Nacho Shoebox Swap!!

Wow!!  I'm really late in posting these cards!!  My wonderful downline met way back on August 14 for a shoebox swap!  What fun we had!!  I love getting together with these girls--they always get me re-energized!!

Leilanishoebox

This beautiful card was designed by Leilani--love these colors together!!  (rich razzleberry, bermuda bay & soft suede)
Sharonw

This quick and easy card was designed by Sharon!!  I love it!!!  and, I learned that you can use the two-way glue pen to attach the micro beads!!!  It looks great!!  I love the ribbon on this card!
Jennishoebox

Jenni designed this card!  I think it's so pretty!!  Again--learned a tip!  If you purchase this set (Scenic Season)  you can cut the "season's greetings" apart from the trees--just mount the sentiment on the end of the block.  That way, you don't have to use the greeting everytime you stamp the trees!!  And, now you've created a set that can be used year round!!

This is the card I designed for the swap.  When a new team member comes to her first shoebox swap, I always do her card for her--then she can just come and stamp and get to know everyone!  I had made this card for a challenge, and decided to use it for Marge's first swap!!  You can find all the details HERE!

and, here's my card!  I used Animal Stories and the Tall Tales Designer Paper.  The saffron piece is actually what opens, instead of the full card!

Enjoy your Sunday!!

Sketchy Saturday!

Happy Saturday!!!  It's going to be such a fun day!!  We're having Brandon's 12th Birthday party this afternoon, and he's very excited about it!  His birthday was the 24th, but with all the traveling, this was our first chance to have the party.  Let's just hope the sunny weather holds out for us!!

Saturday also means a new sketch over at the UDI blog!!  I really love the way my card turned out!  But, I made a booboo--I used the Juntos Designer Paper from the Spanish catalog.  Well, I went to look up the colors used in the designer paper, and I couldn't find it!!!  It's been retired!!  So, I apologize--I really thought it was in there!! :-)
Divasc45 Supplies used:

Autumn Splendor and Thank You Kindly Stamp Sets

Cardstock:  Mellow Moss, Chocolate Chip, watercolor paper and Juntos Designer Paper

Ink:  Basic Brown

Misc:  1 1/4" Choc Chip Striped Grosgrain, Modern Label Punch, Watercolor Crayons and Aquapainter

This was a really fun sketch!  I hope you'll take some time and try your hand at it!!!

Have a great day!!!

Technostamper's Sketch!!

Good morning!!!  I had so much fun with this card!!  I created it for Mary Jo's Technostamper's Sketch!

Tssc84
I used the Level 2 Hostess set, Christmas Punch, for the stamping.  The beautiful silver pattern was made using the Big Shot!!  It's a new embossing folder (coming Sept 1!!!) called Petals-a-plenty!  I brayered one side with Night of Navy ink, then put in my silver cardstock and sent it through my Big Shot!  The ink doesn't show up on the embossed part!!!    I will show this technique at my September Stamp-a-Stack--click HERE for more details on this class!

Have a great day!!!

Mojo Monday #101

Happy Thursday!!  I spent the morning yesterday stamping!  It was very relaxing!  I had no idea what I wanted to work on, so I just pulled out some sketches!  You know how I love sketches--they make cardmaking so easy!  This is a card I made for the Mojo Monday sketch:

Mojo101 I used a new stamp set from the Holiday Mini (coming Sept 1!!).  It's called Autumn Splendor.  I love it!!  It's very easy to work with, and I love using the watercolor crayons and aquapainter with it!!  For this leaf, I simply stamped using Basic Brown ink, then colored!!  I punched it out using the 1 3/4" circle punch and layered that onto Sage Shadow and Choc Chip Cardstock.  The designer paper is from the To the Nines pack.  The sentiment is from the Level I hostess set, Holiday Best.

Hope you enjoy it!!  Have a great day!!!

I'm home!!!!

Yep, after what seems like months and months, I am back home from the Junior League World Series!!!  The boys had a great time, and finished 4th.  Not too bad!!  We were 2-2, and tied for second, but was placed 4th after the tie breakers.  What an experience!!!  I have to give a shout out to the city of Taylor, Michigan.  They are the nicest people I've met in a long time!!  They were so friendly, and even fed us on numerous occasions!!  And, believe me, when you've been traveling for 2 months, every little bit helps ALOT!!  (we had to purchase airline tickets from Albuquerque to Detroit, with only 3 days notice--can you imagine that price tag?!!!)

Anyway, here's some pics from the world series!!  Enjoy, and I'll try to have some actual stamping projects soon!!
