Great News!

Hi!!  We finally restored my computer--it took FOUR days!!  I'm still working on installing all the programs and such, but so glad to be on my own laptop!!  I hope to have more to share with you soon!!!

Divas Sketch Challenge #138

Good morning!!  We have a great sketch for you today!  You can check it out on the UDI Blog!!

Here's my card:

Divasc138

I love this stamp set!!  I think it's great to have more masculine sets to choose from!  The summer mini definitely offers several choices, including this one--Best Dad Ever!!

Colors used are Soft Suede, Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake.  I used markers to color the ties--I colored right onto the rubber, then gave it a big "huff" and stamped!  The background designer paper is called Elegant Soiree--it doesn't sound masculine, does it?  But, the colors work perfectly for all those "manly" cards you need!!  I also used my Big Shot to add some texture to the Soft Suede panel--I ran it through using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder!

I hope you enjoy our little blog hop today!  Your next stop is Adriana -- she always has something pretty for us!!

I really enjoyed working with this sketch!  I used the new Flower Fest stamp set in the Summer Mini catalog!  It's really a cute set--and, even though I didn't use them here, several of the stamps have coordinating punches!  The sentiment comes from the Level One hostess set in the Summer Mini!

Supplies used:

Flower Fest and Swirls & Curls Verses Stamp Sets

Ink:  Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz and Blushing Bride Classic Ink Pad

Cardstock:  Pear Pizzazz, Concord Crush, Blushing Bride and Whisper White

Punches:  1 3/8" and Scallop Circle

Misc:  Big Shot, 3" and 3 1/2" Circle Dies;  Pearls

Please hop on over to Tina's Blog and see what she has created!!

Have a GREAT day!

Club orders are in!!!

Good morning!!  I just wanted to let all my clubs know that the orders are here, and ready for pick up!!!  My hard drive crashed, so I do not have access to emails, contact lists, etc!  I can check my email, I just have noone's email saved!!

Stamping 411 & Color Lab!!

I had some time to stamp this weekend, and made this card for two challenges!  The sketch is from the Stamping 411 blog, and the colors came from the Color Lab challenge!

And, here's the card:

Ssc204

I started by pulling out the Level One hostess item: the In Color Designer Series Paper pack!  I used the three colors from the color challenge:  Concord Crush, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz!  I used thsoe same color Stampin' Write Markers to "color" the rubber of my flower stamp (from the Love & Care stamp set).  It's hard to see, but I colored the entire flower (not the stem) with Blushing Bride, then I used the Concord Crush marker to had some highlights along the edges of the petals.  The sentiment is from the Best Dad Ever stamp set--I like the font!

Hope you like it!!

Have a GREAT day!

CASual Fridays #3 Challenge

Hi!! I am using my son's laptop now, and apologize in advance if my pics aren't great!  I don't have access to my regular photo editing software!  But, I've actually been stamping some, and I really wanted to share with you!!  We did find out that there's something wrong with my hard drive (not good!!), but we have a warranty, so it will be replaced at no charge!!  woohoo!!  Of course, it's going to take a couple of weeks!!  So, please bear with me!! :-)

This card was made for the CASual Friday's #3 Challenge!  The challenge is to use bling on your clean & simple design!

And, here is my card:

CFC#3

I used the Artistic Etchings Stamp Set, along with Rhinestones and Red Satin Ribbon!!  Colors used are Real Red, Basic Gray and Basic Black.  Very simple!!  What do you think?

Hope you're all having a GREAT day!!!

Laptop is sick...

Good morning!  In case you're wondering where I've been, I'm fine!  BUT, my laptop is not!  She's away at the "doctor", hopefully getting fixed!!!  I'm borrowing my son's computer right now, but unfortunately, all my card pics are on my computer.  I will post as soon as I can!!!  In the meantime, enjoy your weekend!!!

Another Layout (6x6)

Good morning!  Here's the last layout we did with my Scrapbooking Club!

Scmay2

Colors for this one are Peach Parfait and Whisper White!   I used the Designer Series Paper Pack (In color).  It's one of the Level One Hostess choices!  The flowers were punched with the wonderful new Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch!  These punches are soooo much fun!  The "banner" at the bottom was left blank on purpose--so they can add their own title or journaling!

The new Scrapbook Club will start up again in August, and run through May 2012.  Here are the meeting dates (all Sundays @ 2pm):  (We'll make two 2-page, 8x8 spreads each month)

August 7

September 11

October 2

November 6

February 5

March 4

April 15

May 6

If you're interested in joining the next round, email me and I'll let you know the available hostess months!  Don't worry--it's just the month that you'll get all the FREE stuff!  You don't have to have the meeting at your house! :-)  All meetings are here in my stamp studio!

Have a GREAT day!

Graduation Gifts!

Hi!!  I wanted to share with you some fun money holders I made for all the high school graduates we know!

005

These were made for the kids graduating from our high school--and their colors are Platinum, Black and White.  I made the front piece using Silver and Basic Black cardstock.  The numbers and the "banner" were cut out using my Big Shot and dies.  I attached the "banner" (vellum) with two black glimmer brads.  It's attached to the silver band only, and it slides off so you can open the card!  I also made a few without the belly band, and just tied Black ribbon around to hold it closed.  Here's the inside:

007

Pretty basic!!  We wrote inside with a silver gel pen, and then added the cashola!!

Here's one for another high school--their colors are a goldish color and brown.  I think More Mustard and Chocolate Chip were a perfect match!

002

Measurements for these are:

8 1/2" x 10", scored along the 10" side at 2" and 6".  Just punch a half circle, then adhere the sides with sticky strip to form the pocket!  Decorate the outside!!  This is large enough to hold bills.  You can adjust the width to fit whatever you'd like.

Have a GREAT day!!

Stamping 411 Sketch!

Good morning!!  I have lots to share with you this week!  I'm so excited--had lots of time to stamp this week!  My clubs all met this weekend, and we have one more tonight--so, I have all those projects to share with  you!  I also made some fun money holders--I'll share those this week, too!  So, be sure and visit each morning--you don't want to miss anything!!

My first share this Monday morning is a card I made for the Stamping 411 sketch challenge!  I love this blog, and always save the sketch, but haven't been able to get one done in awhile!  So, I made sure to do it yesterday!  This is one of the cards we'll be making tonight!

Ccmay2

I started with a Peach Parfait card base.  I tried just embossing the front of the card, but it was too plain.  So, I cut another Peach Parfait layer (5 1/8 x 3 7/8) and ran it through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.  When I put than on the Peach card base, it was still missing something!  So, I added the Whisper White layer (5 1/4 x 4) under it--love it!  The Concord Crush scalloped square was cut out using the Big Shot and Scallop Square Duo Die.  I then added a 2 3/8" square of Pear Pizzazz.  The white squares are punched out using the new Postage Punch--LOVE it!!  Oh--I almost forgot--for the sentiment, be sure to stamp FIRST, then punch out!  It's much easier to punch straight than it is to stamp straight!! :-)

For the flowers, I used the new Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch.  The paper is from the Hostess Level I Paper pack--I used Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz and Concord Crush.  I punched the centers of the flower using the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, then attached the Itty Bitty Buttons with a glPublishue dot!  Oh--and the twine is from the summer mini--the new Baker's Twine in Whisper White!  I love how you can "fray" the ends after you've tied it!

I tied a strip of Pear Pizzazz Ribbon around the front of the card, then attached the scalloped square piece with Stampin' Dimensionals.  As the final touch, there are three Pearls in the corner!

Hope you enjoy the card!  I'll "talk" to you tomorrow!! Have a GREAT day!
