet Cake Stamp Set from the Occasions Mini!

Jansas5

I love it!  I was actually inspired by a card I saw on Stampin' Connection (a place for Stampin' Up! demonstrators to share).  I love the way the Sweet Shop Designer Paper echoes the cupcake in the stamped image!  Here's what I used:

Sweet Cake Stamp Set

Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Soft Suede and Whisper White cardstock;  Pool Party and Soft Suede ink; Dazzling Details;  Sweet Cake Designer Paper;  Big Shot;  Labels Framelits

Be sure to check out my class schedule HERE!  I'm adding new classes all the time!

I CASE'd myself!!!

Here's a card we made at the January Stamp-a-Stack--it's  a CASE of the card I posted on Friday.  (see it HERE).

Jansas3

I used the Attic Boutique Designer Paper and Poppy Parade cardstock/ink!  The sentiment is from Upsy Daisy!  Very simple, but I love this layout!!

Have a GREAT day!!!

Saturday Sketch Challenge #238

Good afternoon!!  How's your weekend been so far?  Hope it's been fun!  Why not take some time this weekend and play along with the Saturday Sketch Challenge?  You can see all the measurements for the sketch on the Stamping 411 Blog--be sure to leave a link to your creation there, as well!!

Here's the sketch for this week:

SSC238

Wouldn't the sketch itself make a pretty card?!!

Here's my card:

Ssc238

A very simple card, using the Spotlight technique!  I stamped the image (Packed for Birthday) twice.  Once is left uncolored, and mounted on Basic Black cardstock.  With the other, I punched out a 1 1/4" circle, and then colored that in with my Stampin' Write markers, and mounted it on a 1 3/8" circle of Basic Black.  The yellow layer is a piece of Daffodil Delight from the Brights Patterns Stack.  For the ribbon, I adhered a strip of Real Red Satin Ribbon to the card using Sticky Strip.  Then, took another piece and tied a bow--that's attached with a glue dot!

Please be sure to check out the Operator's inspiration HERE!!  So much talent in that wonderful group of ladies!!

Supplies used:  Packed for Birthday Stamp Set;  Pacific Point, Whisper White and Basic Black cardstock;  Black Stazon Ink Pad;  Pacific Point, Real Red & Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Markers; 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" Circle Punches;  Brights Paper Patterns stack; Real Red Satin Ribbon

Sketch Frenzy Friday!!

Here's the sketch:

SFF011312-001

You know me--I'm all about simple!!  So, this sketch was perfect for me!! LOL!!  Here's my card:

Sff011312

I absolutely LOVE this card!  It's so versatile--you can use any designer paper and coordinating ink/cardstock!  So simple!  The colors for this are Island Indigo and Whisper White.  The paper is Twitterpated Designer Paper.  I tied Whisper White Taffeta ribbon around for a little more balance.  (plus the sketch told me to!! haha!!)  I hope you like it as much as I do!

Now, it's time to continue along our wonderful blog tour!!!  Your next stop is the amazing Tina!

Have a GREAT day!
