Julie's Color Concoction!

Here's a different kind of challenge!  A color challenge!  Julie posted her color concoction of More Mustard, Always Artichoke & Sahara Sand!  It is really a masculine combination, but I tried and tried to make it feminine!! haha!!  (I don't think I really succeeded--not too happy with either of these cards!)

Jcc2tkfite I used "Live Your Dream" stamp set on both cards.  Just used my markers to "color in" on the marker, huff, then stamp!!  I sorta like the layout on this card, but think it needs something!  Maybe I should use a background stamp on the sahara sand piece?  I'm not sure!  I'll have to try again later!!!

For this one, I used Beate's Weekend Sketch again.  I like it a little more than the first one, but not much!! haha!!  It needs something, too.  Any ideas?!!!

Anyway, hope you're having a wonderful day!!

Happy Stamping!!!

Weekend Sketch Challenge #44

HI!  Here's another for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge!  Aren't these fun?!  I love having a sketch to start my creativity!

Wsc44tkfite I used the Tart & Tangy stamp set--it's so nice for those quick and easy cards!!!  The designer Paper is Summer Picnic from the Occassions mini catalog.  I used my real read and old olive markers for the image on the tag.  I just love this stamp set and paper--they go together so well!!

Have a great day!!

Super Sunday Sketch

Hi!  I'm back from Las Cruces!  We had a great time!  I managed to get in a little stamping tonight!!  I had to catch up on my blog-reading, and came across some sketch challenges I wanted to try!  Here's the first--it's Amy Westerman's Super Sunday Sketch !  I absolutely love the way Amy puts together different patterns on one card--now she's challenging everyone else to do it, too!!  It was a little hard for me, but thank goodness most of our designer papers have at least 3 patterns that "go together"!!

Ssctkfite  I used the Summer Picnic Designer Paper, along with the Tart & Tangy Stamp set!  I really like the way it turned out!!

I'll have more for you tomorrow--need to get my "babies" in bed!!!

Happy Stamping!!

Blossoms Abound

I sadly have not stamped the last few days.  I have been very busy with a couple of projects, as well as an Algebra test yesterday!!  And, to top it all off, I woke up yesterday with a fever of 101 degrees!!  Talk about being in a daze all day!  Not sure how I did on my test!! :-)  My final is next Thursday!

Another project I've been working on are table centerpieces for my church.  They're having a big dinner tomorrow evening.  It was alot of fun to do, but alot of work!!  I'm taking them up to the church this morning!!

I'm off to Las Cruces with my youngest son today--he's competing in the Battle of the Books competition tomorrow!  We're going to have alot of fun!!  My oldest son and my husband are off to a baseball tournament in Farmington.  It's weird to be going in two different directions!!

Anyway, here's a card I made a LOOOONNNNGGGG time ago!!

Tkfitefresh1 I used the Blossoms Abound stamp set.  The colors are Rose Red, Regal Rose, Old Olive and Mellow Moss.  Very simple, but I liked it!!

Hope you all have a great day!!  I'll be back on Sunday!!!

Afternoon Tea--Another Challenge!!!

Yesterday, while I had all the "stuff" out for Amy's challenge, I went ahead and played a little more with it!!  Here's a thank you card I made for the Mojo Monday sketch!!  This is the first time I've tried the "Mojo Monday", although I love all her sketches!!

Liveyourdream1 Live Your Dream Stamp Set

Cardstock:  Chocolate Chip, Groovy Guava, Soft Sky, Whisper White & Afternoon Tea Designer Paper

Ink:  Groovy Guava, Wild Wasabi & Chocolate Chip

Happy Stamping!!

Amy's Mom's Day Challenge

Hi!!  What a great day we had today!  We "kidnapped" our kids from school at noon, and then went to a baseball game!!  We love going to see the Isotopes play--they're a minor team, farm team for the Dodgers, I think!  Anyway, both my boys are doing great in school--great grades and great attitudes.  We don't pay for grades (they get A's anyway, so don't need the incentive!!), instead, we reward them in other ways!  Like letting them play hookie to see a game!!

Anyway, they're now all at their own baseball practices, and I'm home alone!  Love the quiet!!  I sat down and stamped a little bit!  Here's a card I made for Amy's Mother's Day Challenge!  I love the way it turned out!!  Amy is very talented, and she is really great at putting several different patterned papers together!  So, I tried it!!  So, what do you think??

Tkfitechal2 I used "Live your Dream" and "All Holidays" stamp sets, along with the Afternoon Tea Designer Paper.  The card base is a 5 1/4" square.  I then layered a 5" square of Groovy Guava, and then the designer paper.  The flower at the bottom is stamped with Groovy Guava, Chocolate chip & Wild Wasabi;  I punched it out using the 1 1/4" punch.  The wasabi was punched with the 1 3/8" circle punch, then a scalloped circle of Groovy Guava.  I like the way this turned out!!  Thanks, Amy, for the inspiration!!

Happy Stamping!

Cleaning..............

Good morning!!  I spent most of the day yesterday cleaning house.  I finished the rest of the house, then started on my stamp room.  Well, that took forever, and I'm still not done!!  I'm just a messy crafter!!  And, not very organized, but I hold onto everything!!  :-)  I did manage to throw away some stuff, and feel a little better!!  Anyway, the whole point of this post is that I found some old samples stashed away!!  I'm sure these were all swap cards that I had intended to CASE!!   I really love all these cards, but can't even give credit, as they aren't signed on the back.  Hope you like them, too!!  (and, if they're your creation, please let me know!!! )

Misctkfite1

I did actually stamp this one--it was one of our make-n-takes at convention several years ago!

Misctkfite3

Aren't these colors sooo pretty!!  I really love this set, but don't use it very often.  I'll have to pull it out again!!

Misctkfite4

I just love the simplicity of this card!  The set is now retired, but I'm sure we could find a set to use from the current catalog!!

Misctkfite5

Here's anotehr of my favs!!  The paper is no longer available, but we have so many others we could use!!

Misctkfite6

And, last but not least, is this pretty blue and yellow!!  Love it!!

Hope you enjoy these samples!!

Happy Stamping!!!

April Card Club #2

Here's another card I designed for my April card club!!  I know the colors are weird, but those are our high school colors!!!  Thank goodness, my boys will go to the new HS--their colors are black and platinum.  Okay, not much better..............

On to the card:  I used the Year after Year stamp set and coordinating wheel.  The sentiment is from Aprilcc04_2 Fundamental Phrases--this is a great word set with lots of options!!  Colors are More Mustard and Close to Cocoa.  Simple card.  Now that I look at it, maybe I should have colored in the cap?  Any suggestions?

Have a great day!!
