Divas Sketch Challenge #85

I loved the sketch this week for the Sketchy Saturday challenge!!!  I literally made this card in 5 minutes!!!  Yes, it's simple--but, I love it!!  And, it's a great masculine card--just change the sentiment to whatever you need!!

Fun stuff I used for this card:

Define Your Life Stamp Set

Chocolate Chip ink and cardstock; very vanilla cardstock and To The Nines Specialty paper; 5/16" Vanilla brads!!

Be sure to check out the other Divas' work, starting with Tiffany!!

Have a great day!!!  We're off to a double header!!

Embellish Magazine's Blog Hop!!!

It's here!!  The first Embellish Magazine Blog Hop!!  I am so honored to have been a contributor to the first issue, as well as this hop!  I loved the magazine, and can't wait to "hop" through all these wonderful projects!!  So, grab a cup of your favorite morning beverage and enjoy the creativity!!

Don't forget to leave comments on every blog.  Embellish is offering four prizes for 10 lucky winners.  The winners will be randomly selected from each of the blog hop participant blogs.  A comment left on each of the blog hop participant's web site will give you an entry to win one of the prizes, which include Lawn Fawn stamps, May Arts twine, Subscription to Embellish Magazine, and A New Design crinkly stained ribbon!!!

For the hop, we were asked to create a paper craft project using: red, brown, kraft, turquoise and use twine.  (White/Cream are fine to add as well).  I have fallen in love with Stampin' Up!'s new Elements of Style stamp set--so I grabbed that!!

Embellishbloghop (2)

I used my wonderful Big Shot to cut out the three butterflies--one each in Bermuda Bay, Kraft and Real Red.  I stamped the flower image in Basic Brown ink, and watercolored with Real Red and Bermuda Bay.  The pearls are from the Pretties Kit, adhered with Mini Glue Dots.  The card base is Kraft, which is then layered with Bermuda Bay.  I sent my 1/4 sheet of Soft Suede through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  I love that folder!!  But, to be honest--I'm not sure which is the "right" side!! haha!!  So, I just use whichever I like better!  The sentiment is also from Elements of Style--it's stamped in Basic Brown, then I added the flower image in Bermuda Bay.  I'm very happy with the way the card turned out!  Sure hope you like it, too!!!

Divas Coffee Break Design Challenge #178

Good morning, and Happy Wednesday!!!  I can't believe my two boys only have TWO days of school left!!  WOW!!  Summer kinda snuck up on me this year--I think because it hasn't been as hot as it usually is.  But, I'm ready!  It's hard getting up everyday at 5:30am!!  :-)

The challenge today over at the Divas' blog is a color challenge!

Pretty appropriate with Memorial Day around the corner!!  Here's my card:

Never forget those that protect us everyday.

Supplies used:

Seeing Stars and Define Your Life Stamp Sets; Real Red Satin Ribbon, small star punch & stampin' sponges!

Have a wonderful week!!

Another beautiful RAK!!

Happy Monday!!!  I can't believe it's the last week of school!!  I'm so excited for summer!!  The pool is open and ready for friends!!!

And, speaking of friends, look at this beautiful card I received from Cythnia!!

I love it!!!  She combined two sets from the Summer mini--Elements of Style and Sentimental Journey!  What a great idea!!

I'm off to get some stamping done!!!  Enjoy your day!

Nacho Average Stamp Camp!!

Good morning!!  Here are the projects I promised to share with you!  Each quarter, I hold a stamp camp for my great group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators!  It's always such a blast!!

This first project was a CASE of a project by Robin Messinheimer--it's a tea bag holder!  I thought the saying from "Favorite Thoughts" worked perfectly for this project!!

We used Pink Flamingo Designer paper for the tea cup, and the inside:

The second project was a double matchbox treat holder:

I used the Raspberry Lemonade Designer Paper, along with the Razzle Dazzle Stamp Set.  The sentiment is from It's Your Birthday.  And, colors used were Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry.  Here's a peek at the inside:

And, the third project was done with the Big Shot and the Petal Card Die:

I used the Tall Tales Designer Paper for this one!  The bottom (or inside) of the gift card holder was run through the crimper--this makes it just a bit smaller so that it will fit!  This is an old idea--we used to do this with envelopes, too!  And, the flower was made with the scallop, 1 1/4" and 1" circle punches!!

Here's a better view of the entire thing:

My next downline camp will be in August!  Would you like to come?  Join my team and you can!!!   If you're far away, and can't come to Albuquerque, I can mail the projects to you!  Click HERE to find out more information about this wonderful job of mine!!  (my password is nachos)

Have a wonderful day!  We're off to the zoo this afternoon!

Divas Sketch Challenge #84

Happy Saturday!!!  I'm so glad the weekend is here!!  We have no plans--just gonna hang out!!  Pure heaven!!

This week, Carol gave us a tough one!!  Well, for me anyway!!  You can see the sketch HERE at the UDI Blog!

And, here is my card:

The circle were cut using the Big Shot and the Circles #2 Die.  I used the Raspberry Lemonade Designer paper.  The flower is from Petal Pizzazz--I stmaped it in Melon Mambo, then cut it out.

Very simple, but it's the best I could do!!  I might have to try again later today--we'll see!!

For more inspiration, be sure and check out Tiffany's blog!!   She always does something beautiful!!

Have a GREAT day!

Cards from Friends!

Good morning!!  I'm busy today getting ready for my downline stamp camp tonight!!  These are always so much fun!!  I'm really excited about the projects for tonight--sure hope the ladies like them!!  Stay tuned--I'll share them on Sunday!!

Today, I wanted to share some beautiful cards I've received over the last week or so!  They are so cute!!

This is one that my upline, Sherrie, sent me for being in the Top Five in sales for her group:

Love the new set from the Summer mini!!!  And, the designer paper (Island Oasis) is so bright and cheery!  Love it!!!  Maybe I'll use it for my cruise scrapbook from Hawaii!!  (okay, that was years ago, but I'm trying!!)  I'm also working on earning the cruise for this year!!  I have until the end of June!!!  I'm going to have a couple of specials coming in June--be sure and sign up for my newsletter (upper left hand corner)!!  That's the only way to get all the specials!!

Here's a card from one of my stamp club members, Melissa!!!  I LOVE the colors she used!!

I always seem to use more "earthy" tones with this set, but I really like the bright flowers!!  Thanks, Melissa!!

I'm taking sign ups for the next round of clubs!!  Click on the following links if you're interested--you can check out the details, and even sign up!  (all clubs start in September!)

Teacher Gifts!!

Good morning!!  It's been a busy week for me, but so much fun!!!  Recently, I've had several people approach me to do custom orders for them!!  I'm so excited because I get to stamp!!! :-)  Here's one of the orders I had--two teacher name-frames:

I had given these as gifts last year, and one of the recipients liked hers so much, she wanted to give them to her child's teachers!!  Thrilled me!!!

Hope you have a wonderful day!!!
