Nacho Average Christmas Party!

Last night some of my team members met for a Christmas dinner at a local restaurant, Cervantes.  We always have so much fun!  This year was really special for me -- I haven't been able to have monthly meetings like I used to, and I've really missed seeing these ladies.  So, we've renewed our commitment to meeting once a month, even if it's just for dinner! :-)

Here are the gifts I made for the girls:

Gift bags had hand lotion, hand sanitizer and lip balm:

and, this is just a simple wrapped candy bar -- but I love how festive it looks!

We also do a swap each year, and this was my card!

WWYS? #33

Good morning, and welcome to another fun challenge from the What Will You Stamp Blog!  This week's stamp set is Sweet Hauntings!

I decided to make a gift card holder!  This would be a fun project for your kids, a co-worker, etc!

I used our Kraft Tag-a-Bag gift bags, and simply folded in half!  It creates two pockets -- one for the gift card and one for you to write a sentiment:

Cute, huh?!!

Perpetual Calendar

Wow!  Am I behind!!  Every year, my group, the Nacho Average Stampers, has a Christmas party.  We have dinner, exchange cards and do a fun gift exchange!  Here is the perpetual calendar I made for my gift:

2014-12-07 19.11.02

Sorry for the poor pic quality -- tried taking it in my stamp room, without good lighting.  I started with chipboard, and covered that with designer paper -- from the Brights Stack and the Back to Black pack.  I stamped the calendar pages using the Flower Patch stamp set.  Colors are Strawberry Slush, Bermuda Bay and Basic Black!

Gift Certificate!

I sell alot of gift certificates, and I always enjoy making a pretty holder for them!  I know the recipients will appreciate them, and the "givers" appreciate having a ready made gift!  Here's one I made for one of my awesome customers (Hi Patsy!!) last fall!  I didn't want to post until she used it--just in case! :-)

and open:

Love this color combo!!!

Let me know if you'd like one!!  Makes a great birthday present!!!

December Club Projects

Here are the three things we made for our December projects!   Our theme for December was "stocking stuffers"!!

A cute little gift bag made from the Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack:

A fun Ghiradelli treat -- you could also put a tea bag in these:

with a gift tag in the back pocket:

and finally, a triangle box using the Under the Tree Specialty Paper:

Merry Christmas!!!

Festival of Trees Chocolate Treat

  • 5.-1/2” x 2” Card Stock of your color choice
  • 1-3/4” x 1-3/4” Designer Series Paper (DSP)
  • 7” White Organza Ribbon
  • Scrap Whisper White

  1. Score one end of the 2” x 5-1/2”card stock at 2-5/8", flip it over and score on the other end at 2-5/8".  This should give you a nice 1/4" base for the candy.
  2. Punch each end of card stock using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.
  3. Add the DSP to one side of the punched card stock (this will be your front).
  4. Wrap cardstock around candy.  Use a little SNAIL adhesive to attach the candy to the card stock.
  5. Stamp the tree in Garden Green on scrap white paper and then stamp either the garland or dots in Cherry Cobbler on top of tree.
  6. Punch out tree using the tree punch.  Adhere to the front using Stampin Dimensionals.
  7. Stamp the A Merry Little Wish in Cherry Cobbler on scrap white, punch out using Word Window.
  8. Adhere across the tree using Stampin Dimensionals.
  9. Slip Ribbon thru top and tie in knot.
