Saturday Sketch challenge #231

Good afternoon!!  It's time for another Saturday Sketch Challenge over at the Stamping 411 Blog!!  How fun is this sketch?!!

SSC231

I went with a bling theme!!!

Ssc231

Isn't that Silver Glimmer paper GORGEOUS?!!  I love it!!  Didn't need much else for this card! haha!  I used the greeting from Christmas Greetings for the sentiment--stamped it in Night of Navy ink, then punched out with the Decorative Label Punch!  For the layered look, simply punch a label out of Night of Navy, then cut in half horizontally--and adhere to the back!  I looped a piece of white organza ribbon, and attached it behind my sentiment.  For the base of the card, I used Night of Navy cardstock--4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2".  I then added a piece of Night of Navy (4" x 5 1/4"), that had been run through the big shot with the Snowburst embossing folder!  A very simple card, but soooo sparkly!! :-)

Be sure and check out the rest of the team on the Stamping 411 Blog!!!

Here's our sketch for today:

Divasc163sketch

When I first saw this, I though "party hat"!!  But, when I sat down, I saw the silver glimmer paper, and this is what came up with:

Divasc163

A Santa Hat!!!  I used the Perfect Pennants Die for the red, then embossed it with Snowburst embossing folder.  The rest is the Silver Glimmer paper--so shiny!  The "ho ho ho" is handwritten--I couldn't find a sentiment I liked, so I wrote it!!  I'm a genius, I know! LOL!!

Be sure and check out the rest of the team--you can find the links HERE!!

and, my creation:

Sff111811

I am having so much fun with the Glimmer Paper!!  It's so sparkly!!  I used the Red and Silver on this card!  It's a pretty simple card--the Bashful Blue card base was embossed with the Big Shot and Snowburst Embossing Folder.  The sentiment is from "It's Your Birthday"!  The snowflake was cut with the Northern Flurry Die.

Be sure you continue along the tour!  Your next stop is the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog!!

Happy Wednesday!

Here are a few more cards from my Card Club meeting!  I'm sorry--no time to list supplies/measurements this morning, but if you need something, please email me!!

Don't you just love Lovely As A Tree?!!  One of my all-time favs!!

Ccnov6

Love the sparkly Silver Glimmer paper!

I love this embossing technique--you stamp and adhere the items first, then send the whole thing through your Big Shot and your choice of embossing folders!

Ccnov4

This one was case'd from Jill--isn't it pretty!!  You can see her card HERE!

Oh, and I received my advance copy of the Occasions Mini Catalog--WOW!  I can't wait to show you!  It's starts in January!!  Some advice--if you don't already have the Big Shot, put it on your Christmas list!!  You'll definitely want one when you see all the new dies and such in the new mini!!
