TechnoStamper's Lunchtime Sketch!!

Wow!  It's been a long time since I've participated in any challenges!  So, this week I thought I would try MaryJo's sketch again!!  Here's the sketch:

and here's my card:

Tssc206

I used the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set and Twitterpated Designer Paper!  I love the colors in this paper!

The Baja Breeze card base is 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2".  The next layer of Island Indigo is 4" x 5 1/4", followed by the designer paper at 3 7/8" x 5 1/8".   The stamped images were punched out using the 1" square punch, and the layers punche with the 1 1/4" square punch!

The ribbon is Baja Breeze Seam Binding.  I wrapped one piece around the card, then tied another into a bow and attached it with a mini glue dot!

Hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Valentine Treat!

Good morning!!!  Here is one of the projects we'll make on Wednesday evening at my Chicks & Chocolate class!  I used an old button container to hold the chocolates!

And, open:

Chix3a

I used two Hershey Nuggets, and covered with them with the Twitterpated Designer Paper.  The hearts were cut with our awesome Hearts Framelits!   I used the Take it to Heart stamp set for the main image--I stamped the image first, then used the Hearts Framelits to cut it out!  These are sooooo easy to use!

I love this project--hope you do, too!!

Divas Sketch Challenge #173

Can you believe it's already the last Saturday of January?!!  This month has flown by!  This is the last of my sketches for the Utah Divas' International--at least for a few months!

Divasc173sketch

And, look, my card looks almost exactly like the sketch!  I even used the same stamp set!!

Divasc173

Saturday Sketch Challenge #240

Good afternoon!!  It's time for another wonderful sketch over at the Stamping 411 Blog!  I hope you'll play along with us!

Ssc240sketch

Isn't this a pretty sketch!  I don't usually "tilt" anything on my cards, so this was a fun change for me!  Here's my card:

Ssc240

I started with the fun Sweet Shop Designer Paper--love those cupcakes!   Using designer paper makes it easy to choose colors--I used all three found in the cupcake design:  Soft Suede, Pool Party and Calypso Coral!  The sentiment is from Word Play (on of my favs!), and is stamped with Soft Suede Classic Ink.  Look at that ribbon!!!  It's from the Everyday Enchantment collection in the Sale-a-bration brochure, and it's sooooo pretty!!  The brads are from the In Color Designer Printed brads--Calypso Coral.  I like the polka dots, and decided to repeat that pattern by running the soft suede and pool party background pieces through the Big Shot and the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder!  I was really happy with the way this one turned out!  Hope you like it!!

If you would like the measurements, you can find them on the Stamping 411 Blog!  You'll want to head over there anyway to see what the other operators have made!!

Sketch Frenzy Friday!!

Happy Friday!  I hope you're having a great day and wonderful weekend!  This will be  short post--still not feeling so good!  But, thankfully, I had already done my card for this week's sketch before I left for leadership!  woohoo--it pays to be ahead of schedule!

Here's our sketch, by Angela Walters:

and my card:

Sff012712
I used a stamp set I haven't played with in a long time:  For All You Do!  The flower image is actually a square stamp, but I wanted circles, so I stamped it, then punched out with the 1 1/4" circle punch.  The layers are done with the 1 3/8" circle punch.  The color combo is one of my "go to" combos:  Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie.  I think it works well with the flowers, don't you?

Please follow along on the blog hop--your next stop is the HOMEPAGE!

Have a GREAT day!

Leadership!

I've been so busy this week, planning classes, meetings, etc!!  Unfortunately, I have nothing I can show you!!  (yet!)  So, here are some pictures I took at Leadership!  Stampin' Up! does such a great job of providing us with ideas!  I really love this company--it's leaders are "real" people, and they genuinely care about their demonstrators.  It's a great feeling to LOVE your "job"!!!

Another Leadership Gift!

Here's another small gift I made for my direct downline members that attended Leadership--it's a wristlet keychain made with our Twitterpated fabric!!

Leadergift3a

It wasn't too hard to make--and I'm not a very experienced sewer!!!  If you'd like to try them, click HERE for the tutorial!!  The only change I made was to the fusible interfacing--you'll need one that "sticks" on both sides, and the one listed in the tutorial does not.

Anyway, I hope they liked them!!

Divas Sketch Challenge #172

Good morning!!  I'm on my way home from Leadership today--I've learned so much, and can't wait to share with everyone!!  I hope you can all make the Open House next Saturday!!  It's going to be fun!!  It is an open house, so come for just a few minutes, or stay the whole 2 hours! It's completely up to you!!

Today is Saturday, so that means a new sketch over on the UDI Blog!

Divasc172sketch

And, here is my card:

Divasc172

I really like the way this one turned out!!  This color combo:  Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride and Early Espresso, is one of my all-time favorites.  If I'm ever at a loss for a card, I reach for these colors.  And, they didn't let me down this time!  I used the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set (Sale-a-bration starts on Tuesday!!), and stamped randomly for the background.  Then, stamped the square with Blushing Bride and punched it out with the Postage Punch.  I added an eyelet from the Neutrals Collection, then layered this onto an punched square of Early Espresso.  The sentiment is from Sweetly Said, and the banner was cut out using the Big Shot and Petal Cone Die.  I cut first, then stamped the sentiment.  I also used the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder for the card base, and added some Blushing Bride ribbon!  Fairly simple, but very pretty, if I do say so myself!! LOL!!

I can't wait to see what the rest of the team did with this sketch--check them out HERE!!
