Now, on with the Sketch Frenzy blog hop!!  Your next stop is Tina's blog!  Have fun!!

I'll be at Cibola High School tomorrow from 9am to 3pm!  Come and say hello!!!

Northern Flurry!

Melclass5

Good morning!!  I love this time of year, and all the holiday cards!!!  Snowflakes are probably my favorite!!  And, this Northern Flurry Embossing folder is definitely well-used!! :-)  I used the Vanilla Mist on this card, but it's hard to see in the photo--it's a very subtle sparkle!  The stamped snowflakes are from the Level I hostess set, Northern Hearts.  They coordinate perfectly with the embossed snowflakes!  The ribbon is Marina Mist Taffeta Ribbon.  Oh, and the other colors are Real Red and Crumb Cake!!

I even stamped the inside of the card--something I don't do very often:

Have a wonderful day!!  Don't forget to stop by Cibola High School on Saturday!  I 'd love to see you!

We had a fun sketch challenge over at the Divas' Coffee Break Design Team!

Dcbd203

I cheated, and used squares instead of the circles!

I love this stamp set!  I just got it a week or two ago, and I'm having such fun with it!!  It's called Falling Leaves!  Aren't they cute?!!

Supplies used:

Not Quite Navy, More Mustard & Cajun Craze Cardstock and Classic Ink Pads

1 1/4" & 1 3/8" square punches

Have a wonderful day!

Thanksgiving

I love fall and Thanksgiving!  But, I've been so busy with Christmas and craft fairs, I feel like I almost missed it!! haha!!  Anyway, I had a card class on Saturday (thanks, Melissa!!), and here is one of the cards we made:

Melclass2

I used the Falling Leaves Stamp Set--isn't it cute?!!  I love it!  I stamped using the Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait and Concord Crush Classic Ink pads.  The two bigger leaves were cut using the Leaves #2 Die and Big Shot.  Once I cut them out, I embossed them using the Square Lattice embossing folder!  Love the texture!!

If you would like to gather your friends together and make some cards, give me a call!!!  I love doing these classes--and, we can do them at your house, or mine!!  I charge $20 a person fro 8 cards, and as hostess, (with six guests) you'll get your class FREE!!

Have a GREAT day!

Divas Sketch Challenge #109

Happy Saturday!! It's club weekend for me, along with a class at Melissa's house! Fun, fun, fun!! I love these weekends!! and, as you know, Saturday means the Divas' Sketch Challenge over at Utah Divas International! This was a fun one today--the idea came to me right away, and came out almost exactly as I pictured in my little brain!  That doesn't happen too often for me!!

Divasc109

I used the Circles #2 Die and my Big Shot for the snowman!  Then, the circle punch that comes in the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack made the buttons!  The hat was just cut with scissors--sorry, no punch!! haha!  I hand-drew the face--as if you couldn't tell that!!  (I cannot even draw stick figures!)

Other items used:  Real Red and Baja Breeze cardstock, along with the Candy Cane Christmas Designer Paper!  I thought it was a fun card--hope you like it, too!!

Now, hop on over to Tiffany's Blog, and see what she did with the sketch!!!

Have a GREAT day!

Sketch Frenzy Friday!

Good morning!!  I am now a designer for the Sketch Frenzy Friday Blog!!  I'm so excited!!  And, without further delay, here is my card for this week's sketch!!

Sff111210

The weather is finally getting cooler here in New Mexico, and the trees along the Rio Grande are GORGEOUS!!  So bright and colorful!  Reminds of me of my wedding day 21 years ago--we were married in a little church in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, in October--the height of the fall colors there!!

I used the Falling Leaves stamp set in More Mustard, Cajun Craze & Pumpkin Pie.  The colors were taken from Stacey' Curtain Call Color Challenge #54.  It's a week or so old, but I really liked the combo, so I used it!

Other items used:  modern label punch, pumpkin pie 5/8" grosgrain ribbon

Your next stop on the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog hop is Tina's blog!!  Enjoy!!  And, leave me a comment--I love gettin' love!! :-)

Have a GREAT day!

'Tis the Season Mini Camp!

Good morning!!  This past Sunday, I help a mini stamp camp at my house!  We concentrated on small gifts that you could give to your friends during the holidays.  Had a great time!!!  Here are the projects we did:

This first project is four 3x3 notecards in a cute little box:

Tistheseason1

These little notecards would be a great gift as a whole, or attach each of the cards to another gift!

Here are the two cards we made (made two of each):

Tistheseason1a

The second project was a cute wall hanging:

Tistheseason2

Isn't this so pretty!?  I know I've seen them everywhere, but my idea came from my downline, Kathy.  She had borrowed some paper from me, and she made a "Boo" wallhanging as a thank you!  It was SOOO cute!  (sorry, no pic!)  The hardest part of this project was threading the seam binding through the button holes!! lol!!

And, last but not least is this lovely tealight holder:

Minicamp1

and the inside:

Minicamp1a

This idea came from Tanya--you can see hers HERE.

If you like these projects, then consider coming to my class in December--we're making cute Teacher Gifts!!  (okay, you don't have to give them to teachers!! :-)!)  Cost is only $20 for three fun gifts!!  Click HERE to register.  (you can also see a preview of one of the projects!!)
