Our Last Challenge!!

Well, it's been a fun three months, but all good things must come to an end!!  The first quarter Design Team for the Latenightstampers was a great group of ladies--we had a blast getting to know one another, and creating with each other.  Thanks to all of them for a memorable quarter!!  So, our last challenge was "Birds of a Feather"-- what can you come up with using a bird in your project?!!  What fun!!  Of course, the owl is the Latenightstampers mascot, so I had to use one!!  I don't have any owl stamps though!  So, I pulled out the So Tweet On Board, and used one of those owls!!  I actually just traced him onto the designer paper, then cut him out!!

I used the Oval All Stamp set--coming soon in the Occasions Mini Catalog!!  And the "hi there" is from the Fundamental Phrases set!

Cardstock:  Bordering blue, So Saffron, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White and Bella Birds Designer Paper

Ink:  Bordering Blue

Misc:  5/8" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain, 1" & 3/4" Circle Punches, large, small & scallop oval punches, Scalloped edge punch.

Oh--and I used the sanded background stamp!!

Easter Basket

Can you believe Easter is only two weeks away?!  Have you made your cards and treats yet?  Today make it your goal to at least plan your cards and treats, then contact me to place your orders!!

I made this basket using the #2 Die Box and the Big Shot!  I simply cut off the top flaps of the box, then put sticky strip all the way around it. Using my word window punch and scraps, I punched out all the soft colors--then lined them up!!!  I used the Certainly Celery ribbon from the Sale-a-bration bundle for the handle--it really stands up nicely!!  It's attached using jumbo eyelets!

I've been thinking about doing a tutorial for this basket--what do you think?  Would you like to see one, or is it pretty self-explanatory?  Leave me a comment!!

UDI Divas Sketch Challenge

Happy Saturday!!!  I'm actually in Phoenix as you read this--Cameron is playing in a baseball tournament!  I'm hoping this scheduling thing works!!  :-) 

Anyhoo--it's Saturday, which means it's time for Sketchy Saturday over at the UDI Blog.  I liked this sketch, but I'm not sure about my card.  I think the main image block needs something, but I can't figure out what!!  Oh well..............

The card base is made with the Black textured cardstock found in the Taste of Textiles collection. (pg. 156, #113991, $9.95)  And, the 'striped' white is also from the same collection.  All five pattterns are beautiful!!

I cut the white cardstock to size, then placed it in the Manhattan Flower embossing folder--you can place it exactly where you want it!  Then, just send it through your Big Shot!  I used sponges to add a little bit of color--Basic Gray and Pretty in Pink.

Other items used:  1 1/4" Pink Pirouette Grosgrain ribbon, 3/8" Black Grosgrain ribbon, and the half pearls from the Pretties Kit.

Fun & Simple

  Good morning!!!  Here's a card I created one day, for no reason at all!!  I was going through my Stampin' Up! Catalog & Idea Book (my fav!!!), and came across this card on page 26.  The catalog is one of my first stops when I need a little inspiration.  The photography is beautiful, and ALL the cards are Gorgeous!!!  If you need a copy, drop me an email!!

I used the Happy Heart Day stamp set--so nice to be able to use a "holiday" set all year!!

Other supplies used:

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose & Sweet Always Designer Paper

Ink:  Basic Black

Misc:  3/8" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain ribbon, 1 3/4" circle punch & Scallop Circle punch

Divas Coffee Break Design Challenge

Good morning!!!  Our challenge for this week is a color challenge:

  I love these colors!!  So soft and "spring"-y!!  Here's my card!  I used the 5th Avenue Floral stamp set--I absolutely LOVE this stamp set!!  It is so easy to use, and there are lots of ideas "out there"!!  Hope you enjoy it!!  Be sure and check out the other design team members' creations!!  You can see the challenge here.  Be sure and post a comment if you decide to play along! 

Mojo Monday!!

Hi!!  Gosh, it's been a long time since I've been able to do the Mojo Monday Sketch!!  Just been busy, busy, busy with classes and workshops!!  But, I did manage to get this one done tonight--it's a very simple card, but I really like the way it turned out!!

Sneak Peek!!

HI!!  I was playing with some of my new toys from the upcoming Occassions Mini Catalog--I love this new scallop oval punch!!!!  Layers perfectly with our small and large oval punches!!

  There is also a NEW stamp set that coordinates with the scallop oval punch!!  Very pretty!!  I stamped the thank you twice--once on white, then again on a scrap of Bashful Blue.  I punched out the white with the large oval punch, and the blue with the new scallop oval punch!  If you look close, (click on picture to make it larger) you can see the little dots on the blue!
