Divas Sketch Challenge #169

Happy New Year's Eve!!  Please be careful tonight if you're out and about!!

Our last sketch for December was a beauty!  Thanks, Adriana, for a great month of sketches!!

Divasc169+dec31

This was was so fun--I could think of a million shapes or images to use!  The trick was to get them all lined up!!  I used my wonderful Stamp-a-ma-jig to help me!! (still not perfect though! LOL!)

Divasc169

I started with Pool Party cardstock, and stamped with Early Espresso ink.  The stamp is from the upcoming Sale-a-bration brochure!  (Sale-a-bration starts Jan 24!!).  It's called Fresh Vintage--very cute set!  The sentiment can be found in the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.  I stamped it on pool party, then punched it out with the oval punch.  The scalloped oval is Early Espresso, and I layered that over Early Espresso Quilted ribbon!  Very simple card!!

Please check out the team's creations on the UDI Blog!!

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!

I love, love, love this new designer paper!!!  It's called Twitterpated, and it's in the upcoming Occasions Mini catalog!  The colors are so much fun!  I used Riding Hood Red and Baja Breese for this card, along with the new Blushing Bride Pleated ribbon!  So pretty!!  Fro the sentiment, I used Teeny Tiny Wishes, and the word window punch!  Very simpel card, but pretty!  That designer paper does all the work for you!!

For the measurements, and to play along, please head on over to the Stamping 411 blog!!  And, you'll get to see all the other operators cards--GORGEOUS!!

Sketch Frenzy Friday!!

Good morning!! We have a fun sketch for you today--the last Friday of 2011!!  It's brought to us by my friend, Sharon:

Sff123011sketch

and my card:

Sff123011

I went back to an old favorite, Just Believe, for this card!  It's such a versatile set!  I used my Pool Party and Calypso Coral Stampin' Write Markers to color directly on the rubber of my main image--then, give it a huff and stamp!  I pooled the colors from the Everyday Enchantment Designer Paper--isn't it pretty?!!  And, starting January 24th, you can earn it FREE with a $50 order!!

As always, please continue on our mini blog hop by hopping over to Tina's blog!  Enjoy your day, and be safe this weekend!!

My Digital Studio!

I might have shared this with you already, but here I go again!  This is the Christmas card we sent out this year--I created it in My Digital Studio:

Christmas11a-001

It was so easy--the card was a template, and I just filled in the pictures!  I did add some text to each, so everyone would know where it was taken!

Aren't my boys cute?!!

Another great sketch from Adriana!!

Divasc168+dec24

She threw me for a loop when she said "shaped card"!!!  But, I did it!

Divasc168

I did turn the sektch on it's side though!  I used the Labels Collection Framelits to make my card.  Love these new framelits--can't wait to share them with you in January!!  All four layers of my card were cut with the framelits--dont' they all fit together beautifully?!!  The designer paper is called Twitterpated, and it's so pretty!  Great colors and patterns!  For the main image, I stamped using the Apothecary Art stamp set--it's designed to work perfectly with the Labels Framelits!  These make it easy to stamp and then cut out your image!  Colors are Riding Hood Red and Whisper White!

Please head on over to the UDI Blog and see the other designers' work!!  They'll blow you away!!

Saturday Sketch Challenge #235

I'm so excited--my Dad is here from Texas to spend the holidays with us!  The boys love having their Grandpa here!  So, this will be a quick post--have to go enjoy him while I can! :-)

Here is today's sketch:

SSC_235

and, my card:

Ssc235

I made this card a couple of weeks ago.  My brother-in-law lost his father, so I wanted them to know we were thinking of them.  He was a great man, and will be missed.

The card base is Island Indigo--haven't used this color very much, but it matches our new designer paper, Twitterpated, so I pulled it out!  It's so pretty!  The sentiment is from a set called Blessings from Heaven.  For the oval, I used three pearls--the big one will be available in the Occasions Mini--isn't it great?!!

Supplies used:

Blessings from Heaven stamp set;  Twitterpated Designer Paper;  Island Indigo & Whisper White Cardstock;  Island Indigo Classic Ink;  large and scallop oval punches;  Pearls;  5/8" Organza Ribbon

You can find the measurements, along with the Operator's inspiration, on the Stamping 411 Blog!!  Go be inspired, then come play along with us!

Delightful Decorations!

Here's a fun card that is sooooo easy to make:

Ccnove3

Punch two ornaments from designer paper (I used Frostwood Lodge)  Adhere these to a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Stamp your sentiment, and draw on your strings for the ornaments.  You can also use the stamp from Tree Trimmings, if you have it!  I do think it's easier to just draw it on!   Now, put your whisper white cardstock in your Snowburst Embossing folder, and send her through the Big Shot!!  I love the way it makes the ornaments look "worn"!!  Now, adhere this to a piece of Marina Mist.  Tie your Cherry Cobbler quilted ribbon around, then adhere to your Cherry Cobbler card!

Here are the measurements:

Cherry Cobbler:  8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4:

Marina Mist:  5 1/4" x 4"

Whisper White:  5 1/8"  x 3 7/8"

Have a great day!!

One Last Fall Card............

Good morning!  I found this card the other day--we made it back in November at my Card Club!

Ccnov4
Isn't this pretty?  I CASE'd this from someone, but can't remmber now!  (so, if this is your card, please let me know!!)  I used Kraft cardstock for my base.  The strips of Spice Cake designer paper were adhered to a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment with Soft Suede ink.  Then, the very vanilla piece was layered onto the Soft Suede cardstock.  I also used the Ruffled Ribbon in Pool Party, and added an Antique Brad!  Very simple card--and you could use this layout with any of our designer papers!

Have a great Sunday!!
