Happy Saturday!!!  It's going to be a busy weekend--all good though!!!  Today is my downline shoebox swap--always enjoy the ladies!!  Then on to a baseball game--can't wait!  Love to watch my son play!!  Sunday is a Stamp-a-Stack--and I have a group of new ladies that I can't wait to meet!!  So, all in all, it's going to be a great two days!!

But, before I head out, here is my card for the Divas' Sketch Challenge!  Okay, first the sketch:

Divas129sketch

A "wow" sketch for sure!!!  My first thought was to use ink for the "rays", but then I went with the Scallop Circle Die:

Divasc129

So, what do you think?  I love the way it turned out!  No, it's not exactly true to the sketch, but sketches are for inspiration, right?!  I double-dog dare you to try this one!!  We're working on getting a Mr. Linky up on the UDI Blog, but until it's up, just leave me a comment with a link to your creation!!

I also used the Color Throwdown Challenge--you know me--I can't seem to choose my own colors!! haha!!

Sketch Frenzy Friday!

Howdy!!!  It's time for another Sketch Frenzy challenge!!  Our sketch today was brought to us by Jennifer Weide!  I loved working with it, and will save it for future reference!  Sketches are a great way to get your mojo going!

For this card, I combined the sketch with two other challenges:

Colorroundup

the Color Round Up, and a challenge at Just Add Ink to use nothing but stamps and cardstock!

and, here's the card:

Sff032511

I used the Plane & Simple Stamp Set for this one--I love having a great masculine set!  (wait until you see the one in the upcoming Summer mini!!!).  For the sentiment, I stamped onto a piece of scrap cardstock, then punched out using my Modern Label Punch.

We're making this card on Sunday at my Stamp-a-Stack--hope the ladies like it!!  This class is full, but I have another coming in April--click HERE for all the details!!  These stamp-a-stacks fill up FAST, so register early!

Have a GREAT day!!

Milk Carton for You

Good morning!  Today's share is a project I did especially for Brenda, one of my March hostesses.  She requested that I show something with the Milk Carton die, so here's what I came up with:

Marchwksp1

I used the Clearly for You stamp set.  We received this set FREE at our Leadership Conference in January.  I was so glad--it wasn't a set I probably would have purchased, but I LOVE it!!!  It's so easy to work with!!

The project is pretty self-explanatory--except the ribbon.  I actually stapled it to the top of the milk carton!!   That accomplished two things--it held the ribbon in place, and it held the milk carton closed!!

Colors used:  Not Quite Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Early Espresso.

Have a GREAT day!!  Be sure to check out my April classes--they're filling fast!!

Happy Easter!!

Good morning!!  It's a beautiful morning here--watching the sun come up over the Sandias!  And, no wind........yet!  haha!!

Here's a sweet card that we've been making at my March workshops.  All the guests get to make 2 projects at my workshops--they always enjoy this part, and I love to see new stampers as they make their first creation!!

On to the card:

Easter

Of course, I used my favorite Easter set--Easter Blossoms!  I just think that little girl is sooooo cute!  This is a pretty simple card--just stamping and layering!  Colors are Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip--a timeless color combo!  The ribbon is done by simply twisting it as you lay it down onto a strip of Sticky Strip!  Easy peasy!

Would you like to host a workshop in April?  I've still got a few dates open--call me or drop me an email, and we'll get yours scheduled!!  They are giving away a special stamp set and pack of designer paper to all hostesses with $350 or more in sales at their workshop!  They are sneek peak items from the upcoming Catalog and Idea Book (coming July 1!!)   I'll have some samples to show you soon!

Have a great day!!!

Inlaid Embossing

Good morning, and Happy Tuesday!  Any plans for today?  I'm getting all the final touches done for my Greenhouse Gala Class tonight!  So excited about it!!

I had a couple of workshops over the weekend, and this is one of the cards we made!

Marchwksp3

I used my Circles #2 Die (or any of the circle punches!) and punched out several circles in coordinating colors.  (I used pacific point, daffodil delight, melon mambo and old olive).  Then, adhere them to the white cardstock (you can use any color, but I think white makes the shapes pop!)  Now, take this piece and run it through your Big Shot with any embossing folder!  The Square Lattice Die adds alot of texture, and is my favorite for this technique.

Now, just finish up your card!  I layered the white on Melon Mambo, then a Pacific Point card base!  Oh, I almost forgot--I used the ribbon from the Ice Cream Parlor suite in the Sale-a-bration catalog!  You can earn this FREE with a $50 order!  But, HURRY--Sale-a-bration ends March 31!!!  That's only 9 days!!  HURRY!!!!

You can see the catalog HERE, then click on the "Shop Now" button to place your order online!  Or, give me a call, and I can place the order for you!!

Have a great day!!
