Beate's WSC #49

Hello everyone!!!  Here is my version of Beate's WSC 49!

Tkfitewsc49

I used Greetings Galore stamp set, with the Berry Bliss Designer Paper.  Other colors used were Pretty in Pink and Barely Banana.

For the scallop around the stamped image, I simply punched out a bunch of 3/4" circles, and adhered them to the back of the white cardstock!

The dots are done with the Seeing Spots Classy Brass template.

Happy Stamping!!!

Cuttlebug

ood morning!!!  Yesterday was such a nice day--well, the weather was cold and rainy, but it was a nice family day!  My two boys sat in my stamp room and played on the computer (on on the desktop, one on the laptop).  They've recently discovered Hearts (the card game), and were playing that.  I sat and made up some cards for RAK's!!

I've seen alot done with the Cuttlebug, and haven't played with mine much so I pulled it out!!  If you know me, you know that I don't use too much that isn't Stampin' Up!.  I purchased the Crop-a-dile before we sold it--and boy have I used it!!  I'm so glad we sell it now!!  The other thing I couldn't live without is the Cuttlebug.  My husband bought it for me--he thought it was cool, too!!  Anyway.............here's a card I made using it:

All the other supplies are Stampin' UP!

Heartfelt Thanks stamp set

Always Artichoke, Bashful Blue, So Saffron & Very Vanilla cardstock; Le Jardin Designer Paper

So Saffron & Mellow Moss Stampin' Write markers;  Always Artichoke stamp pad.

Well, I really liked this card, so I had to come up with a "pure" Stampin' Up! version!!

The card is exactly the same, but for the embossing, I used the Seeing Spots Classy Brass template, my light box and a stylus!!  I think it turned out great!!!

Hope you're having a great Memorial Day weekend!!

Happy Stamping!

Last of the Teacher Gifts!!!

Good morning!!!  Again, I have to apologize for my lack of posts!!  It's been a crazy week, but it'll all calm down today at noon!!!  Brandon's last day of school was yesterday, and Cameron's is today!!  I officially don't have any kids in elementary school anymore!!  (I'm okay for now, but wait until I have to send my baby to middle school in August!!!)

Anyway, I was up until midnight last night getting these tins finished!  We bought gift cards for all Cameron's teachers, but last night I decided that just a card wasn't enough!!  So, I ditched the cards I had made, and got to work on these DVD tins!!

Tkfiteteachergift1

I used the Live Your Dream stamp set along with the Afternoon Tea Designer Paper--they go so well together!!  And, I love the colors:  Groovy Guava, Choc Chip, Bashful Blue and Wild Wasabi!!  The ribbon is the Chocolate Chip Twill ribbon, found in the Occasions Mini Catalog.

Here is the inside of the tin--the left side has a pocket for receipts, notes, etc!  This is where I inserted the gift cards!

Hope you're all having a wonderful day!!!

Techno Stamper's Monday Sketch #17

Good Morning!!  I'm a day behind--sure hope you all had a great weekend!!  Ours was filled with baseball!!  Brandon had a Little League game on Saturday morning--what a game!!!  We were behind the whole game, but in the last inning, we came back to win!  And, Bran scored the winning run!!  You should've seen his big o' smile!!  Saturday night, we went to the Isotopes game for our Team of the Night.  Bran always loves this--he is in awe of those players!!

Isotopes_teamnight_040 This is on the big screen at the game.  They introduce all the players right before the National Anthem--so fun for the boys!!

Sunday was more baseball.  Both boys had two games each, and boy is it hot!!  Hard to believe we were just COLD on Thursday!!  I'm happy though--we're ready for summer!  And only four more days of school!!

Onto the stamping!!  I made this for MJ's Monday Sketch--last week!!  I did make the card on Saturday, just didn't get it posted until today!!

I used the Loads of Love stamp set and the Loads of Love Accessories stamp set.  I colored in with Stampin' Write markers!  Colors used are Real Red and Basic Black!!

Have a great day!!

Monday Sketch #18

Hi!  I had to make a couple of cards for teachers tonight, and didn't really have any ideas in mind!!  So, I went through some of the sketch challenges, and came across Mary Jo's Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  Here's what I came up with:

Tkfitemonday1

Supplies used:

One of a Kind Stamp Set

Bashful Blue & Whisper White cardstock; Summer Picnic Designer Paper

Die Cut Blooms, District Ribbon Originals, Fire Circle Rhinestone Brad, Small & Large Oval Punches

Tkfitemonday2

As you can see in this picture, the front of the card is shorter, so you can see the designer paper used on the inside!!

What a great sketch!!

Taylor's Cupcake Challenge #16

I told you I had time to play on Saturday!!!  This is another sketch challenge I saw while blurfing!  I really liked the layout, so gave it a whirl!!  The sketch can be seen here.

517challenge5 I used the Bud Basics & Absolutely Fabulous stamp sets.

Cardstock:  Textured Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black & Whisper White; East Coast Prep Designer Paper

Ink:  Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi & Black Stazon

Happy Stamping!!!

WSC #48

Good afternoon!!!  I was able to "play" a little yesterday after Bran's baseball game, so I did some challenges!  This is for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge:

517challenge1

Not alot of stamping involved--just the sentiment from the Smarty Pants stamp set!  The card base is textured Blue Bayou cardstock, and the layers are both from the Spring Break designer paper!!  Very simple card, but I love the way it turned out!!!

Happy Stamping!!

Teacher Gift

Good evening!!!!  This afternoon, we surprised my son's teacher with a cake and gifts--she's been his teacher for two years, and now he is moving on to middle school!  And, she is also retiring!!  She is just the most awesome teacher!!!  So, we collected money and bought her a day at the spa, as well as a visa gift card.  I made this tin to put the gifts in!  I was so happy with the way it turned out!!!

Teacher_gift_003

I used the Live Your Dream stamp set along with the coordinating designer paper, Afternoon Tea.  Colors used were Groovy Guava, Chocolate Chip and Wild Wasabi.

Teacher_gift_007

Here is the inside--the left side is just the greeting, and the right side holds the two gift cards!

Teacher_gift_006

Here's the view with the cards inserted..............Teacher_gift_009

To make the pockets, I just used white medium envelopes.

The hardware is from the Styled Silver Hodgepodge Kit--found in the Occasions Mini Catalog.

Enjoy!!

Scrapbook Club Project

Good morning!!  I'm so sorry to have neglected you for so long!!  It's been a busy week--school is out next week, and there are a million activities going on!!  I can't believe it's Brandon's last week of elementary school!!  Can he really be old enough for middle school??  Yes, he is.  He's more than ready!!  It's just mom that isn't quite there yet!!! :-)

Anyway, amid all the school activities, I have squeezed in some stamping!!  My scrapbook club is meeting tonight, and this is the 2-page spread I came up with!  I started with Cyndi's Sketch #8, although I did have to change it just a little bit!

Mayscrapclub1 I used the Classic Stars Jumbo wheel with Ruby Red ink for the background paper.  The title is done with the Taffy & Rough Edges Alphabets.

Colors used were Blue Bayou, Soft Sky & Ruby Red.

Mayscrapclub5

I used chipboard stars, and covered them with Western Sky Designer Paper.  The inside stars are done with the large & small star punches and textured cardstock.

Mayscrapbook4

These are the Pewter Build-a-Brads.  The star is from the Wanted stamp set, and is stamped in Soft Sky.  I might change that to Blue Bayou--I think it would stand out more.  I mounted the brads on a 1" ruby red circle, than attached to the page with stampin' dimensionals!

Enjoy!!!
