Good morning!! I got alot of stamping done this weekend!! My house is a mess, but I'm happy!! haha!! This was the first weekend in a long time that we didn't have baseball games--now, I really do love baseball, and enjoy watching my boys play, BUT, this weekend was so nice and relaxing!! For the boys, too!! We bought a Wii for them (we decided to stimulate the economy just a bit with our Bush money!!), and they played all weekend!! It's really fun--and you really do have to be and active to play!!! So, all in all, we've had a wonderful "family" weekend!!
Back to the stamping!! I made this card for Amy's Super Sunday Sketch. I just love her blog--she has such talent!!! And, she LOVES patterned paper!! haha!! That's always a challenge! She not only gives us a sketch, but she makes us use 3 different papers!!! It's fairly simple when you use Stampin' Up!'s designer paper--all the patterns in one package coordinate!!
For this card, I used the East Coast Prep designer paper! I also used Bud Basics--it's an older set, but somehow it's the one I've been reaching for lately!! I think it works well with the bright colors of summer!
Other items used: Real Red & Whisper White cardstock; "Hello" from Sweet Shapes stamp set; tempting turquoise grosgrain ribbon
For the pearl embellishment (see below), I simply punched out three circles using the 1/2" circle punch. I then adhered the half pearls from the Pretties Kit with Mini Glue Dots!! I love the way it turned out!!!
Hope you all have a wonderful week!!
