Haiti Disaster Relief

On January 12, 2010 a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti, leaving in its wake devastation so overwhelming that the Haitian people and their leaders can only look for help from the outside to cope. As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, we want to help make a difference in the lives of those who continue to suffer from the effects of this earthquake by selling, the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set.

From now until February 28, 2010, $2 from every I {Heart} Hearts stamp set we sell will be donated to the American Red Cross' Haiti Relif and Development Fund. The Red Cross is already well-established in Haiti, and this money will be used to provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need.

Product Name Item # Price
I {Heart} Hearts - clear-mount 118571 $18.95 (block D recommended)

And, here's my interpretation:

I used the stamp set we received at the Leadership Conference:  With All My Heart.  It's a fun stamp set, and doesn't have to be used for Valentines!  I also used the Polka Dots Embossing Folder on the red--isn't it pretty!!!  I love the embossing folders--probably my favorite thing to use with the Big Shot!!  And, how do you like the Black Satin ribbon?!!  GORGEOUS!!!  This satin ribbon is so smooth, and very easy to work with!  Colors used are Real Red, Bermuda Bay and Basic Black.  This was a color challenge I had issued to my group, the Nacho Average Stampers!!  Love the bright colors!!

Be sure to check out the rest of the divas on the blog.

Today is the last day to register for the Happy Hearts Class!!  You can see all the details HERE

Raspberry Suite Challenge!

Raspsuite#21

I made this card for a color challenge--but I missed the cut off date!!!  I know--not surprising!! haha!!

I used one of my new favorite stamp sets--Vintage Vogue, from the Occasions Mini Catalog!  It's a very versatile stamp set, and can be used with just about any color combo!  For this card, I used Barely Banana, Bashful Blue and Chocolate Chip.  I also used the Scallop Trim Border and Corner punches, and Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon.

Enjoy your day!!!

Inspiration in Action!!!

WOW!!  Talk about GREAT timing!  I worked on my birthday bash class all day yesterday, and had 5 of the 6 cards designed, sample stamped and cardstock cut!  But, that 6th card just wasn't coming!!  I had ideas about color, and I really wanted to use my new wheel--Very Vintage.  But, couldn't make anything work.  So, after 5 or 6 very ugly cards, I gave up and decided to check my email!  Well, my friend, Gretchen had just posted her Weekend Sketch Challenge, and it was perfect!!!  Everything just clicked, and in just a few minutes, I had my 6th card!!  Thanks, Gretchen!!!! :-)

You can see the wheel in the background, as well as on the main image.  I used my Certainly Celery ink cartridge--to match my Certainly Celery Satin Ribbon!!!  The other color used is Lovely Lilac.  I really love the way it turned out!

Have a GREAT day!!!

Stamping 411 Sketch!!

Good morning!!  I wanted to share a card I made for this week's sketch challenge over at Stamping 411!  I needed a "kid" birthday card for an upcoming class, and was drawing a blank.  So, I looked through my sketches, and came up with this!!  I love working from sketches--really helps me get over any creative blocks I encounter!!  Try it!!

Bdaybash2
I used the Extreme Snowboard and Extreme Elements for this card--love out it all works together!  And, instead of doing a seperate layer for the triangle part of the sketch, I just used some scrap paper to mask it off.  The snowboarder was stamped with Black Craft ink, and embossed with clear embossing powder.  The rest of the card was stamped with Basic Black Classic Ink, which dries faster.  I used Kraft and Basic Black cardstock, and the word window punch for the sentiment (from It's Your Birthday).

My Birthday Bash Class is completely full, but I have another stamp-a-stack coming in Februrary.  You can check it out HERE!!  (register early!!!)

Divas Sketch Challenge #66

Happy Saturday!!!  Don't you just love the weekends?!  Especially three day ones!! :-)  Well, I hope you have a wonderful one!!!

Today's sketch challenge was fun!!  It's really a simple sketch (see it HERE), but it was really hard to just "leave it alone"!!  In fact, I did "cheat" a bit by adding the ribbon at the bottom--oh well!  Hopefully, Carol won't fire me!!  (love ya, Carol!!)

Divasc66
I used the new Good Neighbors set from the Sale-a-bration Mini Catalog!  The paper is also from the same catalog--it's the Welcome Neighbor pad of designer paper!  This pad comes with 72 sheets (6"x6") of designer paper--3 each of 24 designs!!!  For a paper addict, it's heaven!!  And, you know the best part--you can earn it FREE!!!  Yep, just spend $50 before ship/tax, and you can get it or the stamp set FREE!!  What a deal!!!  Contact me to place an order today or place it online at my business website!

Have a GREAT weekend!
