I used the Seeing Stars Stamp set, and my colors came from the Color Q Challenge this week!

Cqc73

These were fun colors to work with!!  Although I did make some substitutions:  Marina Mist instead of Brocade Blue, and Pacific Point instead of Brilliant Blue!

Other supplies used:  Big Shot, Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Rhinestones

Have a GREAT day!  Please continue on our little blog hop, and hop on over to Carol's blog!!

Paper Players Sketch!

Happy Thursday!!  It's a busy day here in our household--well, at least for me!  Gym, orthodontist, Character Counts awards, orchestra concert!!  whew--I'm tired just thinking about it!! :-)  So, I'm posting early for your viewing pleasure!!

Today's card is based on the sketch over at The Paper Player's blog!

February Sketch Challenge 35

This sketch really caught my eye--I thought it would be fun to work with!  And, it was!  Here's my card:

Ppc#35

The card is a "weird" size--it's 4 x 8 1/2, when closed.  It will fit in a business-sized envelope!  And, for fun, I used the Jolly Holiday Designer Paper!!  I have so much left over after the holidays, and these prints are really holiday themed!  What do you think?  Does it look like a Christmas card?  I hope not!    How do you like my little birthday banner--it was cut using the Petal Cone Die!!  That might be my favorite part of the die!  For the stamped images, I used an old favorite, Vintage Vogue.  Colors are Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight.  Not sure I'm crazy about the Daffodil Delight--what do you think?  It needed a third color, but I couldn't decide.  I pulled out my Color Coach, and it was listed under Cherry Cobbler!!  So, it's not really my fault!! haha!

Hope you have a wonderful day!!  I'll see ya again tomorrow!

Diva Coffee Break Designs #216

Good morning!  Today's challenge is a color challenge:

Dcbd216c
Aren't these pretty together?!!  They were so easy to work with!

Dcbd216

I used the Eastern Blossoms stamp set for my card.  I love the silhouette image of the little girl--so sweet!  I also used the branch in the bottom right hand corner.  Both were stamped with Blushing Bride Classic Ink.

The Early Espresso band was embossed using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder and my Big Shot!  I then put a strip of Sticky Strip on top, and scrunched up my Rose Red Seam Binding as I attached it.  I like the uneven look of it!  And, I added some pearls along the ribbon, as well as on the corners of my main image.  I love this card!  Hope you do, too!!

Please take a look at the rest of the design team's creations HERE!  And, then, play along with us!!

Bliss

Happy Tuesday!!  How are you all doing?  All is well here in the sunny southwest--it's even warm this week!  I love the warm sunshine!!!

Today's card was inspired by the weekly sketch challenge over at SUDSOL (a website for Stampin' Up! demonstrators)  It uses the Sale-a-bration set, Bliss, along with the Botanical Gazette Designer Paper, found in the Occasions Mini Catalog!

009

Colors used are Not Quite Navy, Pear Pizzazz and Early Espresso--all taken right from the designer paper!  And, I even stamped the inside of the card:

012

We'll be making this card at my Sale-a-bration Stamp-a-stack on Sunday!  This class is full, but I have another coming in March!  Click HERE for all the details!!  These classes do fill up fast, so register early!!

Have a great day and a wonderful week!

Sweet & Simple Friends

Hi!!  When I saw the Stacy's Color Challenge this morning, I knew I had to try it!  I love bright colors, and this combo reminded me of spring!  And, you know I can't seem to come up with my own layouts, so I used Karen's Sweetest Sunday Sketch!  I think she made this one just for me--so clean and simple!  I loved it!

So, enough talk, here's the card:

006

I used the Scalloped Square Duos Die for the background, and the 3" Circle and #2 Circles Dies for the main image!  I love my Big Shot!! :-)

The stamp set is Friends Never Fade--and, it's stamped in Tangerine Tango ink!  I used some pretty rhinestones along the sides of the stamped image, and there is also dazzling diamonds glitter in the center of the flower!  Love sparkly!!!

Have a great day!!!

Scrapbook Club!!

Good morning!  Today, I have to scrapbook layouts to share with you!  Both are 6x6--an easy size to work with if you're just starting out, or moving from cards to scrapbooking!

Scrapfeb2

These are my boys!  We went to Denver for a family vacation this past summer, and that's where the pics were taken!  The ones on the right page are cut down to 2" x 4", and are just placed side by side, with no borders.  I like the effect!!

Supplies used:  Big Shot, Scalloped heart of hearts embosslit, Billboard Sizzlit, Scallop Border Punch, Small hart punch, Whisper White cardstock, Going Gray Textured cardstock, Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack

Scrapfeb1

This is a fun page done with scraps of designer paper!!  I just used different lengths and widths and layered them!  I used Love Letter Designer Paper for this one. I used the same "layout" for each page, but flipped it for the second one!

Supplies used:  Big Shot, scallop circle die, Circles #2 die, 1 3/4" circle punch, Very Vanilla & Basic Black Satin Ribbon, Artistic Etchings stamp set, Riding Hood Red and Black stazon Ink;  Riding Hood Red, Basic Black and Very Vanilla Cardstock

Hope you enjoy them!!  Don't forget to sign up for some classes!!  Click HERE to see my schedule!!
