Divas Sketch Challenge #160

Woohoo!!  It's the weekend!!  My 25 & Counting Class is this morning--that was alot of cutting!!  But, I think the ladies are really going to like the end product!!

As you know, Saturday means sketch challenge!!  Here's our last sketch for October:

DSC160

and my card:

Divasc160

I pulled out one of my favorite holiday sets, Serene Snowflakes!  And, a fun color combo:  Real Red, Old Olive and Marina Mist!  A little untraditional, but not too off the wall!!  The sentiment is from Curly Cute--such a fun set!  I love the font it uses!!  That's it--a very simple card, but I really do like it!  Hope you do, too!!

Be sure you check out the rest of the team--you can find the links on the UDI Blog!!

Stamping 411!!

Happy Friday Afternoon!!  I'm all set up and ready for my 25 and Counting class tomorrow!  Now to get ready for Game 7!!  I really hope the Rangers can pull it off!!  It would be so much fun to see them win their very first World Series!!  It should be a great game!!!

Now, onto our fun sketch for today!!

SSC227

You probably expected a Halloween card, right?  Not sure why I went with this one!  LOL!!  I really love this designer paper--Holly Berry Bouquet!  And, I came across this "old" set--it's been neglected!   Perfect Punches is a great set, and so easy to use!  I stamped the image twice--once in Real Red, and once in Garden Green.  The Real Red image was punched out with the Scallop Circle punch, then the Garden Green image was punched with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch.  I layered them with Stampin' Dimensionals to give it some dimension.  Then, for some sparkle, I added some rhinestones all around the red image!  for the "ribbon", I used a strip of Garden Green cardstock, layered with a strip of Silver Glimmer paper--it was cut out using the Big Shot and Tasteful Trim Die!

Be sure you check out the Operators at the Stamping 411 Blog!!  And, then, play along with us!!  It's so much fun to see all the GREAT ideas each week!  It's amazing how many different cards come out of just one sketch!

Have a GREAT weekend!!

Sketch Frenzy Friday!

Hi all, and welcome to Friday!!  We have a fun sketch today brought to you by ME! :-)

SFF102811sketch

Here's what I came up with:

Sff102811

Very little stamping--just the main image!  and, it's done with Wicked Cool and Peach Parfait and Black Stazon ink!  simple, simple!  The other two "side" panels are actually cut out from one of the designs from the Pick Your Poison Designer Paper!  I just punched them out with my 1 1/4" square punch!!  I can't believe Halloween is almost here!  I've really enjoyed stamping for Halloween!

Please hop on over to Tina's blog now and see what she created with this sketch!!

Pennant Parade Set Sampler!

On the  Stamping 411 blog, the operators take turns posting on Thursdays--just whatever they want to share!!  Today was my first post on "Whatever Thursday"!!  I decided to do a Set Sampler--to show you many ways to use one stamp set!!  Today's set is Pennant Parade!  If you have other sets you'd like to see, please leave me a comment, and I'll give it a try!

This first card shows you a card you might expect from this set:

Yes, it's a birthday card, using the pennant stamp as......pennants!! This is very easy to do with the coordinating Petite Pennants Builder Punch!

Look, you can use this same stamp as a Christmas tree:

Just turn it upside down!! And, I colored in the garland with a Riding Hood Red Stampin' Write Marker.

In keeping with the "upside down" theme, here are some fun ice cream cones:

The ice cream scoops are 1 3/4" circles! I punched a template from a window sheet, then sponged in with Pretty in Pink ink! Wouldn't this make a sweet card for a little girl?!

Now, this card is just wild!!! LOL!!! I used the same stamp from the previous card, and created a back ground!!I started with Not Quite Navy ink, and stamped a row of the pennants. I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure they were somewhat straight! I continued all the way down with the Not Quite Navy pennants, then came back and "filled in" with the Cajun Craze Pennants! Would make a fun card for a special guy's birthday!!

I hope you enjoy the Set Sampler!! We'll see you tomorrow for another great sketch challenge!!

Stampin' Queens Sketch -- Week 10!

Good morning, and Happy Wednesday!!  Today's card is a simple one, based on the Stampin' Queens' Week #10 Sketch:

SQSC-10-001

and my card:

Sqsc10

I did flip the sketch--I didn't want to cover up the chandelier!  This paper is from the Pick Your Poison Designer Paper--I love that's it's all done for me!! :-)  I just cut it out and adhered it to my Peach Parfait card base!!

I added a little Very Vanilla Ribbon--sponged with Black Stazon ink.  Then, my sentiment, from Wicked Cool!

I told you it was simple! :-)

Be sure to check out the rest of the team's designs HERE!  Then, play along with us!!!

Thanks............

Good morning!!  Here is a card I starteed to make for my swap at Regionals!  But, I decided against it when I couldn't get the words to line up straight!!!  It really isn't that hard, but when you wait until the last minute--it's really hard to do in a hurry!!  :-)

This was made with the #2 Box and Big Shot.  I  sponged and masked onto a strip of whisper white, then attached that to the box (pacific point).  Colors are Pacific Point, Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie.  I used the 1 3/8" circle punch to make my template and masks!

This card seemed to be everyone's favorite.  I used Bashful Blue and Marina Mist for the 1 3/4" Circles.  The snowflakes are stamped with Night of Navy ink!  Snow Swirled is the stamp set!
