Scrapbook Club!

Good evening!!  I'm sorry it's been such a long time between postings, but I've not been feeling well.  I had a migraine, and it took me a few days to get rid of it!  Today, I woke up feeling great--thank goodness!!  And, very behind with everything!! :-)  But, it was a great day, and I'm so thankful to not have a headache!!

My scrapbook club met tonight!  We meet once a month and make a 12"x12" 2-page spread!  This month was a spring theme!

Scrapclubmarch The only stamping involved was the title.  I went with "Happy Spring", but these would make great Easter pages, too!  Or birthday, or whatever!!!  I used the Taffy alphabet.

The base is So Saffron.  I also used Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and Whisper White cardstock.  The Designer paper is Spring Fling--very soft and pretty!  The three dots are so saffron (punched out with 1/2" punch), with a pretty in pink brad in the middle!  And, the flowers are all from the Love & Happiness Rub-ons from the Sale-a-bration mini catalog!!  (you can still get these FREE with a $50 purchase, but only until the 17th!!)

This weekend is very busy--both boys are playing in baseball tournaments.  One is playing in Rio Rancho, and the other in Los Lunas!!  So, you may not hear from me again until Monday!! :-)  Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

Thank You Gift

Good morning!!  Here is a small notebook I made for one of my son's good friends!  (her mom and I are friends as well!!)  Anyway, I needed someone to work my shift in the library on Friday afternoon (volunteer shift), and Melissa did it for me!!  Melissa and Cameron have been in school together since 1st grade!!  I really appreciated the help, and she was so excited to do it!!

Melissa_003 She always has a small notebook with her, so I made this one!  It's made with the 4" coasters--one for each cover.  I covered each with Pretty in Pink cardstock for the outside, and So saffron on the inside.  For the cover, I layered the designer paper (Spring Fling), then So Saffron.  I printed her name on Whisper White.  I stamped the flowers from "One of a Kind" in Pretty in Pink and So Saffron.  The pen is also done with the Spring Fling Designer Paper.

Melissa_004 Here's a view of the cover without the pen and ribbon!

Melissa_005 And here's an up-close of the main image.  I used the 5-petal punch and pretty in pink cardstock, then layered a flower from the Pretties kit.  The brad is from the Fire circle rhinestone brads!

I think it turned out cute!!  I hope she likes it!!

Have a great day!!!

March Card Club

Marchcardclub_001 My card club met last night--lots of laughs as usual!!  This is really a great bunch, and we always have a great time together!!

Anyway, here's one of the cards we made.  I used the Wild Wasabi cardstock that you can purchase for a limited time.  It measures 4 1/2" x 11 1/2", and is pre-scored for you!  It is textured cardstock, and you get 16 pieces for only $3.95!!  It's a great deal!!!

Other supplies used:

One of A Kind & Boho Backgrounds Stamp Sets

Cardstock:  Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, Whisper White, More Mustard, Wild Wasabi;  East Coast Prep Designer Paper

Ink:  Wild Wasabi, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise & More Mustard

Misc:  Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware, Real Red Grosgrain, Boho Blossoms Punch & Silver brads.

Marchcardclub_009 Here's a card made with the new Sassy Suzie stamp set, in the Occasions Mini Catalog!!  She is so cute, and very funny!!  You can see the new mini catalog here.

I used Black Stazon ink to stamp Suzie, then colored her in using Stampin' Write Markers.  The flower is from the Level III hostess set, "Time Well Spent"--but, you could use any flower image.

Please see the Card Club Photo album for the other four cards we made last night!!

Enjoy your weekend!!

WSC38

Woohoo!!  I've already done Beate's weekend sketch challenge!!!

Wcs38tkfite_2 I used the Wanted Stamp Set again!  And, the Western Sky Designer Paper!!  To be honest, when I saw her sketch, I thought, "I can do this one!!".  So, I sat down at my desk, and just grapped what was there!  (I hadn't cleaned up from my last stamping session!!)  So, that's why I used all the same supplies as the last weekend sketch challenge!!  I really need to clean up!

But, not gonna happen now--I'm off to get my hair done!!

Have a great day!!!

Beate's Weekend Sketch

Here's my attempt at Beate's weekend challenge!!  You can see the sketch here.

Wsc37tkfite I used the Wanted stamp set and the Western Sky Designer Paper.  The base of the card is Soft Sky.  The horses in motion are stamped in Blue Bayou on whisper white cardstock, then layered onto a scrap of Blue Bayou cardstock.  The stars are stamped in Blue Bayou on Soft Sky cardstock, then punched out with the small star punch!!  The whole card took about 5 minutes!!!  Easy Peasy!!

Happy Stamping!!

Where have I been????

Stamp Camp!!!  We had our spring stamp camp this morning, and as usual, the week before is hectic!!  But, it's always worth it!!  We did five projects, and all the guests seemed to enjoy them!  It was a nice morning all-around!!

Here is one of our projects:

Jellybeanbagfront The bag was designed by Anne, and it's actually sized to fit the Ghiradelli squares.  But, we wanted to be more "Spring-y", so we opted for the jelly beans!!  You can find the template on Anne's blog here.

We used "A Good Egg" on this project--just love that little chick!!  He is stamped in Black Stazon, then colored with barely banana.  The egg is "colored" with the 2-way glue pen, then covered with Dazzling Diamonds glitter!!  The bag itself is a sheet of acetate (transparency), andwe stamped the flowers with the White Stazon.  The Stazon is wonderful because it doesn't take too long to dry, even on the acetate!!

Jellybeanbagtag Here's an up-close of the tag.....

Jellybeanbagside and, the side view--you can see the white stamping a little better!

Enjoy your weekend!!

Happy Stamping!!
