Diva Coffee Break Designs #202!!

Good morning!!! I hope this finds you all wonderful!! I'm sorry for not posting yesterday, but I came down with a migraine--ugh!  All better now though, so no worries!  Still trying to figure out what brings them on!!  Oh well, probably just a age thing right now!

Enough of that!! haha!!  Here's the color challenge for the Divas this morning:

DCBD COLOR CHALLENGES202

Aren't they gorgeous?!!  I wasn't too sure when Heidi first send them to us, but I love this combo!!  That's probably why she's in charge!! haha!!  Here's my card:

I used an old favorite, Lovely as a Tree for this one!  And, the "grateful" is from the Falling Leaves stamp set.  The brads are the fun, fun, fun glitter brads found in the Holiday Mini!  These are from the In Color collection.  Other items used on this card:  big shot, square lattice embossing folder and the Modern Label punch!

I used Mary Jo's Lunchtime sketch for this layout!  I can't tell you how many times the sketches have saved me!  Sometimes when the mojo isn't flowing, a sketch is all you need to get started!  So, big thanks to Mary Jo and all the other wonderful ladies that offer up these sketch challenges!!

Have a GREAT day!

Divasc108

I love this card!!!  It's made with the A Cute Christmas Stamp Set and the coordinating designer paper, Candy Cane Christmas.  Colors are Real Red, Blushing Bride and White!  I used the Northern Flurry Embossing folder for the Blushing Bride circle to add some texture!

Now, hop on over to Tiffany's Blog!!!

Have a great day!!

Welcome to my Castle!

Welcome, one and all, to my Castle on the Cherry Cobbler Path of the Royal Blog Tour!  I'm so excited to be a part of this wonderful journey you've embarked upon!

I chose to highlight the wonderful stamp set, Season of Friendship!  It's a very versatile stamp set that can be used for any season!

The first card is for the Holidays!  I adore snowflakes, and love this card!

RBT2

I used Early Espresso and Pacific Point--gorgeous togther, aren't they?  I stamped the tree first, then the snowfalkes all over!  I then used my versarmark, and "smushed" it all over the white cardstock--making sure there were no blank spots!  Then, I covered it in Irridescent Ice Embossing Powder!  Once heated, it really shines!  A fun, sparkly card!!  To continue the sparkles, I also used one of the Glimmer Brads from the Basics collection.  Here's a close up:

RBT2a

For my second card, I wanted to leave out the main tree image, and just use the smaller stamps:

RBT3

Again, a very simple card, but I love it!  Colors used are Old Olive, Real Red, Marina Mist and Daffodil Delight.  I think the ribbon just "makes" this card:

RBT3a

It's just three layers of ribbon (Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight & Real Red), but doesn't it look nice?

For my third project, I made a fun calendar!  Very easy to do:

RBT1

I used the mini CD case for the stand.  Old Olive is the base of the calendar, then layered on Naturals White.  I stamped with Early Espresso, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight.  The calendar itself is layered on a piece of Early Espresso, and the sentiment is stamped onto Daffodil Delight!

I hope you've enjoyed your stay at my castle!  Please let me know what you think!  Enjoy the rest of your journey!

Sudsol Holiday Blog Tour!!

Good morning, and welcome to my stop on the SUDSOL Holiday Blog Tour!!  Are you enjoying the projects so far?  This is just a small taste of all the ideas found in the SUDSOL Gallery!!  We have weekly challenges, an awesome Design Team (with exclusive designs just for us!), and patterns WITH instructions!!  It's an awesome for ideas you can't find anywhere else!!  I've been a member for 10 years, and I don't think I'll ever leave!

The theme for this tour is Holidays!  Well, I've been so busy stamping for upcoming craft fairs that I needed a break from Christmas!! :-)  So, I chose to highlight Valentine's Day!

Sudsblogtour2

This card showcases our new Letterpress Plates found in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  I used the Lots of Love plate for the main image, as well as the background.  For the "Love", I used Real Red Craft Ink, applied directly to the plate.  And, for the background, I used the plate without ink--I just wanted the de-bossing effect!

And, here's another card--this one used the coordinating stamp set, Filled with Love.

Sudsblogtour1

Do you recognize the Black Swirl?  It's from the Halloween collection in the Holiday Mini!!  They are the Designer Jewels, Black Flourish!  So pretty, and so easy to apply!!  I really think it adds just the right amount of bling!!  (and, since I didn't use it for Halloween, I was so happy to be able to use it now!)

One last project, this time a sweet one:

Sudsblogtour3
This was made with our Matchbox Die and Big Shot!!  (I LOVE my Big Shot!!!).  I added a band around, with the Heart attached.  And, do you see the bling on the little heart?!  To coordinate, I added a strip of the Designer Jewels to the ribbon on the band.  Here it is opened:

Sudsblogtour3c

I covered four Hershey Nuggets with the Play Date Designer Paper.  It's also used for the outside of the Matchbox.  I also stamped on each nugget, using the small heart and "be my valentine" from the Filled with Love stamp set.

So, what do you think?  Will you be my valentine?!!  :-)
