Divas Coffee Break Design #147

Good morning, and happy Wednesday!!!  We had another fun sketch challenge over at the Divas blog!!
DCBD147

Here's my version:

Dcbdtk147

No stamping at all--can you believe it!!!  My main image is the snowflake punch!  I used the "negative"--meaning that I punched the snowflake out of the white square, and used the square on the card, instead of the punched out snowflake.  Then, i carefully added glitter inside the snowflake, with the 2-way glue pen.
Other items used:
Cardstock:  Taken with Teal, Whisper White and Holiday Lounge Designer Paper
Misc:  Half pearls from the Pretties Kit and White Satin Ribbon

Have a GREAT day!!

Happy Halloween!!!

Here's a fun and easy card I made for a challenge on SUDSOL (a great site for Stampin' Up! demonstrators!!).  The challenge was to "case" (copy) a card from our monthly newsletter.

Supplies used:
All Holidays Stamp Set
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie and Night & Day Designer Paper
Ink:  Basic Black
Misc:  1 1/4" Pumpkin Pie Striped Grosgrain, Jumbo brads in silver, 1/2" circle punch and the Modern Label Punch!

Have a GREAT day!!

This one's for you, Charley!!

Good morning!!  I had a special request from a great friend, Charley!  She moved to the  Midwest this summer, and we miss her!!  Anyway, she had seen this card before, and wanted to re-create it!!  So, here ya go!!!

Hallo

This is a fun card to make--I just love the spider eyes!!  Here are the dimensions for the cardstock:

Card base is Whisper White:  8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"

Basic Black:  5 1/4" x 4"

Lovely Lilac:  5" x 3 3/4"

Using the Arachnaphobia wheel and Basic Black Ink, cover the entire front of the Lovely Lilac piece.  Then, color in all the eyes using the White Gel Pen!!  so cute!!  Next , stamp your sentiment on a scrap of whisper white cardstock (this sentiment is retired, but you can use any you have!), then punch out using the small oval punch.  Adhere that piece to a scrap of Basic Black cardstock, then punch out using the large oval punch.  Punch a hole in the left side of the oval, and tie your ribbon through.  I used Black Gingham ribbon here, but the black grosgrain would look great, too!!  Now, adhere the sentiment to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

If you'd like to order any of the items to make this card, you can order ONLINE, or just contact me!
Have a wonderful day!!

Chalks!!!

Good morning!!  I'll be quick today with my post!  I wanted to share a card I made for the weekly challenge on the LateNightStampers group!!  Our challenge was to use our chalks!!  I know I don't pull them out as often as I should--they are so versatile!!!  Anyway, here's my card:

Sepsas1

Isn't this the cutest idea?!!  Okay, it wasn't my idea, but I took it and ran!  I used one of the oval shapes from the Pumpkin Patch stamp set in the Holiday Not-so-Mini Catalog!!  Yep, it's a pumpkin-turned-balloon!!  I stamped the "balloon" three times, using Versamark ink.  Then, using sponge daubers, I "colored" in using chalks!  I used Glorious Green, Lovely Lilac and Real Red--I love how vibrant the colors came out!  I used the same colors of cardstock, then layered them all up!  The ribbon is our new Polka Dot Real Red Grosgrain!  I liked out the dots matched the dots in the balloons!!  The sentiment is from the Heard from the Heart stamp set.

Have a blessed day!

Autumn Splendor

Good morning!!!  It's a beautiful day here in New Mexico!!  I'm so excited--we're going to the State Fair this afternoon!!  I love going--it's always fun to just walk around and look at everything!!  And, of course, I love the food!!!  The Indian Fry Bread is the BEST!!!  :-)

But, before we go, here's a card we made at the September Card Club meeting:

I used the Autumn Splendor stamp set!  It's gorgeous!  I stamped the leaf with Black Stazon, then colored it using my aqua painter and Watercolor Crayons.  I love the colors!!  The card stock is Elegant Eggplant, Always Artichoke, Autumn Days Designer Paper and Watercolor Paper!  Very simple card, but elegant!!  Enjoy!!

Diva Sketch Challenge #48

Happy Saturday!!!  Here's my card for the Divas' sketch over at the UDI blog!!!  Sorry--no time to chat, we're off for a weekend of karate!!  My 12 year old gets to play with weapons today--hmmm, not sure that's a good thing!! haha!!!

The challenge today was a sketch, but we also had to make it monochromatic!  Because I just love the new Night & Day Designer Paper, I decided to go with Black as my color!!!  I used the Extreme Elements Stamp Set--great all-around set!!!

Have a great day!!!  Go stamp!! :-)

Technostamper's Sketch!! (#87)

Hello!!  I've been busy getting ready for my group's stamp camp!!!  This is a first for me--I'm doing a stamp camp just for my downline!!  As demonstrators, we don't always get to "stamp for fun" as often as we'd like, so I decided to do a camp for them--so they can just stamp and have fun!!  I'm really excited about it!!  I'll share the projects with you this weekend!!

Until then, here is my version of the Lunchtime sketch:
Tssc87
I went with the Iridescent Ice again!  I just love the look of this!!  And, aren't these colors just beautiful!!!  We're using them at our 2nd Annual Christmas Card Camp in October!!  I love them!

I used the Snow Swirled Stamp Set--it's one of my favorites!  And the rest of the supplies--

Cardstock:  Kraft, Pretty in Pink, Soft Suede and whisper white

Ink:  Pretty in Pink and Sahara Sand

Misc:  White Satin Ribbon and Pink Taffeta Ribbon

To do the sparkly part--stamp your snowflakes and let dry.  Then, smoosh your versamark pad all over the white piece.  Dump your Iridescent Ice embossing powder over the whole thing, then emboss!!!  Very pretty effect!!

Have a GREAT day!!!
